Bank Reconciliation - Show more statement lines per page
Ability to show more statement lines during reconciliation in one page.
Purpose: To save users time from scrolling and changing the page.
Thanks again, everyone! I can now confirm we've officially released these changes to all users. 🤗
As a quick recap of what's been released - From the Reconcile page your bank account now shows up to 50 statement lines at once. There is also a search bar at the top of the page where you can enter details from your statement lines including; Payee, Reference, Description, Transaction type, Cheque No. and Analysis code. Within the search you have filters to help you narrow down the date range or amounts that you want to reconcile - For more insight on recent changes see our Blog.
We really appreciate your engagement of this over time and sharing with us through the Product Ideas site, here.

Helen Jarvis - you know there is an option to view by statement or by statement line?

This would save a lot of time. As an addition it would also be useful to be able to search unreconciled transactions by date. I can have approx 30+ transactions being represented by one statement line and to find them all by date would be super useful. However if this is not possible the maximum viewable transactions per page is vital to save time.

Our organisation adopts the LEAN philosophy, and I am sure many others do to in some way shape or form. Improving the view of the bank reconciliation page will save time and we all know that time = money. So if we can stream line a process and save time, why not do it.

Needs adding as soon as possible. We have multiple pages to work though making the task much longer than should be necessary.

Or ... an option to use the original Bank Reconciliation Report, because it is much more practical and presents much better, and is therefore more useful. I need to send the Bank Reconciliation Report to clients asking them to advise what the uncoded transactions are: what would fit on 1 page on the original Report would take 3 pages + in the new Report, and be much more messy and difficult for the client to use to0.

This needs adding ASAP. I want to search the reconciliations at my own pace, not be limited by an arbitrary page load cap.

And show more than just the first 30 characters of the bank statement lines. That box is surrounded by white space so why cripple it?
-
Brandon Favel commented
Agreed! We need the ability to view more than 10 statement lines at a time.

This is the top idea spanning a long time and yet there is no commentary from Xero staff or a plan to implement a solution (as far as I'm aware). I frequent these pages and vote on ideas however I feel it's wasted time without dialogue.

Yes please. I'd prefer 100 per page.

On other screens that have lists of transactions you can choose whether you see 10, 25, 50 100 or 200 transactions. Would this not be easy/possible for the bank rec too? Alternatively, being able to change the size of the window (even if it is at the expense of the items chosen) would help.

View more than 200 statement lines

More would be nice - but I suspect its an issue with the time to calculate & display the reconciliation suggestions that might be the limiter.
So 20 would be nice but I doubt 50+ is viable

Absolutely, I agree there is way too much white space!

It will be better if user can choose how many lines to show, just like bank statement and other pages

It is not unusual for me to have to process a remittance advice which includes more than 300 lines of invoices/credits. The current set up in Xero is remarkably unfriendly and in my untrained mind wouldn't be that difficult to alter. When using Find and Match, there are only 5 transaction in view making it a constant exercise of scrolling backwards and forwards. Processing one single payment can easily take 45-60 minutes of my time.

Please, please, please. I have just moved over from MYOB and now having only 10 lines is so frustrating.

This seems to me to be the most simple enhancement for greatest value. On the transactions tab you allow up to 200 lines, this is great when there are a lot of transactions to reconcile, so please make this highly requested enhancement, and also the SORT & FILTER request another excellent recommendation by many. thx Paul
