    Hi everyone, it's helpful to know that having bank feeds available for banks based in Switzerland is important to you.

    You can view a full list of direct bank feeds available in your region here. As some of you have noted, if your bank does not currently have a feed available, the best option for now is to manually import your bank statements into Xero. This will help you keep your accounts up-to-date. You can find instructions on how to do this in our Xero Central article here: Import a bank statement.

    Another way you can help is by letting your specific banks know that you’d like to see them integrate with Xero. We've found that banks are more likely to prioritise building a feed when they hear directly from their own customers. They can get in touch with our team to start the process here: Register your

  5. It would be great to have the ability to mark a bill as already paid when being entered.

    We use the bills email address for employees with company credit cards to submit receipts/invoices for purchases however, when these go into bills and before they can be reconciled, they get mixed up with bills actually needing to be paid. This is also the case for invoices we receive that are then direct debited, before the amount is deducted from our accounts, it's easy for these to be confused for bills that need to be batched and paid.   6. Every now and again we have an issue in a client account with someone's User Role being altered without notification.
    I can't figure out if the client is in there making changes without really knowing what they are doing, or if Xero is having a weird glitch.
    (the latter seems unlikely)
    It would be nice if we could pin point who was doing it so we could explain the hassle they are creating!

In Projects, when we add tasks to the project (pulled from Products and Services) and then Create Quote, the Product or Service name is what imports into the description line in the Quote and not the description from that Product or Service, as it does when creating a quote outside of Projects. Having this consistency makes sense (and is strange that it is not already the default) but it makes creating a quote from projects cumbersome, as the description needs to be added manually.

  8. Ability to enter total amount of Purchase Order and number of units, then the unit price will be automatically calculated. Have quotes given by suppliers that are a fixed amount that cannot be changed, and because of the Unit number the total has to round up, it doesn’t give the same total.

  10. Xero Projects - Needs Total Estimated Hours & Total Actual Hours (for Tasks) at top of Project. We quote projects based on hours and $ for each task. We would like to be able to easily see 'total hours' at the top of the screen for the project, and then total hours used, so we can see how many hours we have left to go on the Project (helps us to keep worked hours in check).     Hi Mona, just to confirm what you're asking. Are you after a role that has both access to enter their timesheets and approve other employees timesheets without viewing other payroll information? Or simply ability to access and input timesheets? 

  12. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.

  13. I have a client moving to a different platform for accounting but still needed a stand alone payroll platform for 23 employees and Xero does not offer this so we would be paying for all the other functionality that we won't be using to stay on Xero for payroll

    Hi everyone, though we appreciate the feedback we've received from you on plans here - as you'll have had communication of, with the launch of our new plans we made the decision to no longer offer a Payroll Only plan.

    Payroll is now offered within our Grow, Comprehensive and Ultimate plans that you can read more detail of what's encompassed with each on our website.

  14. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

  15. Why can't we search quotes by title? It would be so useful and its so overlooked by the design team. I have loads of jobs for one client and I have to sift until I find it rather than search my the job name. Please Zero!

  16. I am a relatively new user to Xero but have over 35 years MYOB experience as an Accountant. While I enjoy many of the Xero features there is a fundamental one that is missing and frustrates me endlessly. In MYOB under contacts there is a history tab where you can easily see spend history by month for several years for customers and suppliers. This is such a simple but powerful screen that is completely missing in Xero. Running reports is slow and un-necessary.

  17. To be able to search the Tracking Categories on the set up page. Also to have a duplicate warning would be very helpful.

    This search function would stop a Tracking number/ name, being entered twice. The list for us is very long!

    Much easier to navigate via Accounting dropdown menu than via Bank Accounts, eg when recoding transactions usually need to update a rule as well

  19. Could the VAT transactions report in the VAT return include the invoice number as well as or instead of the reference?

    This would make the review to see if there are any missing invoice numbers much simpler. Our invoices are created in another software package by a number of people who sometimes include text as well as the invoice number and it makes sorting by numerical order time consuming. Having the invoice number as a field would make it very easy to sort in numerical order and identify missing numbers.

  20. We create contractor bills within Xero as a way to view and track upcoming bills, but we pay them through Gusto. When we make the Gusto payment, Gusto generates its own bill in Xero, leading to duplication.

    As a current workaround, we delete the Xero bill once Gusto posts the payment transaction in Xero. At that time, we also attach PDFs of the invoices from the contractors to the Gusto bills.

    Can you provide a way to prevent these duplicate bills?
