  1. Report similar to Approved_sentand_paid which shows receipts (Payments & credit) for a specified week and not including previous part payments in the Payment and credits collum. The report should match our banking / receipts for that specific week including part payments.

  5. Most businesses have their employees incur expenses, such as mileage, which are chargeable to their clients. This means that the expenses need to both be added to invoices to clients and paid back to employees. This should really be done by simply getting employees to submit their expenses using, for example Hubdoc. However, at the moment, the systems available allow to to only one of the 2 things described above thus creating a lot of unnecessary admin work and potential inconsistencies between what has been charged to clients and what has been paid to employees.

  6. Prior to the last update the upstanding invoices on the sales dashboard used to show amount outstanding. After the update it shows the total of the invoice. This is misleading as it is not showing the actual posts sing amounts.
    I run a layby system in my shop and this new update although small is actually inconvenient as I now have to click into each invoice (many of my customers have various laybys ar one time) to see the actual outstanding amount vs total of the invoice.
    Don’t suppose you could change it back??

  7. We only want to pay the supplier/freelancer once our customer has paid for the service.
    Some form of link between a purchase invoice and the associated sales invoice to flag that the supplier can now be paid as the corresponding sales invoice was settled.
    Trigger something in the Due Date or even set up a payment so that it is easier to make sure we only pay once we have been paid

    Hi Neil, just rounding back on your idea here again. We have a separate request for the ability to be notified when an invoice has been paid. Being good to track each part of the idea separately I'll slightly adjust the title of your idea for the first portion and you're welcome to join this other one for any updates around notification of paid invoices. 🙂

  8. Export in CSV UTF-8 or excel file as opposed to CSV comma delimited. Or have the option to choose what format the file is downloaded in as opposed to it having to be csv comma delimited.

    Reasoning: We utilise characters in our Xero that currently doesnt export out correctly e.g. "青龍 香米". This problem would be eliminated if we could export the file format as either excel or CSV UTF-8. Xero as a system supports the upload of these characters and displays them absolutely fine on the webpage, which is why we have decided to move to your system, but…

  9. It would be great if the Reference field was moved to the body of the sales invoice so that you could add item line referencing with the option to enable the referencing to print on the sales invoice.

    For example, a plumbing business completes work for a customer that has multiple rental properties. If the reference field was in the body of the sales invoice, they could add the applicable property address here so that they and the customer could differentiate what work was completed at each property for the invoiced period.

    Cheque Printing option should be available for versions outside of Canada & US It's a very key feature required to many organizations which should be added in xero. Hope to see this feature available to every version of Xero in the near future.

  11. Add the ability to extract data from scanned receipts in the Xero Expense web app.

    At the moment, both the mobile app and HubDoc can automatically scan receipts and extract data (date, amount, payee, etc). This doesn't work in the web app and Hubdoc cannot send documents to the Expense app.

  12. Add a feature where you can capture bulk supplier invoices.
    You can select your supplier from a dropdown, type the invoice number, type the description, select to add a file, select account detail (sales account) and type in your amount.
    This will save much more time vs opening the supplier account, add new bill, etc, etc, or copying a recent bill and just typing over it ... it's tedious and time consuming the way it is set up now.

    Hi Louleen, rounding back to your idea here. From what you describe it sounds like majority of the contents of the bills are the same? If so perhaps a repeat bill template could be an option. If you set this to create a Draft bill you could then just review and make any adjustments.

    Also if you already have existing bills that need entering you can back date a repeat bill template and dependent on the cycle you set e.g 'repeats every x days' you could spin up multiple bills from one template at once.

  13. When I am emailed a bill from a vendor who also uses Xero, I click the link and open that bill in a browser. Usually, I am already logged in to Xero in another tab in the same browser. Usually, there will be multiple bills to open this way.

    Client is wondering whether there is a way to split bills in the cash flow prediction to show half the bill being paid on this day and the remainder on another day. Currently you can tell it that we estimate to pay the bill in full on this day but can't see an option to split the bill.

  16. Invoice - Ability to move "Pay Now" button to custom part of email body.

    Currently as first part of email, "PAY NOW £***" is displayed in the message preview in quite a confronting manner. Ability to move it to any part of the email body would make our organisation seem friendlier.

  17. I would like to be able to forward receipts I have received via email which are NOT attachments, but are inline / html receipts, and have Xero read them, like Expensify can.

    I waste so much time receiving emailed receipts (BPME for example) which I then have to save as a PDF and forward / upload.
