  1. I generate a custom report for Project Timesheets and I would like to be able to rename the columns as sometimes we use slightly different terminology or we use the tasks in a slightly different way to work around limitations.

    e.g "Resource" instead of "Staff", "Role" instead of "Task".

    For some projects we enter a week's worth of time entries at a time, so they are dated at the end of the week, so I would like to change the column to "Week ending" instead of "Date".

  2. The recently added filter functionality on bank reconciliation was not what I was hoping for. Rather than filtering bank statement lines I want to be able to filter the transactions that I’m matching to it, by date.

    When reconciling POS device daily receipts I can already filter for transactions with the right description but then I have to tick every transaction for the corresponding day. Then repeat for every day. If I could filter on date I could “select all” and match much more quickly. It’s currently extremely tedious!

  3. Increase the character limit for invoice and quote terms for the standard invoice template.
    Currently the limit is 1000 characters and that is not enough. Please please look into this! It is so important to be able to have terms in the body of the invoice and very useful to be able to use the terms section for this.

  4. I would like to be able to select the leave types in the leave balance report. As at today it gives you all leave types in the report. You cannot filter either as it only allows filtering of amount, employee group and units.

  5. It would be great to be able to open & close the sections in the VAT return.
    I might be looking for a specific line in the Expenses for example, but need to scroll though all the sales. A little toggle to drop down or close off would be great!

  6. Bank feeds are critical to a business's accounting system.
    Detail on those feeds is also critical.
    BOQ Specialist (AU) (and I'm sure other banks) provide deficient bank feeds to Xero.
    See the difference between the (unmodified) imported statement lines and the bank feed statement lines on the image.
    The bank feed statement lines only say "Online transfer" which is about as helpful as saying "transaction".
    The imported statement lines say Online transfer and then the bank narration, which is much more helpful.
    Xero Support suggested I speak to the bank - great idea, waste my time speaking to a customer…

  7. In invoice reminders you do not have the option to add the original invoice as a PDF. My customers accounting teams do NOT follow links in emails (against security policy), but can read an attachment (as long as it is PDF). I would like this added as an option on invoice reminders.

  8. Thanks for fixing Over payments in the new system - works great! - 1 adjustment - the account menu pops - UP not Down, and bank accounts are off the top of the screen need a lot of scolling, can you change to normal pop-down please? (like the Date Paid menu)

  10. Xero Central - please add the year that a case is lodged and each response. At the moment it just has day and month but no year. I have found one of mine from Nov 2022 that the last response is that I would be updated when it is resolved but the case is closed and the only reason I knew it was Nov 2022 is that the attachment I uploaded had the date of the screenshot.

  11. When you do a credit note and allocate it against an invoice, it show on the cash report
    Teh cash report should be 100% correct and not show any non-cash transactions

  12. Hi Xero Support,

    So basically, I would like to generate P&L by Tracking Category only for those categories which have activity during the month, those which have no activities (zero transaction), I would like to exclude it. So, my reports will be not too long and comprehensive.

  14. Sales Tax exempt form management in the U.S.A. Currently every year we have to manually ask and upload customers sales tax exempt certificates and update their tax status so we charge or don't charge sales tax. Would be nice to have a some sort of system where the customer is notified once a year and self uploads their tax exempt certificate which is linked to thier contact information. This would save alot of hours.

  15. We require a bridging letter to the SOC Type 2 report to cover the period 1 November 2023 to 30 June 2024 for audit purposes. When querying Support I was referred back to the generic link to download the above report. How do I obtain a bridging letter for the remaining period?

  17. Is there a way that within Xero Projects, we could have a field for "Project Number" and a seperate field for "Project Name".
    Unfortunately we have found that some duplication of project numbers can happen within Xero as the project name and project number are within the same field.

  18. Given that we are now can add employees into different tracking/groups on Xero.
    It works well when we post a pay run and it puts all transactions in Wages expenses, super expenses, PAYG W and super payable, but not Wages Payable. Seems odd that it doesn't.

  19. When assigning a bill line to a project, it would be good to also be able to select the Estimated Expense category from this same screen rather than having to manually add from within the Project. Or at least be able to bulk assign from the Projects screen.

    1. Enable partial sale of assets - allows one to dispose of assets that have been added as one transaction.

    2. Enable bulk sale of assets - allowing one to select all assets involved within a sale to be sold for one purchase price i.e. sale of a fitout of a Hairdresser, over the years they had purchased numerous items and completed numerous renovations.
