  1. Subtotals for Balance Sheet Items
    At the moment I can only get subtotals on the balance sheet by using the grouping function. Rather than doing this it would be great to subtotal certain parts of the Balance Sheet without creating multiple group headings. eg Fixed Asset accounts & the accumulated depreciation for each asset.

  3. Add a function to allocate transactions in an account against each other so you can easily identify which transactions are making up the balance (e.g. in a PAYE you would allocate the payment to HMRC against the payroll journal).

  4. One of the most irritating features when using the Aged Receivables Detail report for Credit Control purposes (downloading to Excel and pasting into an email) is that when selecting the Date Range under Aging periods and the Invoice Date under Aging By, it continuously defaults back to the first option.

    Kindly allow the setting of a default to prevent the system from continuously defaulting back to the system setting.

  5. I use the History/Notes section to keep track when I'm doing credit control- when I've chased the customer etc, and I now have to copy and paste the email I've sent to them-however, I will often need to send a long communication email which ends up being more than 2500 characters, which means I then have to copy and paste half the email and then the other half, so that they run together-it would be a lot easier if the notes section was able to take more than 2500 characters.

  6. can you please add columns for customer account number and VAT number to invoice export data sheet? this should be a simple add as so much of the customer data already is there. it makes business analysis much better. it is far too cumbersome to track customer profitability otherwise.

  7. Please provide better organization tools to published reports archive such as being able to sort published reports by report end date (cut-off date)!

    Sometimes we have to go back and reperform a client's bank reconciliation because they don't always know what they are doing, or new transactions cleared in the subsequent period affect previously published report. It doesn't take long to see the published reports archive get disorganized and hard to find a published report.

  8. Report similar to Approved_sentand_paid which shows receipts (Payments & credit) for a specified week and not including previous part payments in the Payment and credits collum. The report should match our banking / receipts for that specific week including part payments.

  10. Rather than the very small, blue writing to preview a current GST period, can this please be bigger and a button.
    A lot of clients do not know this feature is in the GST Return area as its too small to find easily and previewing the current return is useful for businesses to know what their current result is looking like, especially if they are using this feature for cashflow/GST saving.

  12. I found the reconciliation options too complicated for my use case. I didn't understand or need the codes and found my best efforts left the balances showing the wrong amounts. Really all I would need is a distinction between "Money in" and "Money out", and custom tagging so I could track my own categories rather than try to make sense of a technical coding system.

  13. When importing bank statements on the import screen, it would be great to have the account balance shown on the screen.

    Yes it shows the latest transaction imported but some statements will have transactions for the same day shown after this transaction that may or may not have already been imported - you would have to go back to the bank statement screen to confirm the balance. Having the bank balance on the import screen would be a nice QoL adjustment.

  14. Add a feature where you can capture bulk supplier invoices.
    You can select your supplier from a dropdown, type the invoice number, type the description, select to add a file, select account detail (sales account) and type in your amount.
    This will save much more time vs opening the supplier account, add new bill, etc, etc, or copying a recent bill and just typing over it ... it's tedious and time consuming the way it is set up now.

    Hi Louleen, rounding back to your idea here. From what you describe it sounds like majority of the contents of the bills are the same? If so perhaps a repeat bill template could be an option. If you set this to create a Draft bill you could then just review and make any adjustments.

    Also if you already have existing bills that need entering you can back date a repeat bill template and dependent on the cycle you set e.g 'repeats every x days' you could spin up multiple bills from one template at once.

  15. Changing MFA devices for Xero Verify brings over your accounts but on the Xero Identity Account page, when you attempt to change the device it makes you re-set up the account / code in Xero Verify. Would love to just have a 'change linked device' with a drop down of devices that have Verify attached to the account.

  16. When I am emailed a bill from a vendor who also uses Xero, I click the link and open that bill in a browser. Usually, I am already logged in to Xero in another tab in the same browser. Usually, there will be multiple bills to open this way.

    For every single bill, I have to click to log in to Xero to save it as a draft in one of the organisations I have access to. It's a small thing, but I'd like to not have to do that if I'm already logged in to Xero in another tab,…

  17. Add the ability to open an account transaction report by clicking on the number in a total line of the balance sheet or P&L. The linked account transaction report would contain the account transactions for all accounts that were being totaled.

  18. Xero can you please add a Remaining To Allocate line on the bills screen. Most of my bills are split between jobs so a remaining balance to allocate would save so much time having to manually calculate entries. See example attached. Especially when working on the go so a calculator is not required.

  20. Our bank has changed from export of bank statements from OFX to CFONB (see below the new French standard) which is not yet supported by Xero! This has a huge impact on our workflow and time spent on getting our many bank transactions in the system. Can anyone help and vote for this to be upgraded as a format for bank transaction import..
