  1. When a client changes from GST registered to no longer GST registered - It would be greatly appreciated if all the rules changed to BAS Exc like it does in Chart of Accounts. Young clients shop everywhere and therefore there are hundreds of rules to edit.

  3. The ability to mark customers to exclude from sending statements, or add more filters ( including customer groups) in statements page, which will help to find correct group of clients to send statements. This will simplify collections process.

  4. When creating subcontractor bills and deducting retention, the CIS includes the retention when calculating the deduction
    For example, XERO should read:
    £250.00
    minus 3% retention (£7.50)
    £242.50
    minus CIS (£48.50)
    = £194.00

    HOWEVER, XERO calculates:
    £250.00
    minus 3% retention (£7.50)
    minus CIS (£50.00) (off the gross amount not the amount after retention deducted)
    = £200.00

    This means that CIS deduction is incorrect.

    There is no way around this currently even though similar issues have been raised since 2019 on Xero discussion threads and no solution has been made.

  7. I find it unacceptable that Xero cannot give a report with the exact debits and credits on the supplier / customer account without showing how the allocation was done. If there are 2 invoices of a 1000 and 1 payment was made of 2000 - I want to see it exactly like that on the report and not 1000 allocated to the first invoice and 1000 allocated to the second invoice. This is standard in Pastel.

  8. The new balance sheet report has introduced a column between every month which contains a flag if there is an item impacted by FX. This now means that when exporting into excel the report now has 24 columns as opposed to 12 previously and the months are not sequential. I like many others use the balance sheet in other tailored reporting and financial models so am now having to delete the blank columns in order for the report to fit into my reporting templates.   9. Currently the Sales tab in the Xero app offers no purpose at all for users of Xero VAT Cashbook subscription because they are unable to create invoices.

    I propose that Xero make sales transactions visible in "Sales" tab of Xero App for VAT Cashbook users, enabling them to use this to view income (identical to the Purchases tab) which would enable them to take and upload photos of invoices to attach to income transactions.

  10. Activity Statement - ability to filter transactions by Tracking Category to check for accurate GST codes. The ability to filter and check GST entered on transactions with Tracking Categories is especially important for NFPs and Charities.

    For some organisations, there are specific GST treatments for specific transactions and often these are tracked by the use of Tracking Categories.

  12. Both Xero and XPM really need to have the ability to override the GST calculated by 1c either way to fix the GST rounding errors that continually occur. This would be more efficient than having to add a Cost rounding adjustment in XPM of 1c to have it then import to Xero showing this rounding adjustment on a separate line which then needs to be altered before sending to the clients. Having to do this for hundreds of invoices is very inefficient.

  13. At the moment, starting a timer on the phone app will "stay local" to the app (i.e. opening XPM on the web does not show the timer running).
    It would be good if the system was aware of the fact that I am timing a task before it's completed, so if I start it on the laptop (e.g. because I am in a call and I can't easily do it on the phone) I can stop it on the phone and viceversa.

    Also, as things stand, an app crash might make me lose the timer.

  15. The same way a direct debit file is created for Creditors, it would be great if Xero could create a direct credit file for Debtors. We direct credit over 200 debtor accounts weekly. As Xero isnt able, we do it externally and use a bank template. If Xero can creatre a direct debit file, I dont see why it cant create a direct credit file. The only change is the bank ID. Our previous clunky software could do it and banks are able to upload a direct credit file.

  16. I hope xero has the functionality of e-invoicing to approve and send the multiple e-invoices in bulk.
    As this new invoicing does not allow it and make the task slower than the conventional xero way.
    I hope you'll add this suggestion on your product improvement and see xero functioning the next time around.

  17. Budgets: Allow budgets to be shared and reports drilled down into so budget holders can see their live budgets without having to pull of reports.

  19. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

    Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.

  20. On our batch payment printout auditors want someone to sign them off and say they've randomly verified bank accounts. Is there any way to customise the batch payment printout to include:
    1. Random bank accounts verified (with tick box)
    2. Signature area
    3. Name of Person Signing off
