Practice Manager - Ability to archive deregistered clients in group profiles
We have an abundance of deregistered clients/entities in our client list. We would like the option of archiving these clients, but if they are still linked through the group, then they still show up under the group profile - but maybe in a separate section, so the group profile could list current clients and archived clients.
Ideally, we want to archive them because they aren't an existing client anymore, however, we would still like them to be visible/searchable with the client data, so we can see their historical entities and for other reasons.

AU Tax - Return Lodgment report
to run a report that pulls the History of tax returns into it, including:
1. Staff member who prepared the return, and date prepared.
2. Staff member who lodged the return, and date lodged
Currently if we run the report builder, it only can show account manager's name, it doesn't seem to have the option to show lodgment person's name.8 votes -
Practice Manager | Jobs - Open recurring job on completion of previous job
It would be great to have the option for a recurring job to open upon the previous recurring job closing. The current options for when recurring jobs open are very limited.

XPM | Client Titles & Pronouns
XPM does not cater for titles for non-binary individuals. We have an individual who is non-binary. Their title is MX. This is currently not an option that is available in the Title drop down menu. Can this be added by Xero please?

Xero HQ | Ask - Add more greetings placeholders, including given name
It would be good to have more flexible saluations in Ask covering emails, particularly when asking for information for personal tax.Being able to use the given name for someone, for example, (as per most emails that peope send) would be a good start.

Xero HQ | Report Template - export to MS Word
In Xero HQ as a partner we have Report Templates which we can use for our clients. Currently, it only allows us to export to PDF or Excel or Google Sheets.
It would be useful. helpful and beneficial for practitioners to be able to export it to WORD format so that we can re-format the font type, font size and header and footer styles..

Xero Tax(AU) - Audit Trail for changes to a tax return
We suggest to add the option to view TAX return versions when modifications are made to the return.

Practice Manager | Report Builder - 12 month option in Monthly Summary reports
In XPM Report Builder, for "Monthly Summary" report types, there needs to be an option added for 12 months of data to report.
This would allow a full financial year's worth of data to be summarised monthly where required.

AU Tax: Colour code text to distinguish between refundable and payable amounts
Just a simple one, but it has something I've spoken to many Xero account managers over the years.
When preparing a tax return, you currently see an amount payable or amount refundable in text, and the dollar amount in bold black next to it.
I feel that it would be a simple, yet positive change, to have the dollar value display in green when there is an amount refundable, or red when there is an amount payable. Xero HQ | Document packs - Record of messages sent
Currently once the document pack is sent you can't see the message that you have sent the client. It would be good to be able to see what you have told them- especially if you are providing them with additional information but you don't want to have to do a separate email.

AU Tax - Ability to have unlinked depreciation schedules
I would find it very useful to have an unlinked depreciation schedules in Xero Tax. Including amortisation schedules for borrowing costs and also assets that are used for business and employment purposes creates efficiency by including it in the return.

Xero Tax (UK) | Audit Report Inclusion
We have a number of sets of accounts that have been prepared under FRS102 1A but do still require an audit in the UK as the group as a whole exceeds more than 2 of the thresholds. There is currently no way to simply toggle on an auditors report, with additional free type text fields to file these via Xero Tax, which would be nice to be able to do and save us requiring another piece of software altogether for these clients.

Xero HQ - Add incorporation date
When a business incorporates we cannot add the date of incorporation and therefore cannot print reports for the first year correctly without further work. For first year accounts can you look to make it so that we can have an extended first year

Hubdoc - Ability to download documents by folder or by Tag
Hubdoc allows you to download all documents in a folder, and Hubdoc also allows you to download to CSV some document metadata. It would be very useful if Hubdoc had the ability to download documents by folder or by Tag, and further, if Hubdoc had the ability to download the Tags associated with a document when downloading the metadata.

Personal Tax (UK) | Xero Payroll Integration
When completing employment earnings and benefits from Xero Payroll into Xero Tax, it would be really useful to have the two linked. This reduces repetitive tasks and reduces input error.

However, we will continue to monitor this. In the meantime, we are in the process of adding integration with HMRC to pull employment data for all individuals.

Allow upload of Excel (.xls .xlsx) document.

Practice Manager | Group Profile - Select & view group information
Would love to see features to the group profile. Even if they were custom tabs from the business settings (so it applies to all groups). Some ideas are:
Group information - could be a list of the clients and their partner, manager, class, etc (would be great if each firm could select what client details they want to include from their business settings).

Hubdoc - Extract tax amount from the invoice
Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice
Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.
20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

UK Tax - For CT600 box 326 to be left blank but be a compulsory field
I think to reduce the risk of associated companies not being included in the CT600 in error box 326 should be left blank by Xero but compulsory so that that the return can not be generated without it.

Hubdoc - Mark purchases as Paid once reconciled in Xero
When the transaction is reconciled to a Bill that's been uploaded from HubDoc in Xero, it should mark the document as Paid in HubDoc. (Google's AI-generated answer says that this happens, but it doesn't on my account). That way it would be much easier to see in HubDoc which items still aren't reconciled
Specifically, if a document is
1) published as "Purchased, Awaiting Payment", and published to Xero
2) that bill is then reconciled to a transaction in Xero, so that bill is shown as Paid and linked to Hubdoc
