  1. Currently once the document pack is sent you can't see the message that you have sent the client. It would be good to be able to see what you have told them- especially if you are providing them with additional information but you don't want to have to do a separate email.

  2. Have a workpaper for motor vehicle private use adjustments with calculators for FBT, logbook, and mileage reimbursement. Be able to have more than one like the home office workpaper does. And have this roll forward like the home office one does so that you can see the method used by the client and the FBT/logbook values etc.

  3. Following on from advice from IRD. Is this something that is easy enough to create?

    See email from IRD.....

    We are getting a number of customers to our Front of house (reception) who require a printed barcode to make their payment at Westpac. As you might expect, many of these customers are elderly and it has been some effort for them to go to Westpac only to find they need a barcode to pay so they come to see us… before heading back to Westpac with their printed barcode.

    Most have, in the hot little old hands, a lovely letter…

    Appreciate the meaning behind this idea to you all. 

    This is something we'd like to continue to track on the site here, however to upfront in order to generate the barcode there's work that'd need to be done on IRD's end to enable this. 

    We've reached out to engage them on this, but there is no immediate plans from our end, at this time. 

  4. Ability to put in manual tax estimate adjustments, such as prior liabilities on tax accounts so clients can see total owed. It can show estimate for return, then show the adjustments.
    Also ability to adjust for amended returns to show the actual amount refunded or owing after amendment calculations.

  5. Does Xero have any plans to incorporate 'Xero Tax' in the trial version? I can see that there are a number of videos on Xero Tax on Xero Central. If it was incorporated in the trial version- it would provide students with hands-on experience as opposed to just watching videos or reading texts.

    As Xero is now being used by many accounting firms, Tax professionals who are currently working in other platforms such as Sage Handisoft or MYOB don't know how Xero tax works. When they are trying to change companies- it would provide them an advantage if they are…

  6. In Xero HQ as a partner we have Report Templates which we can use for our clients. Currently, it only allows us to export to PDF or Excel or Google Sheets.

    It would be useful. helpful and beneficial for practitioners to be able to export it to WORD format so that we can re-format the font type, font size and header and footer styles..

  7. when we have a report that we would want to specify the type of return e.g. ir3, ir4 there does not seem to be the IR4J specifically for when we file a IR4J on its own for members apart of a consolidated group and only require to file their own imputation return.

    It would be great if this could be included as this helps when reporting our internal filing stats.

WITH THE UPCOMING CHANGE IN CORPORATION TAX RATE (6/4/23) IT WOULD BE A NICE FEATURE IF THE PROFIT ALLOCATION IN ACCOUNTING YEARS STRADLING THE TAX YEAR END COULD BE TOGGLED BETWEEN "ALLOCATION ON DAYS" AND "ACTUAL ACCOUNTS" SO THAT THE MOST BENEFICIAL TREATMENT COULD BE USED FOR CLIENTS NEXT YEAR (IE USING THE METHOD THAT PUTS THE LARGEST SHARE OF THE PROFIT INTO THE PERIOD UPTO 5/4/23) - NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 04/2023 YEAR ENDS AND AFTER

  9. We have staff accountants who work in teams. Ideally, we want them to have the "Manager Role" but when that is the case they can only see Workpapers they have created.

    We would prefer to have the option to give staff with "Manager Role" the ability to see and edit all Practice current and/or archived workpapers.

    The alternative is to give them a Partner Role which has a lot of other access we don't really want them to have (ie restore/delete, etc).

  10. Do not understand why if a client files their own income tax return with Inland Revenue and an assessment is issued why this is not updated in XPM, issues arise that we have no knowledge of assessment so affects Provisional and Income tax notices

When adding invoices through HubDoc when there is a new contact that needs to be added, it would be great if the option to create a new contact (supplier or customer) was available in HubDoc, rather than having to start typing in the contact filed & then having to wait for HubDoc/Xero to catch up.

  14. I like how Hubdoc separates the data extraction to "Transaction Details" such as Supplier, Amount and Date. from "Destination Details" Such as Account code and contact..

    We use Tags on the app to create Folders in hubdoc that organise team Expenses & Budgets.

    It would be good to be able to set additional Folder/Tag settings in hubdoc that could over ride the Global Supplier settings in hubdoc when a tag is added.

    Allowing for the Suppler to remain the same but the contact, Tax rate, account and tracking categories to be applied from the Tag/Folder settings.

  15. The US version of Xero doesn't have a tax rate column in the "Chart of Accounts" tab. In other regions of the world (like Australia & England) their version of Xero has access to see that information.

    It seems like a simple addition, as it has already been done, that could only help out those using Xero in the United States.

    HI Sally, jumping back on your idea here our team are working on providing more flexibility to the info you view from Job Manager.

    Right now, we're developing columns for Staff, Manager and Partners. Around the same time we expect to deliver these additions, we'll also enable you to hide detail you'd prefer not to view. So, you can decide and only see the information relevant for you when viewing Jobs.

    We'll return to share more when this is available🙂

  17. We have a numerous comments and feedback from clients and staff, that it would be great to have an option to include a reviewer of the documents even though their signature is not required. It would be nice to be able to share this information to group entities where the information is required by other individuals/entities within the group.

  18. For large farms/orchards or multiple businesses in the group, needing a P & L each for each Farm and Orchard. Then a combined statement P & L bringing all the totals together with the group overhead expenses. Currently have to do separate custom reports in Xero then paste in, would be good to have it all formated in one spot not doing multiple reports and copying and pasting. Currently using another accounting software provider to do the financials and only using Xero to collect the date, would be good to have it all in one spot

  19. With the updates happening around Xero HQ, it would be a great time to be able to provide additional search functions on the Practice Client list. At a minimum, being able to sort by "Unreconciled Items" would be very helpful.

  20. It would be good if I could setup a google drive file/directory where we can drop invoices into it and they are automatically uploaded to Hubdoc. Other products do this but I would like to fully migrate
