  2. We would like to be able to run a listing of physical payments made to IRD by clients over a date range that shows the client name, IRD number, payment date recorded by IRD, tax type and the tax period/year that it was applied to.

    This would enable us to easily identify when clients pay tax to the wrong period.

We have many individual clients who don't have a company or trust etc. Can there be a salutations field that can be used specifically for addressing them in invoices and tax letters that doesn't affect where they stand in the alphabetical order of things? If we update their display name, all of those clients would be under 'M' for Miss, Mrs, Ms or Mr rather that their first or last name which then throws reporting if you're looking for someone in particular in a list of people.   4. Please make currency codes in dropdown menu in item 20 ITR display alphabetically (what psychopath decided it was a good idea to put them in a random order?). Also, it should have built-in exchange rates based on ATO average and year end data with the ability to select a methodology (i.e. Actual, Average, or Year End).

  6. In Canada it is common to have January 1, 20XX as the fiscal year end date instead of December 31, 20XX. As a result, the Sales Tax Reports are unable to be utilized because even though I can have my fiscal year end matching in Xero, it won't let me run the report based on custom dates - for example, if I have a quarterly filer that has a January 1, 20XX fiscal year end, then the Q1 period is going to be January 2 to April 1 and it would be due May 1 - and not Jan 1…

  7. Why is Xero Analytics and Analytics Plus not available for Xero partners within Xero HQ? Is this currently in consideration because it would be extremely useful to promote to existing clients who are currently using other BI tools that have no API connectivity with Xero and making the financial analysis process much more complex than it should be?

  11. Currently only able to raise progress job invoice in client. abilitiy to raise both progress and final invoice would be better than having to go to invoicing to raise final invoice.

  12. I would greatly appreciate the option to easily print or download only the pages of a tax return that requires the client's signature, without including the entire document. This feature would be particularly valuable for accountants who frequently need just the signature pages from multiple tax returns. Currently, the process of manually extracting these pages using another software is quite time-consuming.

  13. Suggestion for development - We continually have problems with WFF transfers to associated entities. We have tried phoning IRD to put a halt on the account, then follow up with secure mail advising what transfers are required - however more often than not the halt is not implemented correctly. Would be great if Xero could implement something (even a tick box identifying transfers required) that would then trigger at IRD for them to hold funds pending transfer. Alternatively the WFF credit could be added into the tax returns, and transfers done via the return. (I have worked with other tax…

  14. Please could we update the Corporation tax Working paper in the UK in Working papers for Marginal tax relief.

    It's fairly useless without it as the final figure does not agree at all to the value of the CT. Unless it's fudged and then you can't see the computation.

  15. Can you please add a tool for importing Bank Transfers to the conversion Toolbox. When there are more than two bank accounts, trying to work out the Bank account to transfer to, is a bit hit and miss, causing significant rework.

  17. I would like a tax screen similar to the jobs, where I can see clients tax return status, taxes owing and overdue returns. It would be useful to have the option to update a client's return to show as not required or Auto Assess.

  18. Primary issue:
    If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.

    Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
    - We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
    - This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements
    - This also creates a massive privacy breach risk for unauthorized access under PIPEDA (Canada) and PIPA (Alberta)

  19. In any particular Xero account, you can review the history notes (essentially an audit log), however we do not seem to have the ability to audit a particular staff member's activity across all clients.

    This would be useful if you have a particular firm employee making the same mistake across multiple reconciliations. You could see their access/activity log to know which clients you needed to review. Or if you simply needed to know every client the employee has touched in a certain timeframe.

  20. It would be great if you could add the standard compare tracking caterogies P&L to the management reports pack. At present, the only way to get it into the pack is to create a custom report, but this locks in the tracking categories selected and any future categories added are omitted.
