  1. On the foreign income page on self assessment on Xero Tax, I do not have the function to complete boxes 33 to 40 in order to enter foreign capital gains tax suffered.

  2. We suggest to add the option to view TAX return versions when modifications are made to the return.
    We have found through our work that is an URGENT need to track changes made to returns for efficient audit and accountability.

  3. When posting the CT charge for the year, Xero Tax defaults to the 500 code in Xero. Not all our clients use this. Is there a way of reverting to the blank accounts codes so we can change this per client? Thanks

  5. With the change in the NZ tax legislation it would be great if we could have a "deemed settlor" as a relationship which can be different to the settlor as recorded in the trust deed

    Also would there be any way to include a relationship for the power of attorney - a number of clients have these and it is handy to be able to actually set them as a relationship instead of just as a contact

  6. It is not really Xero HQ, it is in MyXero dashboard and in subscriptions where you can input a client code. This is the code that then shows on the CSV file attached to the monthly Xero bill for client subscriptions. At the moment this client code can only be input manually. We really need the ability to export client subscription list and re-import with a client code so that it would make allocating client Xero files for billing easier each month.   8. I have two situations where the billing in the financial part of the system was being charged by staff rate instead of by task rate. I am not sure why this occurred - possibly human error. So I created new jobs and tried to move the paid progress invoices to the new jobs but it isn't possible. Is there any way that we can move invoices in XPM from one job to another?

  9. In XPM Report Builder, for "Monthly Summary" report types, there needs to be an option added for 12 months of data to report.

    This would allow a full financial year's worth of data to be summarised monthly where required.

  10. A report showing which clients are using which bank feeds.
    This would allow easy updates to client and internally when we become aware of a bank feed causing duplications or other errors.

  12. Using notifications are a great way to communicate on a job and keeping the history of the same. One frustration I have is when a new note is created I get a notification to tell me a new note has been added but I do not know what the subject of the new notification is from my on screen notification. This can be a problem as some notifications take only a few moments of my time whilst others require me to set aside a substantial amount of time, but I cant tell which it is from the on screen notification.…

  13. Xero Sign Address book or similar

    Would be great if Xero sign had some form of memory or address book for people who had previously signed, rather than having to input the details each time.

    Whether is was linked to practice manager or just within Xero sign, it would save time having to look up client email addresses, and possible typos in names/emails!

  14. Dear Support, it would be very handy to have a report so that we can ascertain the status of a clients AS. I know that there is the visual on the status bar. But if you do not have the AS an automated process, for workflow purposes, it would be good to know that is a client is scheduled to has an AS completed, that in fact, this has been completed in the workflow.   15. We, as a tax agent, would find it extremely useful if we could set a default payment letter template for each client - maybe have a selection option on the client page. Then when we send out bulk payment letters we know they are going to receive the correct details each time.

    Hi everyone, as Charlotte has mentioned below, this is not a feature we are currently planning to introduce due to other commitments. However, we will continue to monitor this ticket.

    In the meantime, as a workaround, the adjustment can be manually entered in both the self employment and partnership schedule.

  18. In personal tax there appears to be no provision to enter capital allowance for self employment in the form of a schedule which personal tax can keep year to year. This would help when writing down existing assets as well as adding and claiming for new assets differentiating the assets between main pool/special rate pool and assets with a personal use element to enter the percentage to apply.

    Hi everyone, Xero is committed to supporting the tracking of capital allowances claimed on capital expenditure. We understand how this will save with partners and remove manual tracking of written down allowances. At the moment we don't have confirmed date when this will be picked up, but as soon as we do we will let you know here.

  19. It would be great if the equity workpaper allowed for current year P&L reserve. This allows you to double check once the dividends are posted that the Equity section is not negative.
