  3. Sometimes small buisnees is exactly that - a small business without the need for a robust accounting software, but with the requirement for annual online tax filing ability. Effective 2024 all Canadian corporations, with very few execptions, are required to file their corporate tax online.

My understanding is Xero offers this option to UK Accountants & Partners only - not to small businesses.

I suggest this option be made available to the small business that make up most of the country's enterprises. The Canadian government has decreed the online filing method is required from 2024. There are many accounitng programs,…

  4. ABILITY TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE ITEM PRICE ON A SPECIFIC DATE

Obviously item prices vary and when we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.
I would like the ability to be able to go into a line item and be able to change the price of the item on a specific date, so that it when that date comes the item price has automatically…

    Hi Kirstie

Thanks for sharing this idea about setting future prices for inventory items.

It's now up to the community to get behind and support your idea. Other members can now add their votes and comments about how this could also benefit them.

In the meantime, you'd need to edit the price at the relevant date, either manually or by exporting and importing your items if you need to update lots of prices at the same time.

  5. Allow submission of PDF expenses. We frequently see invoices paid on expenses in small businesses that come in by email as PDFs but need to be printed and photographed to upload the expense.

  6. When sending remittances from batch payments, all suppliers are automatically ticked whether they have an email address or not, but you cannot send any remittances to any suppliers if even one of the ticked ones is missing an email. This is a laborious process to go and untick the suppliers with no email addresses in order to send the rest.

It would be great if suppliers with no email address listed are either:
    1) already unticked, so you have to tick it to add an email and send the remittance to that supplier, but the suppliers with emails will work…

Thanks for sharing your idea in the forums here, Natascha. Can see how if you have a big batch this could save you time from having to scroll through and uncheck the suppliers that don't have an email.

While this isn't something we have immediate plans of we'll continue to get a sense of the interest from your idea here.

We have a big focus on enhancing and expanding our billing payment solutions across Xero and regions so we'll let you know if there are any plans that'd help in your idea here.

Thank you for raising this idea about the ability to amend CIS returns before submitting them. As per HMRC requirements, the CIS deduction is an event that is legally tied to the cash transaction of a payment being made. Because of this, the final return is based on these completed cash transactions, and any changes must be made through HMRC's official amendment process. Therefore, the ability to edit the return before submission is outside of Xero's control as we must adhere to the strict requirements set by HMRC for the CIS scheme. While we understand this isn't the answer you were hoping for, we want to be transparent about why this is not something we can build. We will continue to explore any potential solutions that may align with HMRC's future requirements, but for now, we must follow their strict compliance rules ✨

  9. Though I am grateful and happy that the "New Invoice - Cursor Default Position" was resolved, thank you, it is now affecting the amount of time it takes for the draft to autosave after entering/selecting the contact. The amount of time it takes for the draft to autosave is significantly longer now than it was before the cursor position was fixed. The draft is still "saving" even after I have entered the rest of the information into the date, invoice number, and reference fields. And yes, I have let it complete saving before moving on to any other fields, it…

Thanks for sharing, Angela. With the way autosave works, you should be able to just keep drafting your invoice and it will save in the background. So you don't need to wait.

If you're noticing a significant lag in the invoice saving, this is best investigated by our team of specialists. I'd recommend raising a case with our Xero Support team on Xero Central who can take a closer look into this with you 1-on-1 🙂.

  10. There are times I want to create several invoices within a group, but not the whole group. For example, in the Equine Lessons Group, there are contacts who take private lessons, group lessons, and/or homeschool lessons. Each contact may also be at a different skill level, therefore a different class. I would like to be able to select which contacts to invoice for Level 1 Homeschool Lesson, or for Level 3 Homeschool Lesson, or even Equine First Aid, depending on who, when , and what course is being taken.

  11. On the Employee Contact Details report it would be great to have a column to show the termination date and reason for termination. Being able to sort by termination date range eg last quarter would be beneficial to assist with preparing the long service leave reports. The termination date and reason needs to be included in the report. Having a summary of the information from Xero would be beneficial for all.

  12. I’ve integrated Pabbly Connect with Xero to automatically create invoices. The workflow in Pabbly shows a successful execution, but not all invoices are actually being created in Xero.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Is there a way to debug what might be going wrong between the successful webhook execution and invoice creation in Xero?

    Additional Details:

The webhook receives all required data including customer, line items, and invoice date.

Pabbly workflow shows "Success" status after sending data to Xero.

However, when I check Xero, some invoices are missing entirely.

No error message is shown in Pabbly.

    This happens only…

  15. It would be nice to have a reminders function for Suppliers just like with Customers.

We work with a very long list of Suppliers in some of our clients' companies. It could be a nice feature to have scheduled reminders go out to some suppliers that you always have to chase down for invoices/statements.

Good to understand the needs of our different customers an that some times you may need to chase a supplier for an invoice, Lezelle.

This isn't something we have plans for atm, but we'll get a sense of the interest from community through your idea here.

  16. Make archiving and restoring contacts more intuitive and user-friendly.

Option for archiving contacts should be select from drop-down menu or click on "the 3 dots" and select.

Having to find an historical invoice allocated to an archived contact in order to restore them is super-unhelpful and counterintuitive. MUCH better to include archived contacts in Contacts options and include a "Restore" option via "press and hold", drop-down or the 3 dots.

Hi Bradley, have you tried archiving and restoring contacts from the Contacts list? From here simply select the contact/s you'd like to archive and you'll see the option at the top of the list turn blue for you to click.

When you'd like to restore a contact you'll find the Archive tab as an option from this same screen, where you can click on the contact to open it's record and there is a blue Restore option in the top right.

  17. Currently when selecting invoices to include in a batch deposit you can only select what's on the current screen, when you click to the next screen you lose the selections you made on the previous screen. I have thousands of invoices awaiting payment, even with the max display amount of 200, it's 30+ screens to scroll through. I have to create multiple batch deposits in order to capture everything that's being taken to the bank that day. Please add a search field that will save and allow multiple invoices to be included in batch deposits.

  18. Fix Tabbing issue when creating reconcile period. When creating a reconcile period I enter the first date of a Statement Date Range, hit tab and instead of going to the last date of the Statement Date Range where it should go, it weirdly tabs to the opening statement balance, forcing me to go back and click on the ending date box.

Thanks for your post here , Brenda.

Appreciate some customers prefer to use the keyboard to enter data. I've checked this in with our product team and can confirm, currently if you're entering a date via the keyboard and then press Tab, the cursor will move to the opening balances field.

Appreciate it's not the solution you're asking here, however atm you can press the return key to select the date from the date picker, which will automatically move the cursor to the end of the date field.

We're keeping a watchful eye on the interest of the idea to understand the interest in this.

  19. Currently in XERO if you use more than one Ordinary Time Earnings Pay Item per employee the Annual Salary Calculation on the Payslip is incorrect. Using more than one is useful as there are some employees I like to apportion to 2 x areas. Example: It might be 1 day a week on Admin 4 days on Production. Whilst we can do this currently in XERO, as noted above the Annual Salary is incorrect. So - either - separate the Salary field from the Pay Item or change (fix) the way XERO calculates the Annual Salary. Note I am aware…

    For example:
