AU Payroll - Line item breakdown of payslips - YTD
Hi, It would be great if payslips line items match the 'pay template' pay items or alternatively, for pay items that have a YTD amount to be shown on all payslips (with the Nil or $amount for the current pay period as applicable with the YTD) to breakdown 'Other Previous Earnings'.
This will also assist tracking multiple pay items where it can vary each pay cycle, coding and tracking STP rates and categories, YE finalisation and review. Many thanks.

The employee pay slip displays the Gross Year-to-Date (YTD) salary figure; however, the Net YTD salary figure is missing from individual employee pay slips.
Under the Salary and Wages components, the "Other Previous Earnings" section does not provide a breakdown of sick leave, public holidays, and other specific earnings. This lack of detail makes it challenging to explain to employees what these "Other Previous Earnings" include. -

i've never seen any other payroll software that does this, it wastes so much time having to explain to employees what their payslips mean because we don't have the option to display them clearly.

It is ridiculous that all YTD earning cannot be displayed on a payslip - the option to display that data should be available.

Compulsory to have a breakdown for STP, please give us an option to turn this feature on or off

We are proposing a change in the payslip format to display all pay items separately. This will provide a clearer breakdown of earnings for our employees, regardless of their work shifts. For example, if an employee works a shift one week and not the next, the latter week's payslip should show a blank line for the shift not worked but always display the YTD.
We kindly request the removal of the other previous earnings function.
e.g., the first pay slip
-Base hourly YTD will appear
-Night shift YTD will appearFor the second payslip
-Base hourly YTD will appear
-Did not work a night shift. Instead, "other previous earnings" appears. The work hours fluctuate weekly depending on which pay item the employee works.
We understand that we can print a transaction detail report, however this is not practicable.
All employees should be able to see how they got paid on their pay slips.
NOTE
If others have the same issue, please comment. -

This is an important feature required for STP2 Reporting, and it is strangely odd that no one has thought about this for simpler reconciliation.

This is quite an important feature considering the detail required for STP2 Reporting. It's disappointing that MYOB has this feature but Xero doesn't!

Split of 'other previous earnings' under correct categories in YTD, when specific categories don't have numbers in current payslip. This is important from visibility and ease of understanding point.

The option to show relevant weekly payroll data on payslip rather than showing YTD data that includes details of a whole years public holidays.
This did not occur previously and has now started showing the YTD data and unfortunately I am told that there is no way of reverting back to showing only the weekly/monthly data.

Add in YTD totals under "Payment details" to help identify total amounts paid into account.
