  1. We have just been advised that we cannot allocate write off/on to jobs rather against individuals or apportioned across those who have charged time to the job. At times, jobs are short quoted for reasons and it's unfair to impact someone's recoverability due to business decisions. There has to be a way to record such write offs without impacting staff or teams time directly rather recoverability of the job.

  2. The recurring job search is sensitive to macrons etc so clients are not showing up when you search. This is unlike the client search which picks up the client whether there are macrons or not.

    Thanks for your interest in product ideas and sharing on the search for Jobs with us here, Jean. Appreciate why you'd like search results to show whether or not a special character like a macron has been entered for the search.

    While we don't have immediately plans around this we'll keep an eye on the interest for this here, and share if any plans are made.

  3. Hi,

    Would be great if we had the ability to stop provisional tax letters being generated for non-clients if their IRD numbers are entered into XPM. This creates a lot more work during prov tax times as the list is long and needs to be reviewed so these letters are not accidently sent.

  4. Add Last Items on Hubdoc invoices - lines to be populated in the same order as the previous one. And/or enable the function to rearrange the line items on a multiple line invoice in Hubdoc (like you can in Xero).

  5. Audit trail to see who has created / amended / deleted custom reports. We had a situation where a report was deleted and unable to identify who had inadvertently done this.

  6. Hi,

    For the Profit and Loss data (Revenue/ Expense/ Net Profit), should be an option to select last month as currently it's bringing up mid month data and comparing with full month information (ie. running the report 20th October and comparing with either full month Sep 2024 or full month October 2024. A lot of clients invoice end of month or after month end so adds little comparison value.

    For Cash Balances, ability to select which bank accounts are displayed might be worth considering. Currently showing loans, which skews the information into negative.

  7. In Individual income tax returns, where an individual received a trust distribution, the trust name appears to show the Trust's TFN in the name in the trust distribution income section. It will be great if the hiding TFN feature includes the hiding of TFN in this distribution income section as well.

  8. There should be an arrow on the Date Selection box to load next equal period. If the original period was one month, there should be an arrow to load next month in just one click - and a back arrow. Same for a year selected, or a quarter.

  9. I feel like a dedicated feedback board would be useful. As I don't feel there is currently an appropriate place to give feedback and notify support of things that are not working properly.
    For example, I have the new GST returns to trial and there was an actual feedback box in Xero. Where i gave the feedback that i liked the new features but not the look. Now the feedback box is gone and I have just noticed that it tells you that there are unreconciled lines to code. But, they are for the next GST period. Plus the old…

  10. Sync clients grouped in Xero Green to Xero Blue. Currently groups can be created in Xero Green and Xero Blue independently but are not synced or linked. It would be efficient and helpful to sync the groupings we have created in Xero Green across to Xero Blue.

  11. For the first year of using Xero Tax, as the returns are new and have not been rolled over from a prior year, the contact name defaults to the Job Manager in the Xero Tax Return. There should be an option to adjust the contact default across the practice so that the Tax Agent/Practice name appears on the tax return not the job manager.   13. This is not a simple feature request. This is a blatant fault with how Xero Tax handles asset figures.

    In this particular case we have two accounts in the book-keeping records for CIS tax, because we wish to track CIS deducted by contracted on sales and CIS deducted from subcontractors separately. Transfers are made between the accounts as appropriate when liabilities are reported for payment to HMRC.

    At the year end, we want to show this as a single balance. As the net result was an asset at the year end, we tagged both to an appropriate asset type. Instead…

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is aware of the challenges our partners are facing around the auto-reversal of negative balance. It’s on their roadmap to investigate and provide a better user experience.

  16. There are client level fields for phone and fax numbers. We have not had a fax machine in the office for a number of years. and it would be more useful to have these fields nominated as landline and mobile numbers. Consideration would have to be given to how this meshes into FYIDocs and FuseSign as FuseSign has issues if the phone number field does not meet its defined parameters.

  17. Allowing for exported excel reports to have an option to open hyperlinks. For example, being able to open the ledger of the expenses of a line item from the Profit and Loss statement, or being able to open the Aged Details of a customer by clicking on the link of the Aged Summary excel report, or being able to open the invoice by clicking on the link in the excel of the Aged Details reports. It's great that there is now the option to finalise and create a bill on a BAS...however that is not the default choice for Tax & BAS Agents so it would be nice if the big button was to FINALISE the BAS and the small button with the option to create the bill. Leave it as default in the linked to ATO BAS (lodge and create bill) but for BAS that aren't being lodged in Xero directly it's not helpful.

  19. Partner Status - recently we handed over some Xero subscriptions to our clients to pay directly. Instead of gaining extra points for our Xero status, our points have gone down. I'd like to be able to see under each partner points section a dropdown menu of the client names and points per client. This will also help me keep on top of our Xero recharges in case a client moves from one tier to another.

  20. There is a difference in functionality between D5 and D8 in the AU individual tax return form. When deductions are entered in D5, the default deductible percentage is 100%, and whatever percentage is entered here (eg 40% phone) is rolled over when the tax return rolls over to the next year.

    In D8, the default deductible percentage is 0% (inconsistent with D5, easy to miss when quickly completing a tax return, requires you to manually type '100%' every line item - why would you enter a 0% deduction?) and the manually entered percentage does not roll over to the next…
