  1. When importing bank statements, it would be very useful if we could select (already in the csv perhaps) whether the payment is to be a Direct Payment, or rather a Prepayment.

    We receive almost exclusively prepayments, and I find that when I import the statement, that I cannot select that the income lines should be treated as Prepayment.

  4. Ability to obtain a report on the actual costings on each timesheet category. Currently only able to report on the hours paid. Would be helpful to find out costing on each category. Presently have to manually calculate by multiplying hourly rate charge and hours (plus super).

  6. Within the find and recode facility I would like the ability to change the amount posted. This can be particularly useful for repeating journals. For example, there could be a monthly release of a rent prepayment, where a rent review has been backdated several months and therefore the charge released needs adjusting historically. As it stands currently, each individual posting needs editing, rather than (say) being able to change 9 month's postings in one entry.

  9. Make creating leave requests functional when using keyboard entry.

    Currently, when I want to create a leave request, I:
    - go to the top menu, tab across to Payroll and select (4 keystrokes),
    - arrow down to Leave and select (4 keystrokes),
    - tab through to New Request and select (15 keystrokes),
    and then no matter how much I try I cannot get to select either Leave or Cash Out Leave without using the mouse.

    Then, once I have used the mouse to get the new leave request pop-up, I have to:
    - tab to the employee field (3 keystrokes)…

  10. When setting up a contact, it would be useful to be able to add a new tracking category directly in the contacts screen. If I forget to add a new tracking category to my existing list first and go to add a new contact then the tracking category isn't there. I then need to change menus in order to set up the tracking category and then go back and edit my contact to include it. I think it would be a good feature.

  11. Please explore the possibility of generating a report that efficiently and clearly captures Recurring Payments made to any contact or supplier with either monthly or yearly frequency?

    Currently, this is not achievable without significant manual effort to extract data from various reports in Xero. While I’m aware that the "Repeating Bill Payment" feature setup can also aid with producing a report of this nature, most clients do not use this setup, and the information isn't sufficient.

  12. When I was paying just GST, I could file my tax return directly to the IRD from XERO. I am now paying GAP (GST and Provisional Tax) and no longer get the option to file my GST return directly from XERO - I can only file it manually, which is obviously much more time consuming. XERO, can you please make changes to your setup so that GAP payments can be filed with the NZ IRD straight from XERO. Thank you.

  13. When adding bills in the app, I find myself searching for the same category over and over. On the desktop, a likely or previous category comes up automatically. That would be great in the app, too.

    Failing that, it would be good if the list of categories contained frequently used categories first. I doubt anyone scrolls alphabetically, so it seems a useless feature to have.

  14. When searching for specific bank transactions(s) using the filter option, when found, it would be good to be able to export your findings directly from your screen. This would prove to be a very efficient way of exporting specific data quickly.

  15. We need a way to pin published reports to the dashboard for easy access by users. Perhaps add a "Published Reports" widget on the dashboard and allow an admin/manager to pin published reports to the widget. This will save lots of clicks and confusion from clients trying to find the reports they need.

  16. It would be VERY helpful to be able to schedule a report to run and "publish" automatically on a set date/time or interval (e.g. daily at 5PM, or every Tuesday at 8AM). In trying to migrate customers from QBO this has been a major product gap in Xero.

  17. Given the fact that the UK government tax bands are known, it should be (relatively) simple to estimate tax owed to date. I realise that there will be factors that mean this isn't 100% accurate and, according to competitors who already do this (rhymes with flick looks), it works best for sole traders. Surely knowing how much tax you owe is a basic requirement to running a successful company???

  19. As a Finance Manager of multiple entities and xero files it would be good to have something like Xero HQ for practice for Finance managers and the multiple entities that look after so I can see each day the business snapshot of where we are at AP, AR Cashflow and NP
