  2. I hope xero has the functionality of e-invoicing to approve and send the multiple e-invoices in bulk.
    As this new invoicing does not allow it and make the task slower than the conventional xero way.
    I hope you'll add this suggestion on your product improvement and see xero functioning the next time around.

  3. VAT - late claims. As i use tracking categories - everything runs back through the late claims part of the VAT report but, this means there a mass of data to check through for the actual late claims that i do want in there. Very time consuming to check through all this. It would be great if you could separate out - say that the things come through from the bills from the tracking categories.

  4. I think a very useful feature is Notes at the bottom of a bill or invoice, however it is not quite practical if we have to click history to see any notes added to a particular bill.

    A better place would be right below the description box so any notes added would be clearly visible to anyone who opens the bill. Also, if a note is added to a bill, there should be an icon for it - similar to the files icon.

  5. By law one cannot claim input VAT on a supplier bill without the valid Tax invoice to hand. I wish to draw a report to indicate supplier bills that don't have valid input VAT tax invoices. This way I can adjust the VAT schedule to reduce the input VAT claim and don't have to manage this on a manual basis.

  6. The company name used to be a hyperlink to take you back to the contact main page when you are viewing an invoice. Now it gives you a summary box of the company address - really dont see the value of this change. It has introduced yet another change to the flow of work that creates more clicks per action. You cant get out of the invoice unless you use the browser back button or Control-enter on the company name (twice) to open a new tab of the contact. Please restore the company name hyperlink to the company contact page.…

    Thanks for sharing, Sally. This pop up that appears when clicking on the contact is the contact card. While not a lot of information is held here atm our team are looking into developing that out to show and enable users to edit more of their contact information without having to leave the invoice. 

    Appreciate this does add an extra click into the contact card before you can go across to the contact record and we'll leave the idea here open to gather interest in a one click option directly. If there's any change we'll update you on this here. 

  7. Add a new field for "Row number" in customized invoice. So that we can see how many lines items in one invoice & fulfill client needs.

    Hi Shawn, to make sure we understand the idea here - would you like this field to be visible to the contact. Say when a certain branding theme is applied? Or just an internal to view when creating invoices in Xero? Thanks

  8. Currently you can put titles and notes etc on quotes and invoices etc. However the client does not see any of this. This is critical to be able to add notes etc that don't belong on a line item

  9. Can we have dates sorted out for chart of accounts so we can keep track of what is new?
    Since it's not possible to sort the accounts which appear in the Chart of Accounts screen by the date they have been added.

    I want to be able to keep track of my new accounts (eg. sort by date)

  10. Ability to add bigger better quality logo's at the top of the body of invoices sent as emails.

    132 px x 37 px ends up so tiny and always blury (I have tried all formats but some sort of extra compression is going on in the backend. Don't look so good for us graphic designers ;-)

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to display logos as you need. There are a few different situations mentioned in feedback here and we want to explain and help clarify how logos are shown when using Xero. 


    The first is how your organisations logo is shown within the invoice email sent to your customer. This is taken from the organisation settings page. There was a period that impacted some customers where the logo quality was being reduced when sending with new invoicing. Taking on board feedback our team implemented a change in new invoicing so this should now be appearing correctly - If you’re finding your logo quality is not showing correctly in the invoice email please do raise a case with our team and they can investigate more on this with you individually.

  11. Since Xero does not allow integrations to post JE to the bank feed, but instead works around this by using bills. It would be a lot more seamless especially in the case of payroll (Gusto) to have Xero automatically match the 2 transactions to the bill.

    Seems silly in this day and age when the 2 transactions automatically match the bill total we need to do this manually, then split the bill, refresh the page, and then match the remaining balance.

    Using other accounting software that uses JE this is a clunky process that could be made a lot better.

For businesses that have more than 1 Organisation on Xero, can we have a button on most pages which allows us to go straight to the same page in another Organisation without having to go to Change Organisation in top left corner then go through all the pages to get to the same page in the next Organisation.
    For example, if Im looking at unpaid invoices or draft bills in one Organisation, can we have a button with a drop down list of our other Organisations which we click on to go straight to the same unpaid invoices or draft…

  13. In the 'Accounts Transactions' report:

    • In the Filter, under the 'Account type' could all of the sub account types that are visible when creating an account be added to the filter?

    • For instance sometimes I want to send a report of just the cost of sales accounts to a client.

  15. Please show assigned account and GST status on reconciled account transactions tab under Accounts.

    Reconciled account transactions do not show assigned account or GST status in the Account Transactions for an account. I really really need to see that. I spend 50% of my time in Xero determining and checking assigned account and GST status.

    I know I can run a report, but that is very time consuming, and I can't change it easily from there.

    Assigned account or GST status is so basic for any transaction, it needs to be immediately displayed everywhere there is a reconciled transaction displayed.…

    Sorry we've not responded to your idea here sooner, Peter. It sounds like the Account Transactions report should assist with what you're asking here -You can customise the report to add related account column. You'll also find you can choose which tax columns you include.

    If it's something you'll often refer to Save as custom and perhaps even favourite the report for ease of access.

  16. When converting a Purchase Order to a bill it would be great if there was a way of transferring any PDFs attached to the PO to the Bill. At the moment you need to remember to do this manually.

  18. When entering times into Xero Projects via the Start and End time function, it would be good to have a Break field included to account for unpaid meal breaks during the task. This would be deducted from the calculated duration of the Task and align with out Clients' timesheets etc.

  19. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
    Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
    Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  20. Run Reports for Assigned Customer Expenses - It would be extremely helpful to be able to run a report for each of my customers to see total assigned expenses for bills that have been paid and approved, not only for unpaid bills.
