Xero New Reports from 31/7/23 - fixes to the Trial Balance report compared to the Old Reports
The mandatory update to using the new Reports in Xero from 31st July 2023 means the old version of reports will cease. This includes the much used Trial Balance report as accountants like myself tend to start from there when reviewing quarterly and annual work.
I notice the following list of issues with the New Report for Trial Balance:
1 - You can bookmark the old TB report and use this bookmark across clients. Also bookmark can be changed to show a particular date too i.e. 31st March. Bookmarking the new report always takes you to same client you initially…

To be able to delete a client from Xero tax. I have one I used as trial data and it is frustrating that it is still sitting in the list.

Xero HQ - Bulk remove users
We have lots of Xero systems that belong to one client, one of their admin employees left and we had to remove their e-mail address from each Xero system manually. It would be much easier if we had users' directory and be able to filter by e-mail address and remove people much easier from the associated companies.

NZ Tax - Ability to set up multiple cover page templates for a return type
Currently you can only set up one cover page template for tax returns in XPM. We'd like to be able to set up two different cover letters with different branding for each tax return and alternate between the two (i.e. select which cover letter you want for that return) when we are printing the tax return.

Xero Sign | Document Packs - Allow bulk signing when client has multiple documents to sign
Would be great to have an option for clients to bulk sign a document pack e.g. similar to Docusign where multiple pdf's are treated as one document.
At the moment, if there was a document pack with 15 BAS's, the client would have to click into the individual document, click the signature boxes and click to confirm signature. They then have to click into the next document and repeat the same process another 14 times.
Would be good to have a feature/option we can select when sending out the document, so the client can sign the documents in bulk.

AU Tax - Bulk reminders to sign returns
tax return reminders to sign bulk send out reminders once exceeded the 3 reminders.
also notification if email address has a typo and doesn't deliver to the client

Wanted to let everyone know about a change to document packs in Xero HQ 😊
Whilst not quite what this request is after, if you're a member of a UK, NZ or AU practice, you'll now be able to send out bulk reminders for document packs in Xero HQ.
As this request is specifically for bulk reminders in AU Xero Tax, I won't be closing it out. We'll leave it open to continue to collect feedback and gauge community interest.

Document Packs - Ability to mark as complete
It'd be great if we could have a "Mark as Complete" option for Document Packs. We've got a bunch of Doc Packs that will forever sit in 'sent' because of various reasons and it would be great to clean them up.
Examples of these situations - when a doc pack is sent to multiple people, and maybe one of them dropped into the office to sign the financials in person - we've now got a partly signed document in a Doc Pack, and a physical signature as well. Xero Tax (UK) - Breakdown for Amortisation rates & Share capital analysis
Please add a section in the accounts note for a breakdown of the share capital - number of shares allotted and number of called up share capital which has been paid / place to add notes about the share capital.
Also there should be an option for amortisation rate anaylsis (same as the fixed assets depreciation anaylsis).

UK Tax | CT600 - R&D tax repayments
R&D tax repayments
Currently with Xero Tax you can only request a credit towards the tax liability and not a cash repayment. Can Xero please amend this so that those that are amending CT submissions to claim R&D, can request to have the cash repayment rather than the reduction. it needs to be populated in CT600 box 865 (currently ).4 votes -
Workpapers - Bulk upload attachments to queries
Ability to upload multiple documents to workpaper queries at one time, currently can only select and upload one document at time which can be quite time consuming if a client has supplied you with 12 months bank statements to upload. I note this bulk upload feature is available when saving supporting documents to workpapers so not sure why this functionality can be expanded to include queries?

Xero HQ | Ask - Add more greetings placeholders, including given name
It would be good to have more flexible saluations in Ask covering emails, particularly when asking for information for personal tax.Being able to use the given name for someone, for example, (as per most emails that peope send) would be a good start.

Xero Tax (UK) | Produce accounts for registered societies
XeroTax currently cannot produce accounts where the company has a IP registered number. It would appear that the only change needed to do these accounts is to recognise the different registered number format.

AU Tax - Manually Adjust Tax Estimates
Ability to put in manual tax estimate adjustments, such as prior liabilities on tax accounts so clients can see total owed. It can show estimate for return, then show the adjustments.
Also ability to adjust for amended returns to show the actual amount refunded or owing after amendment calculations.4 votes -
NZ Tax - Change date on provisional tax payment letters to send date
We noticed last provisional tax letters that we sent out to clients had the date the amounts were approved.
We usually approve before and e-mail/post letters closer to time.
Is there a way the date can be changed on the Provisional tax letter to the day its getting e-mailed to client?
