Would be great for team members to be able to enter timesheet credits for flexitime hours over their standard daily hours, without having to enable the Financial privileges option in Staff settings (as this then provides visibility to all timesheets, ability to lock/unlock timesheets, ability to enter time for other team members, along with various practice financial report features etc).

  2. I would like to be able to attach a bill that has been expensed to a client to the client's invoice so that if client would like to view the expense bills it is available to them.

  3. Ability to upload multiple documents to workpaper queries at one time, currently can only select and upload one document at time which can be quite time consuming if a client has supplied you with 12 months bank statements to upload. I note this bulk upload feature is available when saving supporting documents to workpapers so not sure why this functionality can be expanded to include queries?

  4. It would be great if we could report on more fields in XPM - in this instance, who does an invoice in XPM. There is a history section in the invoice, but there is no way to add this data to a report. E.g. I am using a 'job report' that includes the 'Date Last Invoiced', and it would be great if we could also show 'who created the invoice' (and/or approved and exported). We have tried adding a custom field on the job to allocate the staff member, but as this is manual, it would be a lot easier…

  5. Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

  6. We noticed last provisional tax letters that we sent out to clients had the date the amounts were approved.

    We usually approve before and e-mail/post letters closer to time.

    Is there a way the date can be changed on the Provisional tax letter to the day its getting e-mailed to client?

  7. The mandatory notes section on FRS 105 needs upgrading, so that the notes on things like movement in directors loans, and operating lease commitments, can be completed by merely filling in numbers into a template matrix. At the moment, no tabular layout is possible.

  8. Ability to hide more sensitive data from staff.

    I have an employee who works overseas. Currently I think we can only hide the TFN details but it would be good to also be able to hide date of birth, address and now Director ID details.

    They do not need to see all of the sensitive data when preparing tax returns so it would be good to have some options of what data we can hide from employees.

  9. Being able to pick specific due dates for recurring jobs, rather than having to select per day/week/month. BAS & IAS due dates will be different depending on how many days in the month there are.

  13. we can now do a prefilling of a return very easily, however, we still need to go into the ATO website to download the full prefilling report (approximate 2 -3 minutes) to find any ATO warnings such a Crypto currency transactions or Capital Gain Disposals for shares....or even worse the client has a warning about excessive prior year deductions claimed. If this was to come across when Xero did the download ATO prefilling and come up on the Xero warning when you validate the returns ...this would save time and potential missing of these warnings

  14. Please could we have the option to change the Corporation Tax Return approval date in the same way that the Accounts Approval date can be changed to reflect the actual date the client signed the accounts and tax return.

    Or better still, we could just have one are to change the approval date and it would update both the accounts and corporation tax return

    We have been embracing Xero Tax for all our company accounts and tax returns this year, to really identify what still needs to be addressed and provide that feedback before we abandon our existing software.

  15. Can the Directors, Shareholders and Shares held, beneficiaries, Trustees etc in XPM be available to import into the Financial Statements template so it can stop you having to create custom fields with this information to report on?

  16. In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".

    A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.

    It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.

    Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

Update New Zealand trust financial reporting templates to comply with the Tax Administration (Financial Statement - Domestic Trusts) Order 2022 as set out in Inland Revenue's Operational Statement OS 22/02, including removing reference to repealed Trustees Act 1956 and replacing with Trusts Act 2019.

    While it is good to get a sense of the interest on the thread here - If not already we'd also recommend raising this with your Partner Consultant or Account Manager so they're aware of your needs in this, too. 🙂

  19. Custom task rate - although the charge out rate can be amended for individual tasks for a member of staff, there is no "from" date that can be specified so it is applied to all un-invoiced WIP. It would therefore be very useful to be able to have the ability to put in a date from when the new rate should be applied.
