  2. Including the AUTO lookup feature for sales tax in the Mobile App would make the product usability much better in states such as Colorado. To create invoices at "pop-up" events in various tax jurisdictions is crucial so you don't have to remember to continuously load new rates for complex destination /home-room rule situations. The "usability" of the app would be increased rather than being tethered to a computer to manage.

  3. Sales - how to add customer purchase order received in Xero and issue invoice from that purchase order. This way it will be easier to track PO received from customer vis a vis the invoices issued.

  4. Ability to have separate ‘Reply-to’ email addresses within the same Xero organisation.

    Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

  5. When editing an Invoice or a Bill Containing Products, The form have the Very bad feature of automatically resetting the Qty to 1... causing all kind of error.

    Sometimes we have to update an Invoice, a purchase order or a bill to reflect business changes. When you do that, the form automatically resets the QTY to 1 and the Reset the discount to Customer default and does not show you it was done. So mistakes are being made...
    If you feel the need to do so, at minima, the page should highlights the modified numbers to give us a chance…

  6. Multiple contacts on a Project. Projects can currenlty only be built and linked to 1 contact at a time. However. in terms of training and events where there could be multiple contacts linked this is an issue. If Xero could add the option for multiple contacts this would be great. It would save all my issues in terms of tracking a job.

    Hi Megan, when your talk about the training and events could you explain a bit more of your business flow when using Projects? 

    Atm, you can create bills and invoices for different contacts and associated these transactions with a single project. 

  7. Change the Alternate Holiday accrual to days not hours. Legally when someone works on a statutory holiday they get to accrue 1 days alternate holiday, which is the hours that they would normally work when they take the day off, not the hours they worked on the stat day. It's misleading putting in hours instead of days, especially if every day if not an 8 hour day. Reports need to be run every time an Alternate Holiday is taken to ensure they still have that day available.

    Hi Mandy, this is something our team are working on at present.

    Currently, any new businesses that have started using Xero Payroll from 5 August 2024 will have the ability to set up employee leave entitlements to show alternate holiday leave in days. While we're still working on changes to enable this for existing organisations we'll keep you updated of when this is made available here.

  8. It will be very useful for reporting if we are able to change the layout of Timesheet Details from a week ending to fortnightly while also able to choose the start date and end date without the dates with zero hours.

  9. To allow default settings for individual invoice templates. For example rather than set a default due date or currency for ALL invoices, allow individual invoice templates to be set there own due date timeframes , ie 7 days or immediate payment terms and also the same for currency.

    The more standardised we can make our templates, the less likelihood of user error.

  10. When an employee works for multiple tracking categories within the business... Now, there is only one category that we can apply to in an employee card...however, sometimes, they work for more "tracking categories" ..it would be handy if we could select more category options while processing pay runs..

  12. Under current simplified depreciation rules, small businesses deduct the balance of the small business pool at the end of the income year if the balance at that time (before applying the depreciation deductions) is less than the instant asset write-off threshold.

    Currently Xero's pool does not apply this rule & continues depreciating at 30%. It would be great to have a product update so the correct application of current tax rules applys to the pooling system in Xero.

    Appreciate the traction this idea's gained - Thanks for your support, everyone.

    Our Fixed Asset product team are working on upgrades to Fixed Assets platform and updating technology - Read more on this broader work on Xero Central

    We understand how having an automated control to recognise and apply a write-off for general pooled assets where the balance is beneath the threshold would be useful, this is not in our roadmap right now.

    That said, they have a close eye on ideas for Fixed Assets for when the time's right - we'll share any change on the idea, here.

  13. Businesses based in Jersey (Channel Islands) are treated as Global Customers and so charged in USD.

    As part of the British Isles I'd suggest we should be treated better within the UK bracket and be charged in GBP. Or be able to chose the currency of billing.

  16. I was able to add columns on a report to show tracked category subtotals alongside category totals, then I used 3 formula columns to show the category totals excluding the tracked category values and then the variance by $ and % excluding the tracked category values.

    It would be nice instead to be able to make Variance columns that will refer to other Variance columns and/or Formula columns. This way, I gain the benefit of colour coding and arrows for these formulae, making them more directly comparable and more visually consistent!

  18. Would like a red prompt on main dashbord screen if VAT return is finalised but not filed . Do not want to go into VAT return screen to be prompted. Small businesses like mine may not visit "VAT" from one quarter to the next if you think you are done.
    By showing on the main dashboard screen you would instantly see something was wrong avoiding a late filing and unnecessary HMRC penalties or fines.

  19. Hi Xero,
    Thank you for your continued improvement with the software. However, my client who are into cash basis accounting would like to have Spend or Receive money feature on the mobile app as it appears on the web.

    I saw a similar idea which you responded to it, but that option only works for those who have direct bank feed into their system.

    My clients do not want to create invoices before receiving the amount when using the Xero app. The spend or receive feature will be a game-changer for my clients here in Ghana.
