  2. When changing organisations, it would be great to see more than five.

    Suggest you show them all so we can scroll until we find the one one want, not just rely on using the search to type in the name of the organisation, if it doesn't appear in the current list of five

  3. the function to search for clients needs to be easier (similar to the search function) when you are trying to run reports in XPM. It is tiring to go through 3,000 clients on a list to select the one I want to view as the function to run reports only allows me to type the first initial.
    It takes us almost 5-6mins to run a simple report

  4. Have the ability for each user to assign their location and name against invoices in XPM to automatically track across to Xero Blue.

    Currently has per job / task the function to track this but it only allows 1 selection for each.

    The staff have been creating invoices in XPM then have to go into Xero blue to assign the location and staff.

  5. Being able to pick specific due dates for recurring jobs, rather than having to select per day/week/month. BAS & IAS due dates will be different depending on how many days in the month there are.

  6. Would be great if we could sort by staff in the WIP Ledger reports. We can select staff it in the fields but not criteria. Would be good to provide reports to managers for their staff only.

  7. It would be extremely helpful to be able to view and report on how much of the budget is left on a job.

    Reports in XPM focus on time rather than WIP and there are no standard reports that include job budgets. I want to be able to report on how much of the budget is left on a job without having to export to excel and run a formula.

    MYOB had a great Job Manager and you could view all jobs on one screen and see the budget and what budget left and if there was more WIP than…

  8. Please incorporate myxero into practice manager. at the moment there are MyXero, XeroHQ, XPM and XeroBlue all have different but similar settings, which makes thing very confusing.

  9. The ability to post be posted from Xero to XPM based on the invoice line rather than per invoice.
    We have a monthly fee that goes out to clients from Xero that has two invoice lines, one being the consulting fee and the second being a software subscription fee. We would love the consulting fee line to post to the "Ad Hoc" job and then have the subscription line go to a new job called "software recovery".

  10. We are a firm of accountants and have a number of husband and wife landlord clients who own rental property jointly.

    Will one version of the software be able to split the rental figures and submit two MTD returns, or will they need their own version of the software each and have to manually halve the figures where the income is paid into one joint bank account?

    It would be so much easier if the software could automatically halve the figures and submit two MTD returns.

  11. The Pre-fill has capital losses noted in it, so it would be great if the pre-fill amount was reflected rather than relying on roll forward information. Seems to be commonly missed with new clients.

  13. The current livestock schedule in trust tax return (and probably others) is insufficient.

    We calculate livestock on Market Value in the Financials and inset these figures into the Tax Return, then use the Reconciliation area to bring it back to Average Cost.

    This worked perfectly fine in MYOB Tax, as we could overwrite the average cost calculation in the livestock trading schedule. However in Xero Tax we can't overwrite the closing stock value.

  14. In Xero HQ as a partner we have Report Templates which we can use for our clients. Currently, it only allows us to export to PDF or Excel or Google Sheets.

    It would be useful. helpful and beneficial for practitioners to be able to export it to WORD format so that we can re-format the font type, font size and header and footer styles..

  15. Can we make it possible to amend the 'Shareholders' funds' heading on the statutory balance sheet for companies Limited by Guarantee.

Hopefully there will be an editable field / automatic tick box in the Cover Letter for the Tax Returns where the Trustee for the Trust is a Company (Corporate Trustee) where we can put the name/s of the client in the Salutation and not the Corporate Trustee. Our tax returns would show "Dear Company Name" which sounds / looks wrong instead of "Dear Individual Name"

  17. It would be great to show the lock dates from each client's Xero file in HQ. Visually, it would be very similar to the Year End column, and likely not enabled by default.

    This would allow Advisors to easily identify clients that don't have prior periods locked, and then go into those files and correct it. This would increase usage of this important data protection feature and reduce errors caused by inadvertent prior period adjustments.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate everyone who signed up and participated in the teams discovery here. Right now, focus has needed to shift to other high priority work.

    We value all the input and feedback we've received from the teams discovery, and based on this they found that there is more work needed in solving this for our customers.

    We have good foundations to build from when we are able to bring attention back to this. For now we will move back to submitted and let you know when there is progression to share.

    Hi Debbie, the 'waiting approval' report only contains unapproved letters. And the field you've references would only contain payments 'since approval' so even if included, would always be 0.00.

    Could you share a little detail of any underlying pain point you're looking for this idea to help you solve? It'd help in sharing back with the team and considering how this could be tackled. Thanks!
