  1. Enable the Payable Invoice Detail report to total the invoices for each contact. At present the report totals the GST component of each contact's invoices, which I find not at all useful. It would be possible to export the report to Excel, and calculate the totals in that format, but this would be time-consuming.

    I use the payable invoice detail report to get approvals for payment. It would be useful for the person doing the approving to see how much each contact's invoices add up to.

    Hi team, returning to the idea here I wanted to check if this is still an issue? With the Payable Invoice Details report you'll find you can 'Group by' Contact and there are options to include Balance, Gross Tax and Net columns within the report so you can get a full break down and totals for each. 

  2. Send Statements, Outstanding, Select Date.

    We want to send statements to our clients for invoices that are 30 days overdue - so if I put in the 28th February 2022, Xero brings up a list of all overdue invoices as at that date however some of those invoices have been paid so if I send out the 'Activity Statement' its not a true record of the invoices outstanding.

    I would like Xero to change this so that you can either click on each invoice you want to send out ie the ones that haven't been paid or Xero only shows…

  4. I have just spend over an hour trying to add the 'Expiry Date' to my Quote emails.

    I attempted so many ways of adding [Expiry date] as is written on the quote in Xero; however, it just wouldn't work. I found other suggestions that did not work, until FINALLY I found that you have to add this field in your email template as [Expiry].

    Now... when all of the other fields are listed in the template, exactly as they show up in Xero; why would you not have the Expiry date the same????

  5. Ability to push files that’s uploaded in Xero Files to cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Sharepoint).

    Purpose: Users can easily store/keep their files that they’ve uploaded in Xero into their own cloud storage. Especially when they have many documents that exceed the limit of Xero Files.

    Hi team, though we appreciate the use you'd find in being able to connect or send Xero Files to your cloud storage we want to be open that this isn't in our short terms plans.

    We're keen to keep getting an understanding of interest in the capability, and will share if there are any updates or progress of this, here.

  6. It would be great if Xero could send an alert if a leave request has been submitted for a payroll period that has already been processed?
    This would apply in the situation that payroll was run early and then an employee took a day off in the period that was included in the payrun.

  7. Ability to select your own landing page after login.

    Am I the only person who finds it annoying to have to navigate from the dashboard, to business, invoices, then to the awaiting payments tab every time I log in?

    I would love to able to choose which page I see when logging in.

  8. How about e-signing BAS'/ITR via the Phone App, at the moment we send out these docs from Practice Manager for esigning via another login but if it could be sent to the app, it would assist small business people who could approve and sign these docs more easily

  9. Student Loan Tax Calculation
    Xero tax sets out the calculation of Income tax and NIC very well.

    Unfortunately, the system is obscure in relation to displaying the calculation for Student Loan Tax which is important for an increasing number of young people coming into financial maturity.

    We need to provide adequate assurance both to them and the increasingly aggressing Student Loan Company to avoid penalties and unexpected bills.

    I request that Xero includes a breakdown of the calculation on the Summary computation report.

From within your contact details or Quote or Invoice - why not have the functionality to communicate to a client via WhatsApp or send the Quote or Invoice via WhatsApp. If you are in the construction industry, acknowledging that not everyone is in construction, the craftsmen you work with only gets to Mail and acceptance of quotes in the evenings. WhatsApp's they respond to easily and quickly ....

  11. The contacts screen has the financial details Bank account i.e Bank account name, BSB code e.g. 123-456, Bank account number e.g. 1234567890.

    However these are not fields on the invoice.

  13. A client needs a further option on a bill. Equipment Hire / Plant Hire can be in hours/days/weeks

    Another example is gloves - per pair or per pack

  14. Add the tax rate % on payslips.
    At the moment the tax is automatically calculated through Xero, casual employees are wanting to know exactly what % is being taxed from their pay and not just what is deducted and called tax!

  15. For clients who use the iPad app for quotes, it is important that the quote be able to be printed. This would be for Xero clients whose customers visit a place of business ("the shop") to discuss an order; the Xero client should be able to print the quote for delivery to the client.
    For one of my potential clients, this procedure applies to 95% of the quote opportunities.

    As of this writing, it is not possible to Share the quote (only email) and if converted to a draft invoice, tapping the Share option automatically converts it to Approved without…

    I would like to be able to process a Payroll Transaction Summary Listing report that shows the individual amounts per pay item for every employee for the financial year in one report. Currently, I need to select the individual employee to get this information, but this is not practical when a business has 10 or more employees as it takes too much time to select each employee individually to get this information.

    Thanks for coming back to me on this, Josh. Appreciate the added insight and I've made sure to share this back with our team.

    While it doesn't resolve the needs here right now, I wanted to share this idea that you may also like to join and stay updated in case there is any progress directly within Project reports.

    For the time being, there's no direct plans made for this on the payroll side but I'll continue to keep you updated if anything changes. Thanks

Prior to the upgrade, if you were a labour hire firm and had contractors who were not a company but used their TFN, you could select the box to allow additional tax deductions for HELP / HECS debts. With the new Phase 2 STP, Xero have confirmed that if you have labour hire using TFN's and they have a hecs debt you cannot check the box and will need to manually calculate the hecs amount to deduct each payrun.
