  1. We have 60+ clients who pay through direct debit which credits the bank account as a single amount. This has to be reconciled as over 400 individual transactions in Xero. We would like to be able to expand the page to view all 50 plus lines. More importantly there should be a "save" option while matching to enable any adjustments and allocations to be made without losing all the previous matches.

  3. When you create a new transaction you have 2 fields which identify the nature of the transaction - "Description" and "Details".

    I find myself constantly copying one to the other. It would be really useful if Xero could auto-copy description across to details, and if you don't want it the same you can overtype the details.

    Having content in both fields helps identify the item, and usually the same content will do.

  4. It would be good to have a feature in Xero invoicing wherein we can set up the end-user as contact then assign the relevant Distibutor/partner as the bill to entity. Then in the AR Aging report, both end-user and billed entity (i.e.Distributor/Partner) should be shown.

    Hi Corazon, to check in on your idea - would this be much like the ability to assign a billable expense within a bill or expense item at present? 

    Appreciate there's not much reporting on billable expenses in Xero atm, and we likely have an idea I can merge yours in with. Wanted to see if this is the feature you're interested in here first though. Thanks  

  5. Ability for reimbursements and allowances to be submitted by staff and approved by managers similar to the way that leave is submitted and approved.

  6. Need to allow bank rules to gross up. I want to apply a bank rule to say the net received is net a 2.2% fee. I want to be able to compare different fees I am charged via websites, Stripe, Square Reader, Paypal etc.

    You have to enter bank rule for each amount you charge. You only allow a rule to be split to 100%, it should be able to gross up. As such net received $97.80 is $100 (Sales) and 2.2% or $2.20 of gross sales (fee exepnse).

    Thanks sharing with us here, Haider. Not something that we have plans for extending the integration for at present, but we'll start tracking the support in this here and let you know if there's any plans for change. 

  10. I am wanting to configure the view of a timesheet in Xero. I would like to be able to view the full earnings rate when processing timesheets. We are currently in our peak season and have a huge amount of timesheets which we export from a different system into Xero. At present as a double check I am having to physically click on the earnings rate to view the entire name as it doesn't display. We added Time Sheet tracking to the timesheets which is causing the view of the pay item to be smaller but if we could make…

  12. As you can see in the attached pictures, the "New bill - screenshot 1" shows the information to key in when we want to create the bill. As we have many expenses in different foreign currencies, we need to add the currency unit to the bill. We have to open "Optional details" to add, as in the picture "New bill - adding currency".

  13. When changing VAT from Accruals to Cash or Visa Versa there is now warning or link to article on tasks to be performed. It is too easy to just change and the user is not warned of consequences or actions to take. Further the Audit Log does not publish this in history thus you have to contact support to find out whom did it.

    • Dedicated email address to submit supplier quotes to Xero (like the email used for bills)
    • Once in Xero can create the estimate, add mark up etc and assign to a particular project

    This would be a huge time saving feature for me to be able to quickly add supplier quotes for a variety of different projects on the go at once and a faster creation time for a quote. At the moment this is a laboriously time consuming process.

  15. To have a report for NET Sales for a month. Currently there is a report that only shows what's payable with VAT (not all sales are vatable) so, when trying to reconcile with the in-house ordering program it becomes a whole big xcel spreadsheet exercise...... takes to much time. the report also includes Prepayments which are not goods sold, but money transactions in advance

  16. We have a few Singapore entities on Xero. They are all registered under one Group GST registration. It would be good to have a function to consolidate GST reporting under the same GST registration number as they are related subsidiaries.

  17. Once a timesheet has been approved, I think it should show on the dashboard under bills to pay. We have varying numbers of contractors each week (sometimes many, sometimes only 1 contractor) which makes it difficult to know at a glance how much we owe for their wages each week.

    Appreciate not possible from the Topics list in Xero central atm, however just in case you hadn't seen you can use the search bar, select 'Discussions' to filter the content and you'll have sort options of Relevancy, Newest & Oldest. We'll keep an eye on the appetite, and I'll share any plan of change to the navigation with you here.

    Hi Hermione, 2 distinct ideas in the one here - I've adjusted the title of your idea to reflect your first and welcome you to start another for each other idea you have. 

    Currently there is the option to apply discounts at a customer or inventory item level. Once set this discount will be applied each time they're used in your sales invoices - This might help streamline your discounts when working in Xero. 

    Keeping each thread to one idea means others in community clearly understand what they're supporting as well as when sharing the support back with our teams here at Xero.
