  3. Direct Payments - Change of status - Scheduled to Paid

    Currently within 'Manage direct payments' the Status doesn't change on future dated payments once they've been paid. ie. Once a scheduled payment is made change the status to PAID.

  4. BETTER WORKFLOW FOR QUOTES/DELIVERIES/INVOICING:
    If we could get the actual flow for how the paperwork per Job can be produced!

    1.I always start with a QUOTATION: this doesn't always need to be sent to a customer at all as it could be raised by way of a telephone conversation, etc,et. This is logged as a Job manually in a Workbook.

  5. VAT201 Report - PDF link to scanned tax invoices. It will be great to have a PDF link to scanned invoices attached to bills and invoices in the transaction by field number report. It will be easier and save time to download and save from this screen, instead of opening the actual bill or invoice in order to download attached documents for upload on SARS efiling for VAT verification/audit.

  6. We have several earnings rates Eg. Normal Time, Saturday, Sunday, etc and for each earnings type, there are several rates. We have these set up in Xero and they display in Alphabetical order under 'Pay Items'.

    However, when staff are completing their timesheets in Xero Me, all of the earnings rates are out of order (in fact they are in no particular order!) which makes it very hard for employees to complete their timesheets correctly. We have over 45 staff and approximately 30 earnings rates, therefore having them in random order in Xero Me causes many timesheet errors.

Having the option of when adding a purchase invoice which is for a hire purchase or a loan agreement, then Xero automatically removes the aged payable balance from the listing and posts to a Hire Purchase/Loan nominal code to avoid having HPs/Loans in the payable listings - I know that this is a feature that other accounting systems have, such as FreeAgent.

    I know it's been some time since you first started this idea, Harry. There's been lots of discussions from other users on Xero Central about recording Hire purchase transactions, and if you're using Xero's Fixed Assets you'll find steps on how to do this in our article here.

    There's no logic in Xero to automatically detect where a transactions is for hire purchase or a loan, however if you've set up a liability account that you can record these sort of transactions to, it's a simple process of choosing this account when recording the transaction in Xero.

    Tbh we don't have any immediate plans for changing how this works in Xero for the short term.

  9. To have the Xero Fx rate populate automatically, show up as a suggestion, or be able to be selected via drop-down list within the Payments screen when Fx is involved. Currently you have to open a new tab, go to settings/currency, enter you date and then copy/paste the Fx rate.

  10. Hi there,

    Most clients cannot accept 'DRAFT' quotes, and not all clients like to be emailed through Xero (how you turn it non-DRAFT currently).

    Please can you add the same functionality as an invoice where you can accept, save and export it so we can email non-DRAFT quotes to clients and keep communication on our systems/in the format they like?

  11. Payroll Overview Dashboard - Can you please make this editable so that it can be customised to what details we want to see at an easy glance? Also the Calendar populates all 'holidays/public holidays' regardless of what state/country you're in. This should be customisable so that you can opt to only have your relevant holidays shown.

  12. I would like to evaluate cash flow by project. To be able to see when cash was received and payments made for each project. It will be a useful tool to manage a project and decide when to invoice and to know when we are funding projects from our own cash. At present there isn't a report which I can run to see cash flow by project. Could you please consider building one. Thank you.

  13. The real cost of an employee is not shown on the payslip, even though things like Workcover, public liability, Qleave could be shown as percentages based on no of staff over a year. Eg $20k workcover is / staff/weeks of year/hours work this week or $200000 / 16 staff / 52 weeks and 200 hours worked = 0.12c per hour. Same could be shown for Public liability, and any other costs attributable to each staff member.

    Also showing all forms of leave accrued in $$ values as well as hours gives a clearer picture to the staff member how much…

  14. Ability to add emojis to email templates.

    Currently, you are able to add the emojis when emailing individual invoices, but it is not possible to add the emojis to the email template.

    If you try to add an emoji to an email template, Xero will delete it after saving it.

    No plans to allowing inserting emoji's directly into the email template atm, but we'll track this here and let you know if there's any plans made.

  15. I have invoices that have a fixed due date, e.g 4th of the month, and would like invoices to be generated, and dated, a fixed number of days (e.g. 7) before this.

    WHen it's not near the end of the month then setting the invoice date and the due date to be 7 days after is fine. The issue arises when the invoice dates cross a month boundary as the varying number of days in the month makes this awkward.   16. It would be very useful if we could upload any supporting documentation for invoices or bills as attachments in Hubdoc. At the moment, I upload the invoice in Hubdoc and then have to add any supporting documentation in Xero directly.

  17. I recently encountered and failed a question about user invitation, which I have used many times without problem. Quite why the learning organisation has increasingly focused on sequence recall rather than book-keeping, is something of a mystery. Good software should be intuitive where there is no need to remember the exact order of clicking presented options.

  18. Make an invoice pdf downloadable from a mobile device.

    I get invoices from a supplier via email but it's only viewable as a PDF on a desktop, this stops me from being able to send the invoice to Dext.
