  2. Practice Manager - Bulk update ITR due dates within tax return

    If we request the income tax client report through Xero, the due dates update in the client detail level, but not in the tax return if they have already been created.
    Being able to bulk update the due dates within the tax return, especially when deferrals are requested and successful with the ATO would be helpful as manually updating them all can be time consuming.

  4. We have an abundance of deregistered clients/entities in our client list. We would like the option of archiving these clients, but if they are still linked through the group, then they still show up under the group profile - but maybe in a separate section, so the group profile could list current clients and archived clients.

    Ideally, we want to archive them because they aren't an existing client anymore, however, we would still like them to be visible/searchable with the client data, so we can see their historical entities and for other reasons.

  5. Bring back Xero HQ Activity tab. It was the only place you can see which of your clients GST Returns still needed to be filed.

    You cant even generate a report for this in myIR Intermediary.

  7. We suggest to add the option to view TAX return versions when modifications are made to the return.

  9. Just a simple one, but it has something I've spoken to many Xero account managers over the years.

    When preparing a tax return, you currently see an amount payable or amount refundable in text, and the dollar amount in bold black next to it.

    I feel that it would be a simple, yet positive change, to have the dollar value display in green when there is an amount refundable, or red when there is an amount payable.   10. Currently once the document pack is sent you can't see the message that you have sent the client. It would be good to be able to see what you have told them- especially if you are providing them with additional information but you don't want to have to do a separate email.

  11. I would find it very useful to have an unlinked depreciation schedules in Xero Tax. Including amortisation schedules for borrowing costs and also assets that are used for business and employment purposes creates efficiency by including it in the return.

  12. Xero should be having a feature Statistical GL where one can enter statistical information or numbers which are vital for analyzing business trends.
    For example, If I am maintaining books of a restaurant and I want to record daily covers (footfall or number of customers) which can help me analyze revenue per cover, spend etc.
    There should an option to create some designated ledgers to input and maintain these statistical information which does not affect any financial statements but can be used for business performance analysis.

  13. Love Xero Tax for FRS105 but don't use it for FRS102 s1A accounts. Are there any plans to be able to select to include a SOIRE (not just a SOCE)? This is critical for a potential switchover to Xero Tax for these accounts for me.

  14. Hubdoc allows you to download all documents in a folder, and Hubdoc also allows you to download to CSV some document metadata. It would be very useful if Hubdoc had the ability to download documents by folder or by Tag, and further, if Hubdoc had the ability to download the Tags associated with a document when downloading the metadata.

    Hi Michelle - thank you for raising. We can definitely see how this would help. I've checked with our Product team and this is something that is not currently on our immediate roadmap. However, we will continue to monitor this. In the meantime, we are in the process of adding integration with HMRC to pull employment data for all individuals.

  16. Allow upload of Excel (.xls .xlsx) document.
    Many suppliers supply their invoice in an excel format, Before they can be uploaded into Hubdoc they need to be converted to PDf.

  17. Would love to see features to the group profile. Even if they were custom tabs from the business settings (so it applies to all groups). Some ideas are:

    1. Group information - could be a list of the clients and their partner, manager, class, etc (would be great if each firm could select what client details they want to include from their business settings).

    2. Client Fees - could use this section to add services, fees and notes for each client, and then have this total per service, client and group. This way you can update on the go and see the…

  18. Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice

    Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.

    20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

  19. When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Those details are required by the IRS but the current Hubdoc system does not…

  20. There is an inability to prepare and lodge income tax returns for the forward 2025 year for companies and trusts including deceased estates.
    In regard to companies deregistering in the 2024/2025 tax year or wanting to deregister in that year, the company cannot do a 2024/25 tax return after deregistration as the ATO will not accept a lodgment after the date of deregistration as it is considered by the ATO to no longer exist. Companies cannot do a 2024/25 tax return before deregistration as Xero do not have this function available.
    This functionality needs to be urgently implemented.
