  3. See card number when reconciling

    There is no longer a card number on the bank statement line when reconciling.

    This was really useful as we have multiple business cards connected to the same account and we need to know which employee made the transaction (which we identified through the credit card number)

  4. Been trailing the new reports format and when setting up a custom group account layout for a Profit and Loss report we can't use this layout across Common Formats of Profit and Loss. This feature was available in the old reports that once a custom layout was created it worked on all formats. Been advised that would need to create a separate custom report for every Common Format

  5. In History and Notes, that current 1000 transaction search you have is too restrictive given the limited search fields you have available.

    Due to performing more than 1000 specific transactions (e.g., deletions), I can't see the ones performed in the earlier part of the day.

    So obviously by being able to isolate a particular time period in any given day (e.g., 9am to 11am), that would solve the issue.

    In all honesty, limiting the search to 1000 transactions was ridiculous in the first place. Who came up with that number??!!!

  6. Create a Bank Reconciliation Report only which would be the current Reconciliation report without trial balance, AP, AR, Fixed assets, general ledger exemptions and journal entries.
    I know you could custom create the report but xero generated would be more professional and would also includes any additional bank accounts .

  9. There should be a way to remove unnecessary motivational responses like "Great Job!" when finishing a bank reconciliation.

    I do the bank reconciliation every day and don't consider the task difficult or special, so the "Great Job!" just seems patronising. A simple "You've reconciled all the transactions for this account" is all that is necessary for a business application like Xero. Some people might like it but I'd prefer my accounting software to not pretend to have a personality like that.

  10. Manual Journal - Copy details from line above- this is a tool in Sage so please could you consider it? :) it's a nifty action & allows a one click solution to repeat account & tracking categories and is especially useful for large entries such as payroll journals.

  11. When calculating Leasehold Improvements as a Fixed Asset, the term is often not whole months even when using days it still does not calculate correctly for example we need to use 2.67 years to reconcile to our workbook.

  12. VAT201 Report (ZA) - A SARS requirement is to have sequential invoice numbers. The invoice numbers are not displayed on the VAT201 report, only the customer reference number, if there is no reference number, then the customer invoice number is displayed. Can we please have a column for the customer invoice number or only have the customer invoice number listed.

  13. Custom reports- why there such a large gap of blank wasted space between the account names and the first column!! We create month x month reports ie 12 months of columns wide, so it is very frustrating when you create a PDF with all those columns on it and there is that great wasted space before the first column!!!

  14. Currently, Xero offers an excellent feature enabling us to view notes and actions related to invoices and transactions. However, I think it would be highly beneficial if we could also access a detailed history of changes made to reports, such as budget manager reports and GST. Recently, I've encountered instances where my final GST reports were inexplicably reverted back to draft status. This unexpected behavior has resulted in confusion and inefficiencies within our financial management process. Regrettably, I have been unable to identify the responsible party behind these changes, leaving me puzzled and concerned about the security of our data.

  15. Under Bank Statements, you should be able to search all records with an Unreconciled Status. When you Search and select "Unreconciled" in the search bar, you still get ALL records -- reconciled and not.

  17. Ability to easily see which bills have not been scheduled for payment.

    There are tabs for each date that payments have been scheduled. An "unscheduled" tab would be useful, showing bills awaiting payment without a planned payment date.

    Will save users time having to sort the bills by planned date to see which ones need scheduling.

    Hi Tina, just thinking in lieu of this feature atm - To help get a view of bills that don't have an assigned planned date you can click the Planned date header to sort all bills by planned date and this will also group all bills with no planned date. 🙂

  18. Please INCLUDE GOOGLE SHEETS for ALL downloadable reports in Xero. Some reports are downloadable only in Excel. SUPER FRUSTRATING!!!!!!

  19. Tracking Categories do not show in Xero Me mobile app when I approve my employees' timesheets. This means I cannot check that they have allocated their time to the correct Tracking Categories, so I have to approve timesheets on the computer making Xero Me useless for Timesheet approvals. Please show Tracking Categories in the Xero Me timesheets app.

    Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.

  20. Filter/Search in Cash coding screen.

    Please create the ability to filter or search for names or words in the cash coding screen. When you have a big catch up client with 2000 entries this would save so much time.
