  1. For invoices received, allow settings to open the invoice for processing, especially for repeat bills. Invoices received from e.g. Municipalities uses the account number as pwd to open their invoice. Settings for this would be useful for automation of invoices received

  2. I'd like to be able to move expenses from one project to another without having to delete the expense under one project and manually enter it again into a different project number. It would be much easier and so much more efficient to be able to do the same as assigning a bill to a job number and if that job number turns out to be incorrect, it's simply a case of re-assigning the project number to it rather than having to delete and re-enter the whole thing again. Very frustrating and time consuming!

    Hi Gemma, while appreciate your idea and how you'd like to synchronize data between Saturation.io and Xero as we have an open API we generally don't build integrations with other applications ourselves.

    We have our Xero developer centre where interested parties can get information on integrating with Xero. Welcome to share this with Saturation.io to see if it's something they'd look to develop themselves.

  4. Hi,
    My business often delivers the same or similar services to repeat customers. It would be useful if Xero could default the contact address based on GPS Location, and then even propose default invoice items and pricing to make the invoicing process easier. This reduces the risk of invoicing mistakes and adds efficiency into the process for invoice creation. Also helps with contact payment process improvement.

    Hey Nathan, thanks for sharing this idea. Using GPS to automatically fill in a contact’s address would save you time and make invoicing on the go much smoother.

    It’s a smart way to reduce manual entry and help keep addresses accurate.

    This feature is now in Gaining Support. If you think it’d be useful, please add your vote or comment. Hearing from all of you helps our product team understand what matters most.

  5. Quality of Life suggestion:

    At present, typing in a report name into the "Find a Report" search-box will only give you a return if you're in the correct tab (eg. searching from the 'Home' tab will not return any 'Custom' or 'Drafts' reports).

    I suggest that reports from other tabs be included, at least when searching from the 'Home' tab, with an icon/heading to distinguish the tab-origin of the report.

    (I appreciate 'Published' and 'Archived' returns could run into the hundreds, so perhaps a toggle/filter would suffice to omit/include those returns as desired)

    Hi Jonathan, thanks for this fantastic 'quality of life' suggestion. We really appreciate you taking the time to detail not just the idea, but also how it could work in practice.

    We've reviewed your proposal to enhance the "Find a Report" search box so it returns results from all tabs – like 'Custom' and 'Drafts' – not just the one you're currently viewing. We can see how this would make finding the right report much faster.

    Your idea is now open for other members of the community to support and add their thoughts to. Along with votes, others can now comment on how a global search for reports, perhaps with the filters you suggested, would improve their own day-to-day workflow.

  6. when searching for an invoice number in find and match while doing reconciliation, it would be useful not to have to hit enter every time, especially as i can only search one invoice at a time. it all adds up to excess clicks when doing large batch reconciliations

  7. There is currently a way one sync from Jobber to Xero. It would be great if a sync from Xero to Jobber can be implemented to records payments in Jobber as soon as a transaction is reconciled in Xero. Similar to what is being one with Thryv and other integrations. This will save me about 1 hour of effort everyday and about 5 hours monthly when the bulk payments come in. I have tried to implement this myself however Jobber API support states they will only allow this if a partner works with them like Quickbooks and Stripe.

    Hi Jaco, I want to be open that we don't typically design and build integrations with other apps ourselves. We have a Xero Developer ecosystem where interested parties can come to get information on how to integrate and sync data from Xero with their application. If not already, I'd suggest letting Jobber support team know this is something you'd like to see and if they'd consider expanding their integration for.

  8. When adding a bank fee adjustment during the details entry of a reconciliation, it'd save a click to automatically place the cursor focus on the contact field. This already happens when we click to add details to a reconciliation, so it makes sense for the same behavior to occur when we click to add a bank fee adjustment. One click...hundreds of times...lots of efficiency!

    Big thanks to Matthew for kicking things on this! The idea is to have the cursor default to the contact field when adding a bank fee during reconciliation. It’s a small change, but when you’re working through heaps of transactions, it can save a lot of time.

  9. In February this year, all suplier invoices that were supposed to be marked 30 days, got moved to due in March and not end Feb due to the 28 days, This needs to be changed as an exception as there will never be 30 days in Feb.

  10. When adding second line items in super. If (I did this so I know it is easy) you add a second SGC line for a fixed amount as well as a statutory amount it would be great if xero asked a warning question 'are you sure you want to add a second SGC contribution. OR if just isn't allowed. My understanding is a employer additional contribution would be the correct line item if employer and salary sacrificing if employee (pre or post tax). This will avoid an accidental overpayment of SGC.

  12. Add a warning feature to Xero, when a employee has (or will have) reached 75 years of age and is no longer allowed to salary sacrifice into their superannuation.

  13. For the payroll drop tap it would be good if we could have notification numbers next to say leave request and timesheets. Like the notifications of expenses.
    This helps to keep track on all leave submissions and what's approved.

  14. In Invoice preview for a non- taxable line item there is a tax rate on the line item. At the bottom where tax is calculated the total tax is correct (it does not include tax on the non-taxable item). It is confusing for a client looking at the invoice, they may think they are being taxed on the non-taxable item. Can invoice preview show 0% tax on the non-taxable item and the correct tax % on the taxable item.

    I’ve noticed that Xero currently doesn’t support applying mixed tax brackets within the same pay run for Working Holiday Makers (WHM). For example, if an employee is set to receive $2,000 in one pay cycle, and the $45,000 threshold is reached after the first $1,000, the first $1,000 should be taxed at 15%, and the remaining $1,000 at 30% — both within the same pay cycle, using mixed tax brackets.

    At the moment, Xero applies one tax bracket to the entire pay cycle. However, according to the ATO guidelines, doing so results in undercharging the employee, which…

  17. Currently when you dispose of an asset from Fixed Assets, there is a fixed journal in place where you can't change the codes.
    I would suggest that these can be customisable.
    Yes, it can be corrected with a manual journal but it would be more efficient if we could adjust the nominal codes.

  18. It would be nice to click into the bills that were paid via the new Xero Bill.com embed and see the ETA. This hits on the emails but if there's an update or delay, there's no way to see the updated ETA. Also, it would just be very convenient. Thanks.

  19. Hi Xero, please could you consider adding the option of including job numbers in the PayPal bank feed uploads. I am aware the data in the statement lines imported into Xero on the feed, is provided directly by Paypal themselves. But it would be very useful when looking at costs per job as we use PayPal to pay many providers globally in a day and PayPal is the best option for them an us, the job number would link the invoices to a job.

    Hi Tayla. Thanks for sharing your idea for alternative methods to approve auto super batch payments.

    We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it.

    In the meantime, both the current auto super approver and also the subscriber can change the auto super approver details, so if there is another user who could approve superannuation batches, this maybe a workaround if the current super approver is unable to.
