  2. There are times I want to create several invoices within a group, but not the whole group. For example, in the Equine Lessons Group, there are contacts who take private lessons, group lessons, and/or homeschool lessons. Each contact may also be at a different skill level, therefore a different class. I would like to be able to select which contacts to invoice for Level 1 Homeschool Lesson, or for Level 3 Homeschool Lesson, or even Equine First Aid, depending on who, when , and what course is being taken.

  3. It would save numerous steps if:

    When a new account is created from within a transaction (for instance spend money or journal entry) the option to add a reporting name was available, instead of having to update later through the chart of chart of accounts.

    When creating a new account, through the chart of accounts or elsewhere, that the Report Code mapping category could be allocated at the same time.

  4. For projects- instead of showing them as unnamed expenses, can you please add the from field - so we know which supplier, vendor, or client its from. See screen shots. As an example the unnamed expense should be Paneltec

  5. When an employee has set amounts to be paid to multiple bank accounts, if there are insufficient funds to pay the amounts Xero allocates to the lowest amount not the order of the bank accounts. This means that payments like rent can be short paid. It would be good to have a flag notifying you of this and an easier way to reorganise the payments.

  6. Currently, Xero automatically assigns holiday leave to the pay period in which it falls. However, for businesses with a different pay schedule within the tax periods, (e.g., a financial period running from the 6th to the 5th of the month), such as cut off being the 28th of the previous month and paying on the 5th of the month. this can cause confusion and misalignment in holiday pay processing. Employees may receive their holiday pay in a month that doesn’t align with the leave taken, leaving them out of pocket or causing administrative burdens.

  7. Add ability to enter a reference when submitting expenses, this would make expenses easier to search for and reconcile. The reference already exists in the spend money transaction which is produced but there is no way to populate it.

  11. When using the new Check box. 'Use as billing address'. If you type in the address afterwards and edit the address. It deletes the the selected checkbox. 'use as billing address'

    Just frustrating as you have to go back in and recheck.

    Hi Candice, timestamps in your org are set by the timezone set in the organisation's financial settings. From your idea here, would you want to be setting this manually or based off another setting somewhere?

  13. I've been using your Bill.com integration for the last couple of weeks and I already had to reach out to Xero support twice to make a simple change in Bill.com settings. This requires the user (me) to open a case in Xero which subsequently has Xero support open a case in Bill.com (and then Xero support going back and forth between Bill.com and the user).

    There should be either:

    1. a settings page within Xero for all the Bill.com settings and variables or,

    2. Ability to have credentials on Bill.com to update the Bill.com settings.

  14. Income Accounts by Contact monthly Comparison
    We have a requirement to report certain income lines by contacts. I can run an Account Transactions report and summarise by Contact, but there is no “Compare with” availability.
    The Income & Expenses by Contact report is available but only reports total Income and or Expenses. It allows for monthly comparison, but there is no availability to select specific Account Codes.
    Are you aware of any reports that may be customised to fulfil our requirement or could you develop such a report?
    Ideally, we’d like to reports by contact with the contact account number…

  16. Hello,

    I am preparing a set of accounts which includes investment property which requires fair value adjustments to account for the change in value. When I have dealt with this in previous accounting software there have been codes in the chart of accounts for a separate revaluation reserve account where the change in value is posted to as well as in the investment property value code and change in value on the P&L.

    So on the statement of change in equity it shows the profit and loss reserve and a revaluation reserve.

    According to Xero Support, Xero doesn't have any…

  17. After the customer accepts the quote, we need to book the work in. It doesn't get invoiced until the work is complete. It would be helpful if we could add an "Expected Start Date" to quotes after they've been accepted, or at least be able to mark it as "Booked".

  18. Adviser year-end account templates - it would be great if when allocating account codes to categories in the P&L/BS, they also updated in automatically in the cash flow statements and the notes 1-4.

    This would both save time and also remove the chance of human error - there is always the possibility of accidentally allocating differently.
