Xero HQ - Make Analytics and Analytics Plus available in HQ
Why is Xero Analytics and Analytics Plus not available for Xero partners within Xero HQ? Is this currently in consideration because it would be extremely useful to promote to existing clients who are currently using other BI tools that have no API connectivity with Xero and making the financial analysis process much more complex than it should be?

Xero Tax (UK) | Automatic calculation of farmers averaging adjustment
Farmers averaging schedule on personal tax. This is an averaging adjustment over 5 trading years and is essential for our farming clients.
42 votesHi everyone, as Charlotte has mentioned below, this is not a feature we are currently planning to introduce due to other commitments. However, we will continue to monitor this ticket.
In the meantime, as a workaround, the adjustment can be manually entered in both the self employment and partnership schedule.

Group details update - sync to other programs
When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

Hubdoc - Extract all line item details including inventory items
Extract not only basic information like dates, names, etc., but also line items for less manual entry or having to find outside apps to do it.

Reports - Summary breakdown on VAT report
I would like to see on the front sheet of the VAT report a Summary break-down by VAT code showing Total, Net and VAT by each VAT category.

Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.
Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders. Job Manager - Add ability to filter by Year
Would like to be able to add a new custom column in Job Manager so we can filter by Year or Job Name.

Hubdoc - Extract description
Once the file is uploaded to Hubdoc, it effectively becomes a JPEG once at the review screen, this means you can not copy paste or grab contents from within the document and you will have to either open up the PDF on a separate screen or edit it within Xero.
It would be great if the description could also be extracted - OR allow the document to be copied/stay a PDF to be able to copy. This will reduce human errors when entering data. Thank you.

Xero Tax (UK) - Ability to bulk update format of director name
In Xero Tax, you should be able to change the name format for all directors even if they've been appointed after the Accounts Year End. Currently if you've changed the name format for directors previously from 'SURNAME, Name' to 'Name Surname' when a new director is appointed post year end, they are brought into the company information page with 'SURNAME Name' format and there is no ability to change the format to 'Name Surname' to match the others so you then need to change the other directors to 'SURNAME Name' format to match. Xero HQ - Feature to identify Restricted or Confidential clients
Need to be able to better identify restricted / confidential clients and have controls in place to not give all staff access to these Xero blue files - currently we need to use manual methods (e.g. add "Restricted" in the client name, and add them to a "Restricted" client group), but this is highly prone to human error, and requires extra steps.
Further, the new Single Client Record function will prevent us from adding "restricted" to the client record name.
This function will need to incorporate the ability to filter out these confidential client ledgers when giving new staff access.

XPM - Ability to raise final invoice
Currently only able to raise progress job invoice in client. abilitiy to raise both progress and final invoice would be better than having to go to invoicing to raise final invoice.

AU Tax - Depreciation Schedules unlinked
Ability to have separate and unlinked depreciation schedules available in Xero Tax a still print a depreciation report would be very useful. At times there is no requirement to link a depreciation schedule to a particular area with the tax return (it may not be relevant for the current year however is required in future years) or the schedules relates to two areas within the tax return. I have circumstances where rental assets has differing ownership percentages which causes a nightmare using the current depreciation processes.

XPM - Sample Reports Search
When using the report builder in XPM and going into the samples tab - there is a lot of reports and it can be quite overwhelming. Tags for types of reports / ways to search / filter the list would be a great addition for being able to work out the sample report that would be most beneficial to build out for my needs.

NZ Tax - Remove 901D sample templates from dropdown menu
We would like to be able to hide or remove the Xero sample letter templates as an option in the Tax Payments page. We would like to remove them so that tax admin staff don't accidentally use those templates instead of our custom branded templates.

Reports - Sort Activity Statement "Transactions by Rate" by account code
The ability to sort Activity Statement "Transactions by Rate" report by 'account code'. This makes the detailed report much easier to review and pick up mistakes. MYOB has always had this function and it is a good time saver. Much easier to look through the report

Practice manager - XPM to Xero contact fields
Have logged this support query, which I also raised a number of years ago and cannot believe how this has not been fixed. Answer from support below:
In XPM there is no first and last name field for contacts, rather it is just one box for the Name field. While in Xero there are two fields to put a contacts first and last name separately.
So when a contact on a client syncs from XPM into Xero it is placed into the Last Name field as it recognises the name as one field. Currently, the only way to resolve this…

Workpapers - Page numbering that works with auditors reports
When preparing annual financial statements and performance reports for auditors, it is important that the contents page and accountant's disclaimer report come before the statements that the auditor needs to refer to in their audit opinion, so that they report on pages 5 to 17, not 5 to 7 and 9 to 17. It causes unnecessary costs to both accountants and auditors each year to change round and get this done manually.
