AU Timesheet approval process upgrade
Timesheet approval process
- Give payroll admins the ability to move the status from "draft" to "pending approval" as is possible in NZ and UK or
- Give permissions to users with approval power to see the timesheet in the "draft" status through "Xero me" or
- Permit users with approval power to see the "timesheet" module in addition to "Xero me"
Hi team, knowing that managing and reviewing timesheets is a big part of your work, we're working to make this easier for you in Xero Payroll.
We’re updating the timesheet admin experience, including a new timesheet list and a redesigned details view to help you find what you need faster.
We’d love your help to shape these improvements. We’re looking for customers who manage or approve employee timesheets to join an early access program. You’ll try the new interface and give feedback directly to our team.
If you'd like to help us build a better experience 📝 fill in our recruitment survey.
It only takes a few minutes, and we’ll be in touch soon with next steps. Thanks for your help!

Agreed Dianna, having a level where someone can VIEW AND approve ALL timesheets not just those submitted to them and still see them after they have clicked approve unlike the setting allowing this in the employee file, but without giving them full access to payroll etc.

It is frustrating not being able to see draft invoices as a payroll officer as they come to me for help and sometimes they can't access the draft timesheet through their login if their details have changed or logged in on a different device when they have lost their phone etc. in AU we used to be able to see draft timesheets but no longer can unfortunately

And the manager who approves the timesheet not be able to see all payroll details especially pay rates. This is private information. If there is a way to set this up please let me know.
