Practice Manager - Bulk Job Name Update
Currently, there’s no functionality in Xero Practice Manager to edit job names in bulk. This would be an extremely useful function for us. For example, we have a large number of Client Services jobs which need updating and without a bulk update function we need to do this manually, job by job which takes far too long.
13 votesHi team, we appreciate your input to product ideas. While we don't have plans for bulk update of Job names right now, I wanted to share some work we've recently released for other bulk actions.
You can now update the Priority, State, Start date, Due date, Staff, Manager or Partner for multiple jobs at once. Select the jobs from the Job Manager page, click 'Bulk actions' and choose the action you'd like to make.
We'll continue to track the interest for other bulk actions for jobs and share if there is any news for you, here. Thanks

Practice manager | Clients - History (new clients and amendments)
Currently is it not possible to generate an exception report showing new clients added during the previous month, quarter or year. This is an important piece of reporting for CRM purposes. Similarly, it would be nice to generate an exception report showing client changes with appropriate attribute filters.

Practice Manager | Timesheet - Manage job status
It would be a great help if we could update status for a job as and when the timesheet is done.
At the moment we go to each job and update the status at the end of the day. In my opinion this would save lot my time hovering around.

Currently only have a shortcut for search (forward slash) in XPM, would like more shortcuts (like there are in Blue Xero) - eg:

Practice Manager - Add date to apply custom task rates
Custom task rate - although the charge out rate can be amended for individual tasks for a member of staff, there is no "from" date that can be specified so it is applied to all un-invoiced WIP. It would therefore be very useful to be able to have the ability to put in a date from when the new rate should be applied.

Practice Manager - Set which fields are mandatory on client profile
It would be great to be able to customise if the fields are mandatory or not for new client setups. This would allow us to ensure that the fields we need setup are being setup by the admin team.

Practice Settings | Time & Productivity - Option to show Saturday/Sunday
Change Capacity under Settings/Practice to allow for Saturday and Sunday so that on the Dashboard for Time Summary the time entered on Saturday and Sunday shows and is reflected in the Productivity circle on the Dashboard

XPM - Relationships - Add Share Class Type
The ability to add share class in relationships.
Currently you can only add the number of shares.
However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

Practice Manager | Invoicing - Multi tick box option for custom fields
Have a multi tick box option for custom fields to be able to select more than one option.
i.e. we are a multi disciplinary accounting firm and offer multi different services such as advisory, tax, bookkeeping etc and won't to be able to identify what the client has engaged us for [frequently it's more than one service]7 votes -

Practice Manager - Delete multiple jobs
Delete Multiple Jobs. When you want to cancel/delete a job, you have to do this one by one. This is okay but if you have like 30 BAS jobs from x client, it is a pain to delete one by one.

XPM - Separate set of state for different jobs
Improving XPM Workflow Capabilites with Seperate & Specific Job States & Automation Triggers
Seperate set of state for different job templates/workflows. XPM currently only has one set of job states. there should be the ability to have multiple for different jobs. These states should also be able to be transferred into a kanban board view and when the job state is changed either by drag & drop or dropdown certain automated actions should be triggered such as automated emails or deploying client or internal forms to be completed etc. At the moment the XPM's workflow capabiliteis are extremely limited.

XPM - Add Pause button
When using the start button in the timesheets in XPM to track time on a job, the option for a pause button to pause your time, then to unpause and keep recording your time.
158 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the continued interest in the timer in Practice Manager. As mentioned in my last update, work for a Pause option would require a lot of work, and it's not something we have plans for right now.
However, we understand this is important to our customers and when our team have more capacity we'll explore how we might develop solution for this.
We will keep let you know if there is any progression to share here.

XPM - Ability to change to-do list
Many of the to-do items under tasks aren't useful or applicable to us. We would love the ability to add meaningful to-do items to our tasks as a default, not on a job by job basis.

XPM - Apply Access Restrictions to Client tab
Similar to ability to restrict access to Xero Tax, its critical if we can have the ability to restrict access to certain client details. Currently you can search for any client details and there is no way to restrict access to this information. This functionality would be extra help for partners & staff members who are also clients of the firm.

XPM - Bulk edit Milestone
Bulk edit milestones
I am trying to utilise the Important Dates page in the Job Manager and there is older jobs that are clogging up the page with overdue milestones that no longer apply. How to I remove all of these in a bulk process? There is over 3000 milestones that need to be removed. Currently support has told me there is no way of doing this apart from deleting each milestone on each job one by one.15 votes -
