  1. At the moment Xero doesn't have a list of clients in alphabetical order when I go into Staff to amend access. With over 200 clients, it is taking a long time to sort it all out, even if I use the search box.
    Please include functionality so that the client list in Staff is in alphabetical order by default, the same as it was in My Xero staff.
    I would also like to see a number value next to the staff member's name showing how many clients they have access to. Again, similar to the set up in My Xero…

  2. Report Fields
    Would be nice to be able to auto populate the net profit into new reports as older report packs did.

    The older report packs had a net profit before tax / net profit after tax field option how has an "upgrade" to new report lost this feature?

  4. Currently there is no definitive link between posted documents and the Journal Report. Having the Document reference will simplify examination of the audit trail.

  5. It would be wonderful if we could transfer interest, dividends, annual trust distribution information, and capital gains between a husband and wife (or partners etc) when the accounts are held 50/50 or 1/3 25% etc without having to re-enter the schedule into the other party's tax return.

    Link the partners together like it does with a rental schedule.

  6. Is it possible to have a "heads up" on what changes are being planned.
    For example, the procedure for client deletions has just been changed so that a client with IRD Number/Tax Return cannot be deleted, with no notification to us as users that the change was being contemplated, let alone actually happened.
    This then leaves us asking for the change to be undone.
    If been advised beforehand, could have suggested options which be suitable to all parties and mean that reprogramming is not required.

  7. I would love to see Hubdoc Convert an ATB Statement. This is a Alberta Canada Bank but it is a very widely used bank by small businesses. This would be useful for any businesses/ accounting firms or bookkeepers in Alberta

  8. I have moved to Xero Tax from Reckon Elite, but just realised that Xero Tax does not have a Notification of formation of consolidated group schedule.

    As a tax agent, it is crucial to have this schedule to update client's consolidation status, including updating joining/leaving subsidiaries.

    It would be great if this can be added as quickly as possible.

  9. Hi
    We're enjoying the new Job Manager screen in XPM but would love it even more if there was a value column added to show the $$ amount of the time budget. For example, it's great to know there's still 30% available time but what amount is left and more importantly if the time budget is 115% what is the amount over budget.

  10. When completing Bank Reconciliations (especially for those customers with 5+ bank accounts) it would be useful to see an indicator of Unreconciled Items in the drop-down list at the top left corner of the screen. This could either be the number of unreconciled items, or simply an asterisk to indicate there are items to be reconciled.

    I often use this drop-down to switch between their most-used bank accounts, but if there was something to indicate which accounts still have unreconciled items, this would be immensely helpful and save a lot of time switching back to the main Bank Accounts screen…

  11. This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.

    I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created…

  12. We suggest to add the option to view TAX return versions when modifications are made to the return.

  14. Just a simple one, but it has something I've spoken to many Xero account managers over the years.

    When preparing a tax return, you currently see an amount payable or amount refundable in text, and the dollar amount in bold black next to it.

    I feel that it would be a simple, yet positive change, to have the dollar value display in green when there is an amount refundable, or red when there is an amount payable. The colour system ensures that there can never been any mistake when quickly glancing at the dollar amount, for instance, when doing a…

WITH THE UPCOMING CHANGE IN CORPORATION TAX RATE (6/4/23) IT WOULD BE A NICE FEATURE IF THE PROFIT ALLOCATION IN ACCOUNTING YEARS STRADLING THE TAX YEAR END COULD BE TOGGLED BETWEEN "ALLOCATION ON DAYS" AND "ACTUAL ACCOUNTS" SO THAT THE MOST BENEFICIAL TREATMENT COULD BE USED FOR CLIENTS NEXT YEAR (IE USING THE METHOD THAT PUTS THE LARGEST SHARE OF THE PROFIT INTO THE PERIOD UPTO 5/4/23) - NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 04/2023 YEAR ENDS AND AFTER

  17. There is no option to export a group of clients appearing on the screen. We have different managers managing different groups of xero clients and they need to see this rather than export the whole client list and having to sort on excel

  18. When a client uploads or emails a file to the Xero files area of their own subscription, it would be helpful if we, as their accountants, could receive a notification to let us know there is a file waiting for us.
    This should be an optional setting, perhaps even with limits (eg notify me for every 5 files uploaded).

  19. For Practise Accounts
    have one section for internal notes on the client that can be updated
    - Files can be attached but not updated
    - Notes in a Report Text Box are only specific to that report
    Need a permanent place that I can add notes, instructions, updates to my staff dealing with a client

  20. I would find it very useful to have an unlinked depreciation schedules in Xero Tax. Including amortisation schedules for borrowing costs and also assets that are used for business and employment purposes creates efficiency by including it in the return.
