Email Settings - Specify date/time to send transactions
Ability to specify date/time when users’ want to send emails from Xero.
Purpose: So clients/customers can receive the email during the working hours and not at random time.

Hey everyone, we've seen all your votes and comments, and we totally get it – not being able to schedule one-off invoices or pick specific send times is a real pain point. Your feedback makes it clear how much time it costs you and how it can affect your client relationships.
Right now, repeat invoice templates go some way to providing some automation. But we know that's not quite what you're asking for when it comes to those one-off invoices or more precise timing for all your emails.
The good news is, our product team is digging in to the work that'd be needed to develop a solution, and figuring out the best way to make this happen. While we can't give any promises just yet, please know that your feedback is a huge part of this discovery process. Keep those comments and votes coming!
We'll post another update here as soon as we have more news to share.

I agree with Victoria. I do payroll for many businesses and having to log in days after processing the payroll just to send payslips within one day of the payment as per legal requirements is very frustrating.

I have prepped payroll, which is necessary achieve the figures to input into the bank for payment but I then need to return to Xero to send payslips on payday. How frustrating is that lack of efficiency? Currently, every month I apologise to my team to advise them that they are not getting their payslips on the same day as being paid. Embarrassing.

Xero, you say "Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread".
This was raised in 2015, it's 2025. It's a BASIC FUNCTION.

Please Please Xero this is a much needed function as a mum of 3 trying to fit everything in and invoicing in the evenings makes our buisness feel rude and unprofessional some of us don't have time or cant during normal buisness hours..... Surely this feature is not a big ask!

I'll gladly trade the new AI thingy (JAX?) any day for scheduled email functionality. (BTW I tried to get JAX to schedule an invoice. Sadly it wasn't able to)

In addition to below's post about pointless additions, let's not forget the removal of the ability to drag docs into a bill/invoice and then the reinstatement and the useless quick option to add a new contact when drafting an invoice but not being able to add contact names AND business names meaning you have to jump into contacts to create anyway rending that function useless. Seriously - why cant you sort the scheduling of emails and invoices - rudimentary

@Youssef Abouelnasr - just take a look at any of the community suggestions they are all 5-10 years old and no action from Xero.
Xero does not give a **** about it's users or implementing changes that would actually benefit us , rather they spend time and money on implementing things like the "New Invoicing' that no one asked for and is hated by majority of users. -

My first time using Xero and this was the first thing I looked for! I want to schedule my invoices, then have the system remind me they are good to go (make any last minute edits like adding expenses), then approve and send. Surely this is something that can be done and should be done soon? Any response since last year Xero?

Being able to schedule an invoice to send after you have completed it would be a great added administrative benefit. It would allow you to prep your invoices ahead of time knowing they will be sent on the date you provided

+1 this is an incredibly important feature for those invoicing customers in multiple time zones. This feature would help us send invoices at a time that is most convenient to them (without working irregular hours ourselves). Not having this is a major pain point that other platforms address.

This would be a great feature! I work most days and then do accounting afterwards so timed emails would be very helpful!
It seems like a very simple/ basic feature that should already be apart of the software

This is a critical feature. Many small business owners are working later in the day or on weekends and the clients/customers do not appreciate email being sent over the weekend. Many recipients have apps on their phone, receive notifications, and feel compelled to reply. Please add this schedule send feature.
