  1. Returns Management User Interface (UI) - "All" Tab Improvements/Customization

    To improve handling returns by adding bulk selection and status update functionalities on the "All" tab of the Returns Management interface. Also, suggesting having a customizable UI to best fit our workflow preference.

    Key Features:

    Action Buttons
    - Located in the table header, these buttons perform bulk actions such as "Approved", "Out to Sign", and "Sign". They remain disabled unless one or more return items are selected.

  2. It would be really helpful if invoice templates could adjust automatically based on client type, instead of having to create and assign multiple templates manually.

    For example:
    1. Individuals and Partnerships would include the 'Attention' field, but not include the 'Contact Name' field
    2. Company invoices would include the 'Attention' field, but not the 'Contact Name' field
    3. Trusts, SMSFs, and Charities would include both the 'Attention' field and the 'Contact Name' field

    This would save time, reduce errors, and ensure invoices are always addressing the legal entity correctly for each client type.

  4. It would be great if when a client completes their BGLiD verification, that that data can go back to XPM and complete the Client Verification section. Would save a lot of time & reduce the potential for entries being missed.

We would just like to be able to see the Partner name on the Xero Practice Manager (XPM) client screen alongside the client name, phone number and address instead of having to go into each client to get this information. Especially useful for new admin staff who need to allocate various correspondence between multiple Partners.

  6. Change the save button at the bottom of the screen in XPM to Save and Close so you dont need to scroll back up to the top of the page each time when editing client details.

  7. Hi there, could Xero please add a VAT reconciliation report to the reports section where we can reconcile each VAT period's VAT payable/receivable to the VAT control account. This would make the VAT reviews and VAT reconciliations at year end so much easier and faster.

  8. Please add a column or filter to the XPM Job Manager screen for client Groups. There is currently no column/filter for client group in the job manager screen in XPM - which means if you want to see all the jobs for a client group - e.g. Alf Barbagallo - have to search each entity individually. Also means cannot easily do a bulk update for all jobs in a client group.

  10. Previously when a job was created in XPM from ignition, a hyperlink was created to the proposal inside the XPM job. We always click this to access the proposal and issue the invoice when finalsing. This link is now converted to plain text which requires either copying and pasting or opening ignition and manually browsing to the proposal.
    Would be great to have this functionality restored.

  11. The Contacts listing in Xero shows amount owing on left and amount receivable on right, it would be more 'readable' to accountants if it were the other way around:

    They Owe - left side / debit / current asset
    You Owe - right side / credit / current liability

I propose introducing a pre-profile pop-up in Xero XPM to provide immediate access to critical client information, including linked contacts, billing references, and direct hyperlinks to individual contacts. This feature would also allow for the configuration of custom reminders, ensuring that key client details and actionable prompts are prominently displayed to enhance staff efficiency and client service.

Have recently had a client complain that the card processing description says 'credit card processing fee' however the client paid with debit card and therefore doesn't think they should have been charged processing fee. This terminology needs to be updated to 'card processing fee' for more transparency.

  15. We have a few jobs in the system for a client that was very complex and we have since disengaged. We want to write off all of the time but we do not want any team member to have their write ons/offs affected by these jobs, as the nature of them was incredibly complex and this was due to the way the client prepared and sent the information to us, and not the fault of any of our team members.

  16. We have certain clients who are set up under a monthly retainer with all included tasks (scope) under the one job. We need a way to allocate and set milestones or due dates for certain staff at the task level of these jobs.

    The current milestones which can be implemented after a job template is in use has limited functionality as you can only set due dates from the start of the "job" not for each task as due.   17. Create the ability to update time entries for draft bills.
    We often have a manager draft the bill and between the bill being created and it being approved by a director, there is additional time added to the job. If there was an option to refresh the bill to include all time before approval, rather than having to delete the bill and start again, that would be amazing!

  18. Joint bank accounts need to be listed in the financial institution details of both parties in XPM. It would be great to have them linked so only one client needs to be updated and the changes flow to the other client, and into the tax returns for both

  19. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.
