    Hi Paul, can you share a bit of detail of why you'd find it useful to filter only particular sections of the report, and perhaps an example of the way you see yourself being able to use this sort of function in the report? 

    We don't have any plans at this stage for multi-tiered filtering but it'd be good to better understand your needs behind it? 

  2. Add a few more fields for employees such as Date of Birth, start date, Position, Next of Kin, and the ability to have more than one bank account per employee. These are nice HR fields which make a simple payroll system just a little bit better.

At the moment on the old P&L and Balance Sheet reports if you change the company on another tab and have the P&L and B/S open in another tab if you press F5 on your keyboard it will update to the new company you have changed to. This feature is not available on the new P&L & B/S which will be the only source from July. I really need this F5 function on the new reports as I have 20 ledgers to run and if I have to keep re-running the P&L & B/S at month end it will significantly…

  5. Have a tick option to remember old comment OR not remember for the bank rec.  Otherwise people are just going to ignore and use the same comment every time they reconcile a similar transaction, even if it's not valid.  Nice to apply this just to comments vs forgetting coding.

  7. one of the ATO requirement is to submit the Expense from other companies with ABN into it. if you can implement by adding ABN to the report, it will be really helpful for us.

  8. But it would be amazing if you could set the FX rate for each transaction on the purchase upload spreadsheet.

    Where you do not add an FX Rate it would default to the daily rate.

    I have to set hundreds of FX rates for each transaction individually, so it would save me so much time.

  9. Report fields and functionality of old report pack.

    We are sad to see the old report packs being discontinued. We use these to complete all our company and trust resolutions as they are able to pull through shareholder salary fields as well as net profit before tax and net profit after tax. Whilst we can type these in manually, they can be prone to human error and is more time consuming. Please update the new reports so that this functionality is maintained or keep the ability to keep cusomised reports active. I don't mind if you discontinue all the other…

  10. We create contractor bills within Xero as a way to view and track upcoming bills, but we pay them through Gusto. When we make the Gusto payment, Gusto generates its own bill in Xero, leading to duplication.

    As a current workaround, we delete the Xero bill once Gusto posts the payment transaction in Xero. At that time, we also attach PDFs of the invoices from the contractors to the Gusto bills.

    Can you provide a way to prevent these duplicate bills?

  11. Profit & Loss report: Show account names on 1 line.

    The new report has account names over 2 lines, so makes the report extra long, and not very easy to view on the screen. Analysis becomes less efficient.
    Prefer the old version report "look". We were able to see the business at a glance on fewer pages!

    Also, the extraction to excel now has merged cells. Have to unmerge and manipulate before using the report. Again less efficient.

  14. Invoice in Projects - ability to combine time entries of employees to show total hours per employee

    At the moment when you create an invoice in Projects, all the individual time entries are shown which can be 2-3 pages long. It would be great to have an option to combine all time entries per employee over a selected period so that the invoice doesn't have to be 2-3 pages long showing time entries done by each employee when all we need is one line item per each employee.

    Does this need to be on an employee basis, Jay? 

    At present, you can either create an invoice based on the Task or based on Time entries. 

    To confirm at present you can summarise the time entries by selecting to invoice as a Task - but appreciate this doesn't allow the individual lines for a employee breakdown 

  15. The VAT reconciliation report is still listed in the menu of reports, however there should be a comment somewhere in the report that says that it doesn't integrate with VAT returns filed under MTD.
    This will avoid staff who are unaware of this, trying to make sense of it.
    Maybe just completely remove it.

  18. We are a meadery that often sells mead in kegs. This idea would also apply to breweries.

    I use a "Keg" inventory item to track the physical keg shells. I use a separate item for the product inside the keg. So an invoice for one keg will show two items: the mead itself and the keg. This helps me keep track of our physical kegs on hand, weather they are full or empty.

    When a client returns a keg, they receive a credit note for returning the keg. In addition to getting their deposit back, this keeps my inventory correct.

  19. I have successfully managed to create a custom report.

    I now want to add on rows which give me the opening and closing balance each month to get a 12 month cashflow. Is there a way I can do this from the statement of cash flows (using the cash and cash equivalents at beginning and end of period)

    When I try to add rows to my custom report it doesn't seem to offer to add, but only to group item is this something that could be considered.

  20. Allow discounts to be +, so we can add £% to an item where we are adding commission for example. Currently I have to manual amend each line. Unless I am missing a trick and there is another way?
