Homepage - Bank balance widget chart
The new homepage layout removed the 6-month historic bank account balance chart, so now we're only left with a 1-month view in the bank accounts tab.
Can you consider having an option to display the balance history chart on the home page widget once again, or make the chart on the bank accounts tab configurable to display the previous 1/3/6/12 months? It might also be worth considering an option to project the next 1 month balance based upon known income and expenses.
Hi there!
Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback on the bank balance charts.
I’ve categorized this as Gaining Support. While we don't roll back to previous versions of the homepage, I’ve refined your idea to focus on making the balance charts configurable (1, 3, 6, or 12 months).
This covers your need for historical data while allowing for future flexibility.
Since our forum works best with one idea per post, I've focused on the chart visibility first. I’d recommend raising the "balance projection" as a separate suggestion so it can be voted on individually!

Obviously don't give a **** about your customers. Can't be that hard to roll it back to a useful page. Had enough comments. The new page is horrible

I agree with Jim Morris. I too was talking about the six month graph that is now missing from Bank Accounts screen. This needs to be unmerged.

Who merged my thread on the accounts page into something to do with home page bank accounts widgets?!?!?! I was talking about the bank account page!

Agreed, I'm not a fan of what Xero have done to the bank account screen.
I don't mind the graph being big, but being able to customise the timeframe displayed, would be nice.
Also, I do not like what has been done with the fonts; it makes quickly seeing the balance more difficult, especially given I run my screens at 80% zoom - due to the stupidly oversized fonts and scaling on so many different pages (particularly looking at you "New" Invoicing!). All the text should be on the left side, with the balance bolded, like it was previously. This change wasn't necessary.
Further to this, you have the same account option, "Manage Bank Rules" as a button at the top and under "Reconcile" in each of the 3-dot menus of the widgets...But then, the "Transfer Money" button has been effectively hidden on the main screen, even though it also is available under the widget 3-dot menus....WHY?!?!?
You have enough screen real estate on that top bar to drive an ocean liner through - you duplicate one option and hide the other under the 3-dot menu... Have you people never hear of CONSISTENCY? URGH!

As we have many bank accounts (more than 50), the new dashboard became obsolete for us as not all bank accounts are shown. So, what's the point of having new dashboard?
The "bank account" tab still shows ALL bank accounts. As Mark Devaney points out, I also would appreciate if the list of bank accounts would be more flexible like the old dashboard. I do not need these huge widgets for each bank account. If they could be shown in 2 or 3 o4 columns that would be perfect. Also the possibility to reorder them according to our needs would be necessary (that already is possible but only in one long column).

The long term view of the bank graphs was pretty useful, seeing long-term trends and suchlike at a glance. Toggle-able and timescale-configurable all seem good ideas too. These new widgets look super but show limited information, take up a lot of screen space and add very little value. On a mobile they might make some sense but that's about it.

It is so strange to remove this feature with the new homepage update. It was very helpful to see at a glance. Another option in Xero that should be user toggleable.

I too am baffled by the (seemingly deliberate?) decision to remove the graph view of the account balance history. This was VERY helpful for me to see trends. I have no issue with it being made a configurable option (defaulted to "show graph" would be logical, to maintain consistency), but to remove it entirely, makes no sense to me.
I just clicked to switch back to "old" view and suddenly realised how much has been lost in these new account widgets.
Please can you confirm this will be fixed before you remove the ability to still see the "old" dashboard option?

I would like to raise a concern regarding the bank balance graph that previously displayed whether an account was in overdraft and clearly showed how the balance increased or decreased over time.
At the moment, this graph no longer appears to be visible in the bank account view. Since its removal (or change), it has become much more difficult to quickly assess the cash position and identify negative balance trends.
This feature was particularly important for one of my clients who is currently in overdraft. Being able to visually track when the account drops below zero and monitor fluctuations over time is essential for managing cash flow, planning payments, and avoiding additional bank charges. The graphical overview provided an immediate and clear picture that reports alone do not fully replace.
Could you please clarify whether this feature has been removed, relocated, or disabled? If possible, I would strongly encourage you to consider restoring it, as it was a very practical and valuable tool for day-to-day financial monitoring.

In the old dashboard there was a graph for each account, to show the balance (see uploaded image). Can we have the option to show the graph? I relied on it for my VISA bill, which cannot be connected by bank feed, and it gave me an at-a-glance indication of where I was at in the billing cycle.

The graph is the first thing I look at in the morning. Also, We have 8 bank accounts, a sum total of each bank account would be very beneficial for me, I have to run a report to get this information or manually add the widgets together.

Put the graph back! How can making widgets bigger to show less information be an upgrade? It is a real pain to visually see our account health now!

In the old layout each bank account widget had a balance graph for the past 30 days. I miss this already, so adding it back in an option would be very useful.

The old bank account widgets have a line chart of the historic balance. This is useful. Your new one does not. Why?
In fact, there is LITERALLY nothing new on ANY of these widgets, except they are all uglier, busier, more confusing, harder to read and have less data. GOOD JOB!

Bring back graphs on the bank accounts (Maybe opt in /opt out to have them displayed) its too busy a dashboard with just the summaries! We have a dozen feeds displaying and its pretty clunky to view. Thanks!
