  1. Sales Tax lines in Suppliers bills - CAD
    When a bill is posted as draft, Xero displays the sales tax based on the percentage of the tax and not the tax type/name. This makes it harder to review and compare and confirm with the supplier's invoice which always displays the federal tax (GST) and provincial tax (PST) in separate lines. It is even more problematic when there are more than one taxable portion in the same invoice (a portion GST and another portion GST/PST). It would be great to show the tax type in the draft mode too.

  2. To have the Xero Fx rate populate automatically, show up as a suggestion, or be able to be selected via drop-down list within the Payments screen when Fx is involved. Currently you have to open a new tab, go to settings/currency, enter you date and then copy/paste the Fx rate.

  3. We would love to be able to send a remittance advice direct from Xero which includes the Reference that the supplier has asked us to provide. We are having a lot of trouble with suppliers failing to match payments which is time consuming for everyone.

    It would be a really easy fix!
    And even better, would be when exporting a file to BACS, the Reference requested by each supplier should be included on the relevant line, not the global company reference that is currently exported. (not quite sure why it already works exactly like we want when you only export…

  4. Set a particular contact field (e.g. account number) as a mandatory field, so that an invoice cannot be issued without that field having been added to the customer account.

  6. I would like to evaluate cash flow by project. To be able to see when cash was received and payments made for each project. It will be a useful tool to manage a project and decide when to invoice and to know when we are funding projects from our own cash. At present there isn't a report which I can run to see cash flow by project. Could you please consider building one. Thank you.

  7. Pls can you consider providing an option to view all Debit balances as positive values and all Credit balances as negative values (in brackets) on the Chart of Accounts as well as accounts on the Dashboard?

    That way it's immediately obvious if a balance is owing TO the business or BY the business, without having to first determine if an acc is set up as an asset or a liability on the Chart of Accounts.

  8. I think the invoice customisation in Xero needs a major overhaul. Many of my clients have spent considerable amounts on graphic design, but the customisation process (downloading a Word doc, editing, and uploading) is a nightmare. The standard Xero invoices are really dated (such as the Mastercard or Visa logos, the payment slip footer, font choices etc), which means the better option is to upload a customised invoice. The problem I have is that most of the fonts I've tried seem to be unavailable once uploaded to Xero, with most reverting to Times New Roman, and that's an issue that…

  9. Current options in the "Standard - Edit Branding Theme" exist to add details/terms in certain fields that show only on (Invoice and Statement) or (Quotes).
    Two additional options for maximising a field for Terms for (Purchase Orders) and (Remittances) would complete the set.......pleeeeease!!

  11. Could you please add a feature to fill a tracking category for every line in a bill or invoice?
    I am dealing with multiple pages of line items on a bill and each bill belongs to different locations (tracking categories). Note that allocating the tracking category to the supplier account, won't work, because they deal with all our tracking locations. If we can add the tracking option once with an option to fill all the remaining lines, it will save us a lot of silly repetitive work. Currently, we have to type, select, tab, tab, tab, tab, and then repeat…

    Hi team, this isn't something we have direct plans for developing atm, however for those with the Adviser role you could consider using Find & recode as a way to bulk assign tracking to your transactions lines.

    It's important to note that it's not possible to undo a recode, so if you're unsure of how the features works at all we';d recommend trying it out in the demo company first.

  12. It would be very useful if we could upload any supporting documentation for invoices or bills as attachments in Hubdoc. At the moment, I upload the invoice in Hubdoc and then have to add any supporting documentation in Xero directly.

    Hi Shawn, to make sure we understand the idea here - would you like this field to be visible to the contact. Say when a certain branding theme is applied? Or just an internal to view when creating invoices in Xero? Thanks

  14. In ‘Bills Awaiting Payment’ it would be useful if you could assign (or at contact level) a payment method. Specifically so that anything due to be taken by DD isn’t inadvertently paid on a payment run.

  15. The "Planned Dates" feature in Bills to Pay works extremely well. Key element is that you can bulk update dates as required from a multiple selection.

    The "Expected Date" feature has the same potential but also needs to be able to update invoice "Expected Dates" in bulk.

    Invoices cannot be updated in bulk from Short Term Cashflow if a part-payment has been made against that invoice. Also, you can't update invoices Expected dates if they are not due yet.

    Thanks for the detail of why the Short term cashflows option is not viable for you here, Karl. 

    We don't have any immediate plans around this but will keep an eye on the appetite here and let you know if there's any plans made. 

  16. Add a 'Projects' column to Bills rather than having to click 'Assign expenses to customer or project'.

    As a company who have many projects that are a similar (or the same) name as a customer's company name, the current process results in expenses being assigned to a customer and not the project!

    A 'Project' column has been added in the new invoice template so PLEASE add one to the Bills as well!!

    Thanks for the feedback here, team. While we have made some improvements to the Bills list screen we don't currently have plans for adding Projects as it's own column here.

    However, you may have seen you can now quick view bills from the eye icon and edit from the list meaning you can check a bills assignments, edit if you need and then move onto the next without having to move away from the list.

  17. Make an invoice pdf downloadable from a mobile device.

    I get invoices from a supplier via email but it's only viewable as a PDF on a desktop, this stops me from being able to send the invoice to Dext.

  19. When I approve my own expense claims, don't generate a notification for me that my expense is approved. I already know because I just did it. It wastes my time and attention marking those notifications as read.

    Just a minor annoyance. But also a quick fix, I suspect.

    Hey team, we began releasing updates to expense notification which included the change mentioned in my last update here. However, with some of the other changes that were bundled with this one we quickly found that there were some customers receiving many more notifications than before.

    Unfortunately we've needed to turn this off and will look longer term and how we can develop controls for notification preferences.

    For the time being I'm going to move this back to Accepted and when we can bring more attention and resource to developing controls for notifications we'll share an update with you all.

  20. Sometimes time entries change, and there's no record of when or how..
    please includes history notes on time entries - or capture in the advanced activity section, history and notes, information on when time entries are entered &/or changed.
