  1. It would be really useful to be able to apply rounding adjustment (similar to those on the SOCE) for items in the accounts, but done on the face of the accounts. For example a use of home allowance will be a journaled amount each year, usually the same year on year. On a large number of accounts that i have produced recently this is rounded up one year and then rounded down the next year. This makes the accounts look messy and no amount of journaling the figures on the trial balance (which wastes significant time) will get this to…

  3. Ability to be able to report on the date sent for Xerosign returns. The date sent is recorded but you can't report on it. This would make follow ups a lot easier to be able to see when each out to sign return was sent for e-signing.

  4. Revise Activity Statement / IAS via Xero when a client has lodged their own IAS/BAS. It would be beneficial for tracking purposes if Xero offered the facility to unlock a submitted BAS/IAS to review & amend and relodge with the ATO. Whilst these can be revised via ATO Portal there is no tracking or record of an amendment in Xero

  5. If you currently want to edit a line on the to do list you have to create a new line and enter the data, than delete the previous item.
    It would be great if we could have an edit function on the to do list so we did have to add the extra step of recreation

  7. It should be possible to manually add tax payments made by a client to IRD. This is critical for a tax accountant like myself who is not a registered tax agent and therefore is unable to link and download details from IRD. This facility would make the practice manager more appealing to a wider range of users.

  9. Include "Statements" in the XPM Business\Settings\Personalisation - Email Sending Settings section so that emailed customer/client statements are sent from the practice and not the individual staff member email address who may happen to have emailed out a customer/client statement.

  10. Prior year workpapers - would you be able to change colour for financial years for workpapers. I refer to prior year workpapers to complete a job. It would be helpful to have different colours for current and prior year Xero workpapers to avoid confusion when both open at once.

  11. We have an abundance of deregistered clients/entities in our client list. We would like the option of archiving these clients, but if they are still linked through the group, then they still show up under the group profile - but maybe in a separate section, so the group profile could list current clients and archived clients.

    Ideally, we want to archive them because they aren't an existing client anymore, however, we would still like them to be visible/searchable with the client data, so we can see their historical entities and for other reasons.

  12. We have lots of Xero systems that belong to one client, one of their admin employees left and we had to remove their e-mail address from each Xero system manually. It would be much easier if we had users' directory and be able to filter by e-mail address and remove people much easier from the associated companies.

  14. The old version of profit & loss will retire in 31 July. However, the departmental combination report is really helpful. As per attachment, it compares the performance of each department on one page. It is much easier to use and review the performance. Currently, no other report has the same function.

    The new version of p&l also has the function to filter the p&l for each department. However, there is no combination report as the old version.

    It would be really helpful to have a combined departmental report as the old version of p&l.

  16. At present you have to enable indvidual currencies in Xero settings to allow a purchase receipt in this currency to go through from Hubdoc. If the currency is not pre-set up in Xero then the default is that that the purchase invoice reverts to GBP which means that you then have to reset the currency in Xero. If all currencies were automatically enable for Premium subscriptions this would be avoided and would not rely on each individual currency being manually added to Xero.

  17. Add a TPAR tax form in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) so that we can generate signing pages like we can with a BAS or PSAR. When lodging via a client's Xero file or the ATO portal, we tick a box to say we have a declaration from the client, authorising us to lodge their TPAR, but there seems to be no report we can print to show them what we're going to lodge, nor signing pages that they can sign, so meeting this declaration requirement is proving difficult.

  19. When preparing the statutory accounts in Xero Tax it would be great to have the feature to create your own "freeform note". For example, I need to add a secured debts note to the accounts however Xero does not currently provide this note amongst the list, therefore I need a freeform note where I can determine the heading and body of the note to feature in the notes to the financial statements. Currently the workaround is to declare the secured debts note as a line with the creditors which makes the presentation of the accounts weak.

    Hi team, reviewing this idea our team are exploring the possibility of adding the ability to add a number of Freeform Notes in some of the Financial statements for FRS102 1a as part of our plans to improve the Notes & Disclosures and offer greater flexibility.   20. Would like the option to input IF fields into our tax returns like we can in Activity Statements. I have found I have so much more scope in editing my cover letters by putting in IF fields (eg IF the amount is payable, put in the line about the payment details. IF the due date is already past, replace the date with 'As soon as possible' etc)
    It would be great in general to see more functionality in the cover letters - especially more merge field options, IF fields, and other extra lines depending on certain criteria within the return…
