  1. Project Summary Report always had actual hours and estimated hours on and since it has been updated this option is no longer available and that is 2 of the most important columns for us. Also the wording of the headings have changed and no longer match the Project Details report which is ridiculous. This report needs to be converted back to how they used to be.

  2. Invoices cannot be sent multiple times by e-invoicing - any invoice that was sent by e-invoicing can only be sent again after that by email. This is fine; that ensures that my customers don't have a billion copies of the same invoice in their drafts.

    However, this is also true of invoices where sending by e-invoicing failed and the customer has not received the invoice at all.

    I would like the ability to send by e-invoice to reset when the original attempt fails, because the only workaround I've found involves deleting and recreating the invoice with a new invoice number…

    Hi community, we want to update you that we've recently released the ability to include Purchase Orders (PO) through Payable Invoice Summary report. If you expand the side panel on the left of the report and select the 'Outstanding purchase orders summary' report, this will automatically display all Bills, Credit Notes and Purchase Orders and group them by Contact for you. You can use the total row of each contact to infer the remaining balance.

    We're aware this may not directly show the information that you’re asking for here, so we'll keep the status idea as it is and we’ll let you know if there’s any further updates.

  5. I generate invoices from the Xero app. Quick and easy. I would like to generate a receipt from my iPhone app as well after a customer has paid. At present you can only do this via the website.

  6. Xero Payroll Journal non-cash option for the Cash Summary

    Currently all transactions from the Payroll Journal will pull through to the Cash Summary Report. The information that pulls through doesn't differentiate what has being paid from a bank account or non-cash.

    Suggestion to add a functionality in Xero Payroll and exclude certain items from the Payroll Journal from automatically showing in the Cash Summary Report.

  7. To be able to Assign & invoice a billing client within blue Xero. It’s not unusual to have a central billing agency looking after subsidiaries accounts so the ability to bill the agency while having the subsidiary with thin your system to raise the invoice against would work well.

  8. Typically Xero calculates all PAYG tax to be withdrawn from employees to the nearest dollar. Correct. However, the same check isn't in place if you manually add extra tax. In the past, I included extra tax to be withdrawn from an employee and included cents in the amount. At tax prep time, this caused a headache for my accountant. Xero could easily prevent this each time or warn you closer to the end of financial year to get back on track with zero cents.

  9. BNZ do not provide receivers with online access to accounts. Xero only allow BNZ bank feeds to be updated online. Receiving timely access to transactions is very important but BNZ & Xero have decided to cease this feature and not provide a solution for all customers.

  11. Xero has the facility to look up UK addresses by postcode when entering new contacts etc.

    Unfortunately it usually makes a such a mess of the address, I end up editing it all again anyway!

    • UK Postcode lookups can return a Company Name (e.g. if there are multiple companies registered at the same address.) Xero adds this company name again to the address. In our case, that is a duplicate of the Contact name, so we take that out to avoid it appearing twice.

    • UK Postal counties are obsolete and should no longer be used in postal addresses. Royal Mail…

  12. When purchasing product from clients we issue them with a hand-written Buyer Created Invoice on farm & then need to input this into Xero as a bill payment. But this doesn't show that it was a buyer created invoice. Please can this option be added

  13. Include the payment dates and payments made when sending invoices to clients.
    Currently once the invoice is downloaded or sent to client, it shows the total amount paid, but not broken down by date as per the screen shot i have attached. Currently it only shows «InvoiceTotalNetPayments»

  14. If you send an Invoice per mail to a client, a credit note that is linked to the invoice should be attached to the mail with the invoice too.
    Currently, you have to send two separate mails.
    If you send an invoice, you have several check boxes like "add invoice as pdf". There should be the option "add credit not as pdf".

  16. When in account transactions (or any report where you can select a date range) have a button to move that date range one month forwards or one month back.

    For example if you have the date range selected as 01.08.2022-31.08.2022 have a backwards button that would change this automatically to 01.07.2022- 31.07.2022 or a forwards button that would change this to 01.09.2022-30.09.2022 without having to go in and manually change the date to every month.

    This would be very helpful when doing detailed reconciliations on a monthly basis so you can move between the months much quicker. I know you…

    Hi everyone, we appreciate interest in a setting within the Account transactions report that would allow you to move forward a period or back a period from what's currently set.

    In openness, this isn't something we have any plans for developing in the near term but we will continue to track the community interest of here.

    While not exactly what's being asked in this idea I did want to highlight the Common date selections that are available within the report atm with the ability to easily select 'This month' or 'Last month'.

    If there is any news of improvements for dates that'd accommodate what you're after here, we'll update you all.

  17. Ability to sort by Account Name or Code when customising reports, without having to show the detail of sort. e.g sort by account code without showing the code on published reports

    Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present. 

    In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like. 

    Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report. 

    You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need. 

    To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in. 

  18. When creating an invoice for a customer and applying the “items” that were assigned to the customer it would be very helpful for Xero to apply all of the relevant information that was entered for the item to the invoice. Such as sales price, revenue account etc. Currently the billable expense information that is applied is the “cost price” only, which is not relevant on a customer invoice, and you must set the revenue account for each line item. All of the information is already entered in the inventory for the item.
