Ai assistant chat
An AI assistant to help use Xero within the app - inevitably manage all the book-keeping. If I’m required to do anything out the ordinary like the occasional credit note or refund when bookkeeping I often need ChatGPT or previously I’d ask an accountant. This functionality could improve over time and be connected to a mailbox to start automating all book keeping. For example, I could send XeroMailbox a client contract and AI would read it and create a project and draft invoices -or I could forward an email of a purchase order. AI would read it and ask to create the invoice for that client based on the detail. Any clarity required by the AI it could ask when the document is sent originally. As the use and functionality improves, the Xero AI , could simply ask to monitor a Mailbox - of course providing detail as to what it is doing and clearly explaining to the user will be important - certainly the ability to confirm/ check and revert if required while XeroAI is learning. But as more and more people use it, it will improve. I see no reason that Xero could not automate the majority of the book keeping tasks and that should be Xero’s main goal - developing the automated structure of start - to - end , for any small/ medium business.
