Find and Recode - Option to switch "Received as" to Prepayment, Overpayment, etc
Find and Recode payments from imported statements to change the "Received as" feature to Prepayment or Overpayment.
I have a lot of older statements to import (this particular payment provider does not offer a feed for importing automatically). These payments are nearly all prepayments, and now I have to manually reconcile them to Prepayments. Automation would be a real time saver!

Invoices - Option to convert to bill
It would useful to be able to have an edit function that allows you to change a bill to an invoice and vice versa. As clients tend to confuse these and it takes a lot of steps to copy the information over and delete the mistake.

New Invoicing - Retain Invoice Number when leaving the entry screen
This is an extremely basic feature that must be fixed (in my opinion, a bug). If I create a NEW invoice, but then do not approve it or save it as a draft, and simply close the browser or the session times out) the invoice number that had been temporarily allocated to this invoice is now lost. The next time I open Xero and input a new invoice, it skips that number and uses the next number. This is ridiculous behaviour as consecutive invoice numbers are critical to many companies.
To fix this, whenever a new invoice is started, the invoice number allocated must be the next sequential number, irrelevant of how many other times an invoice had been started, not completed. The logic is ALREADY there to not let a user save an invoice with the same number as a previous, so if 20 new invoices are attempted to be created at the same time, they still couldn't save them with the same number.

New invoicing | Copy to draft - Approve and email prompt if credit or prepayment available
For invoicing - if you copy an existing invoice (copy to draft invoice) - once all information is completed - when you then click "approve and email" it does not offer any credits or prepayments before sending. After you send you return to the invoice - it then shows "apply credit" - but this is too late! If you only click on "approve" then it will show the prepayment to allocate. But I believe you need it on both - approve and email should be included.

Contact | Ability to add phone number for persons of a contact record
Have the option to add individual contact numbers as well s emails for each additional contact from separate departments
93 votesHi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.

hubdoc
I wonder if it is possible to implement the following simple change to Hubdoc. Currently, when an invoice is downloaded from Hubdoc, the file name is complied as <supplier name><date><amount>. It would be much better to replace <amount> with an invoice number. It often happens the payment batches are being sent to authorisers outside Xero, so an ability to provide a list of sorted files would be great. It also makes an invoice search outside Xero much easier.

Reporting - Better filtering in Reconciliation Reports
Where there is more than one bank account in an organization, it would be very useful to be able to filter out a particular Cat Code, separately , within each bank account. Currently one gets the entire Cat Code for the entire organization, showing all the bank accounts. Also, the column "Tax" remains blank when a bank account's reconciliations for the date selected are chosen. Please see my uploaded example of just one bank account's reconciliations, which contains every transaction, but no tax shown. The report shows "Gross" and "Net" to be equal, when in fact there are many with tax. I have uploaded an example of a taxable item bill showing the tax, which doesn't show on the Reconciliation Report (see 08/11/2024 , gross amount 8950.21, bill showing tax amount 1167.42). Yet the Gross and Net on the report are the same. Thank you in advance, Adi.

The ability to show Sankey Diagrams
I would like to suggest adding the capability to generate Sankey diagrams within Xero. Sankey diagrams are highly effective in visualizing the flow of resources, such as money, energy, or data, through different stages or categories. They could be used to illustrate cash flow, revenue distribution, and expense breakdowns in a more intuitive and engaging way.
By adding Sankey diagrams, Xero could offer users a more dynamic and insightful view of their financial data, helping them better understand how money moves through their business, leading to improved decision-making and reporting.

New GST report - Add attachment icon to RHS
It would be helpful if you could see if an attachment was uploaded - you could consider showing an Icon outside the RHS of each line., as something Every GST checker needs to do, is make sure they have the appropriate attached Invoice so they can claim the GST. In Xero, it is laborious to have to open each line and check if their is an attachment.

AU Payroll - List leave types in alphabetical order
Leave types: why aren't these in alphabetical order on the leave request screen?
I have numbered them so that they should appear in the order I want them, but they appear last. It's the same in Xero Me - I want the most used leave types to appear first, but the leave types appear in a random order.

UK VAT - Ability to enter VAT-only invoices
VAT Only Transactions - Xero to remove needless restriction to have VAT amount less than line total. This will allow posting zero net with VAT amount to 20%EXP VAT code with a total equal to the VAT total without having to reply on VAT on imports tax code.
2 votesHi community, we don't have any plans to remove change the behaviour here. However, to confirm you can enter a 100% VAT invoice and we have an article that details how to do this. Essentially, you'll enter the invoice using two transaction lines, which when followed will:
- Show a 100% VAT total on the invoice
- Have 0.00 effect on the account code balance.
Please note that both lines will show on the invoice PDF.

History & Notes - Enhance visibility of notes
Suggestion for Enhancing Note Visibility in Xero
When writing notes for any invoice, bill, or manual journal in Xero, the notes are typically placed in the History column. However, this makes them less visible to someone new who might review these documents. If these notes could be added as sticky notes at the top corners of the page, they would be more prominent and could help avoid potential mistakes caused by missing information. Additionally, creating an alert for anyone new accessing these documents would ensure they are aware of important notes. Highlighting these notes could further enhance visibility and capture attention more effectively.

Remittance Advice - Send multiple advices without using Batch Payments
Currently remittance advice can be sent based on payments. It is not possible to send multiple remittances at the same time without using the batch payment method.
As we have a lot to send, is it possible to look into some ways to send some remittance advice in a more efficient way for cases like with several payments to one person or multiple advice to multiple receivers? Or any automation for regular ones? Instead of downloading PDF one by one / sending email by payments one by one?

"Receive Payment" Right from the main manu
I would appreciate having an option in the + menu for quickly adding a customer payment. This small enhancement would save us precious time spent searching for customer names or invoices. I've included a screenshot from QBO showing how it looks.

joblogic integration
When syncing invoices from Joblogic to Xero, they post straight to approved status - can a feature be added so they can be posted to 'awaiting approval' to avoid dating errors on the invoices?
Thank you
