  1. We would love a client report showing the Industry as it is in the Xero Organisation Settings.

    Currently the report gives the Main Industry classification but not the Sub Category.

    For Example the HQ report would show a company industry is Construction but actually the company provides Electrical Services and there is no report to get this detail of all the clients.

  2. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  3. Report codes that are in the For Review category need a button so after changing the ones that need changing the rest can be marked as reviewed. Currently it looks like you have to click into each one to review it and no-one is going to have time do that when you can see most of them dont need changing.

    Its always an extra click to view all the report codes as Xero defaults you the the codes that are For Review. If they have all been reviewed we wouldnt have to do an extra click each time we want…

  4. Group Custom Fields - it would be very useful to be able to assign custom fields to groups rather than only contacts & individuals, then be able to report on these fields. This would help with areas such as marketing, estimated fee groups, and handover notes.

    We currently use the main billing entity but this would save a lot of time and improve efficiencies.

  5. When completing a tax return for foreign residents we needed to adjust the discount rate for the property that they had sold. Xero had no way for us to change the discount percentage so we said that we used the other method to not include discount and then added the discount we should be able to claim to the costs in the Capital Gain Worksheet. As per Xero Support this was the only solution. Can you please incorporate a way for us to change the discount rate of a CGT event?

  6. Timesheet view and function similar to outlook calendar. Where it shows your timesheet entries like meetings on your calendar.

    1. It would be quick and easy to identify gaps you are missing
    2. Being able to drag them to extend or reduce entries
    3. Being able to copy and paste an entry. Make for faster input.

  9. Bank connections page allowing you to view all clients' bank feed statuses in one central location and easily update the connections for your clients in one go rather than navigating to each client’s account.

  11. We have some clients that have multiple businesses under their personal names. Can we please have individual worksheets for each business to input income and expenses which then automatically totals into the business schedule in the main form?

    At the moment in XERO tax, we need to put the grand totals into the business schedule, then split the amounts across the businesses for each expense/income line item. This is not practical as we generally receive separate figures for each business, not a grand total.

  12. XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.

    I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.

  13. It would be extremely helpful if there was an option to set multiple lock dates for various clients at once, so that we don't have to go into each client separately each month. It would also be helpful to have this option on Xero HQ with a view to their current locked period as well.

  14. We have staff that need to see who the biller client is for a group however we do not want them being able to see staff timesheets.

    We would like the Access Financial data tab broken up to enable staff to see the billing client.

  15. XPM Timesheets/Timeclock - The ability for the saved time to be ordered from the most recent time to the first time entries of the day so you can quickly see when you last entered time, as a start point. This saves a whole lot of scrolling if you have a lot of entries for the day.

    Hi everyone, as noted in the comments here with Single Client record and client lists now being the same across XPM and Xero HQ you could export your client list from Xero HQ and you'll in the export file there is a column for Organisation name.

    Appreciate this isn't directly within Xero atm, so we'll leave the idea open. We don't have any direct plans for developing this view in Xero right now, but we'll continue to track the appetite here and share if there's any change planned.

  18. It would be good if Xero Tax calculated the estimated PAYG instalment payable in SMSF Tax Returns as we use this to inform our clients of what amounts they are up for in the new financial year, a very important piece of information for them to consider re timing and amount of cashflow outgoings. Xero Tax does it for individuals so not sure how difficult it would be to make it apply for all entities subject to the PAYG Instalment system.

  19. The ability to bulk update staff access to client tax returns in xero tax. Currently, the only way to change staff access to certain clients in the xero tax feature is to go into each client file and change it individually. A bulk update function would be more efficient and less time consuming.

  20. It would be great if you can automate the ticking in of this 'ATOmate Fee For Service' (under client details) whenever 'Deduct fee from refund' is selected on the tax return currently in process. And if in the next financial year's tax return it is no longer fee from refund, 'ATOmate Fee For Service' will automatically be unticked.
