Invoice Payment: Stripe - Partial payments
Ability to have partial payments through Stripe.
Purpose: Users can easily set up partial payment in one invoice rather than having to create separate invoices.

Many of my clients want to pay part of their bill one way and part another. Also to pay just the deposit and then monthly amounts before a big event. Seems silly to have to create multiple invoices. Just let them pay a part of it!

This is critical for me. I have clients who want to pay part payments but are now unable to, which may hold up payment much longer as they can not use their credit cards.

This should be critical along with splitting fixed asset : part disposals!
There are lots of subscription businesses that need this function to work with Gocardless. -

If quickbooks can allow part payment surely xero can ??? I was very suprised this is not a feature with stripe payment

This should be an option years ago! Come on Xero

I'm surprised this isn't already a function. Had an awkward phone call with a client who had reached their daily limit and I was not able to take payment at that time. It's cost us time and effort providing this work around for the client, and now I'm waiting for them to be available for payment again.

We cannot process invoices smoothly without this function and we are looking at alternatives. If Xero can provide this, we will be satisfied!

I take prepayments on my services, being able to do this using stripe would be very useful

We would like to issue one invoice which has a 'deposit' element to it to secure the date they wish to book and then a 'balance' outstanding which they have to pay closer to the date in question. is this possible on one invoice?

I need to be able to take partial payments that will apply to an invoice leaving a balance to pay. An option to enter the amount to pay instead of the invoice total only. Thank you

I have a workaround that I have implemented this with a few suppliers now.
Ask the supplier to go into Stripe and create a buy button link
https://stripe.com/gb/payments/payment-linksThen they can create a reference field "Invoice Number"
You can pay any amount you like against the invoiceRequires a manual linking of the payment to the invoice, which is sad - but you could create a bit of automation to do that if you really wanted. Zapier could probably do it. I don't have enough to worry about it tbh.
But if you have a lot, you could:
Trigger: Payment in Stripe
Action: Find Invoice (using Stripe text field)
Action: Take invoice ID and create PaymentI created a template, just for fun here

I've been waiting for 4 years for this feature and may have to finally switch back to Quickbooks to get it. Can't believe it's still not available.

Wow! I can't believe this isn't possible.
Surely there is a risk involved of errors being made in selecting an amount to pay. But, there should be an option for the Xero account owner to enter in a value that is then pushed to the client to make a payment.
