Homepage - Add a tracker for deadlines
I would like to set and track deadline dates on the dashboard for each client relating to statutory and other submissions (i.e. provisional tax / monthly management reports / tax return submissions / etc.).

This would be a really useful feature - so simple. Hard to understand why it's not already available.

It would be great if the Dashboard in Xero could be set up with multiple reminders (widgets maybe?) which show date reminders for that businesses specific next tax liabilities filing due dates (by current/most recent) Eg. Show date next PAYG Withheld IAS is due (usually monthly), Quarterly BAS is due (usually quarterly), Payroll Tax due (usually 7th of the month, or 6mths or annually), Annual Payroll tax (date varies per State in Australia), Pay Run payment date (weekly, fortnightly or monthly etc). Also the Annual Tax Return due date as per that businesses entity type and reporting/financial year. These could be based on the financial and tax settings of that Xero File (including GST, PAYG Withheld and PAYG Income tax, financial year set up in settings etc)

Add GST Return due in the tasks box
A lot of clients miss the reminder from IRD that a GST return is due, as reminder in Tasks would reduce this risk -

Allow businesses to adapt their Xero Dashboard with "Widgets" such as reminders of submission dates for next payroll run, CIS submission, VAT Return etc. Also show current outstanding values for net pay, CIS & PAYE/NIC payments, VAT payment/refund.

The current warnings of approaching and especially passed deadlines for tax filings, tax payments etc look to me to be very low key and as a consequence I have missed deadlines despite checking in every day. Such warnigns need to be more prominent as default on Dashboard. Larger organised users may not wish this for approaching deadlines so perhaps an option for the current "low key" warnings, but presumably everyone wants to know if they have missed a deadline.
