Hi Gloria, could you give detail on what is missing in the packing slip that doesn't quite suit your clients needs here?

Constantly having to do partial deliveries to customers given suppliers lack of stock for some order items.
Ability to Create Delivery Notes - for partial delivery of an order is critical. Packing slip concept is so outdated !!
Currently my workaround is to add any serial no's to invoice and then generate a Packing Slip PDF and edit using Adobe - so time consuming.. Will be getting Claude to assist with this but rather have functionality in Xero.
We often backorder on suppliers plus invoice customers upfront for all of our goods and customer typically pay prior to delivery ( or if approved - we may ship prior to payment).
Xero does not currently handle these models well !!

Packing Slip is NOT fit for purpose - Need to be able to edit this and call it a Delivery Note and add custom information as well as ideally record serial no's - automatically or manually ( would be great start ).
This has been missing since Xero started..

Hi team, pleased to share another update as progress moves along in this space.
We'd now doing some early testing of the teams concepts for being able to bundle inventory in Xero.

Very keen to get an update on this functionality. We have a single product SKU - which is made up of three or four sub componets. When we sell the single product we need to allocate funds to the appropriate components which in terms are from 3rd party suppliers. Customer only gets to see a single product SKU.

Thanks for adding your support and feeding back on your needs in this idea, everyone.
While we understand how multiple sections with separate subtotals could make it easier to present options clearly and avoid sending several quotes to the same customer, we want to be upfront that this is not something we have development plans for in the near term.
Right now, a couple of options to add structure would be to use description-only lines as section headings within a quote. Alternatively, attaching separate documentation that accompanies your quote and depicts the breakdown.
We understand this isn't the ideal solution you're after here but may help some present quote details more clearly.
Another option is to explore our ecosystem apps to see if there's a service that can accommodate your full quoting needs.

While only on an invoice by invoice basis atm there is a slightly simpler option that the team released that will help create a packing slip for invoices.
Would be good to get a sense of the interest for a bulk option and creating for multiple invoices at once.

Thanks everyone, we appreciate the appetite in being able to view outstanding or a summary of unpaid invoices from the homepage.
Being closely engaged and feeding back with our product teams I can confirm your feedback's been taken onboard, however at this time there are no plans for developing a widget of this nature.
We will keep assessing the votes this idea continues to receive overtime and should there be an opportunity that this is picked up I will be happy to share an update with you all. Thanks

Would be nice to get an update on the Xero roadmap re Inventory functionality and Inventory Plus functionality into Australia region - Really would like to see some commitment / update from Xero on additional functionality as they appear to not be growing with the businesses that initially supported them.
