Appreciate the meaning behind this idea to you all.
This is something we'd like to continue to track on the site here, however to upfront in order to generate the barcode there's work that'd need to be done on IRD's end to enable this.
We've reached out to engage them on this, but there is no immediate plans from our end, at this time.

Hey team, thanks for all your input on partial asset disposal.
We understand that manually managing parts of an asset can be time-consuming. While we don't have plans at this time to develop a built-in feature, your feedback's really helpful in showing us where things could improve.
For now, manual methods to calculate depreciation and record journal entries to keep things accurate would be the best option.
However, this is a feature that we'd like to revisit as we plan our future roadmaps, and will be happy to share if there is any traction around this. Please keep sharing this idea with any colleagues you feel could benefit from this too.

The addition of this feature would be so helpful.
Note the the previous/other tax system I used prior to Xero Tax had this function.

Agreed, we have multiple users attached to each client Xero file (from our accounting practice) every time there's an unfiled pay-run or employee bank account change, all the connected users are notified, this is unnecessary.
Can a tick box be added to control these please?
