  2. More clicks. I don't want more clicks.

    I understand security.. but if someone has already hacked my Xero account, gone to Workpapers, attached a URL to an account - I have bigger security issues than the fact I will be clicking a link within my (supposedly secure) Xero account!!!

    Our URLs are to our SharePoint. I do not want to confirm I want to proceed. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  3. When amending the Workpaper templates, it would be useful to be able to "edit" the checklist items without having to delete them and reset them.

    It would be useful to be able to set the order of the checklists rather than defaulting to alphabetical.

    It would be useful to be able to prepare a personalised checklist in this space as well.

    We tend to tweak items from time to time. NOT reset them.

    If this can be included as an individual feature as well that would be good. As some clients do not require these items to be done.

  4. Currently it defaults to In Progress and I can't seem to change that? At least in Old Workpapers we had On Hold, which we used if there were queries with the client and the job was stalled. And Done, when it was out for signing and waiting for the workpapers to be signed off. It would be really handy to a) be able to customise the Status, and then b) change it.

    Also I tried the Notify feature and that didn't update Status to Ready for Review either
    Otherwise looking at my client view of all workpapers in progress, we…

  5. Can we have a spot that we look at all workpapers, instead of having to click into each, this is something that reviewers find frustrating & creates a barrier for older partners (less tech inclined) - like the old ones "Analytical Review", if you don't add a link on "Working Trial Balance",

    This is if we cannot have the links in the "Working trial Balance"

    Hi team, thanks for your inputs here. This is an idea that our product team are exploring and considering how they improve the collaboration. For now we'll shift into discovery and I'll share when there is more news around this.

  6. It's bad enough having 3 workpapers for the profit and loss... I can't change where any of the accounts go and now Wages (1 account) is split off into its own 😅

  7. There is no ability to link documents/URLs to lines on the Income Tax workpaper.

    We need that ability so we aren't scrolling down looking for the supporting documents...

    It's so obvious.

  8. I sporadically have an issue where the manual journal will balance but I am unable to post as it believes the journal is out of balance. Only work around is to post directly in the Xero file

  9. In the create journal window of the new workpapers, it would save a lot of time if you had the ability to set up new accounts there rather than back and forth into the Xero ledger. Also it would be nice if the chart of accounts updated with changes from blue Xero when posting journals in the new workpapers.

  11. Our firm uses the snipping tool to snip in the source documents/balances. It would be fantastic if you could copy and paste into the new workpapers (without having to save and upload).

  13. When documents are attached to line items, could they please also show in the Supporting documents section? Currently, they only appear again if you click the line item.

    For example, on the Bank Reconciliation workpaper, a statement has been attached to each bank account line, but when the workpaper is opened again, you only know something is attached due to the icon under Actions. You have to click on the line item for the supporting document to appear below (which isn't intuitive).

    Everything attached should show in the Supporting documents section, as per the old Workpapers.

  14. I would like a supporting balance column for each workpaper so we can enter manually the balance from the supporting document so we can see immediately the variance to the CY balance if any.

  15. List all completed and open working papers directly on the client’s practice manager record. This will allow for direct navigation from the client’s record to the working pack without needing to leave Practice Manager.

  16. It was a very useful feature in Classic workpapers for the journals that were created to be included in the workpapers pack that was exported. We have found that journals aren't exported in New Workpapers. Including this is key to ensure we have an accurate record of changes made to a file by the accountant, especially if the client leaves and we no longer have access to the records.

  17. Reporting period date: full financial year, based on Xero Blue Financial settings' year-end.

    Not all the clients' year-ends are the same in South Africa

  18. When posting journals I can't see the cash / accrual options? When posting EOFY adjustments for non-ded entertainment and home office would need the cash basis option so updates in blue xero on the next gst return. Does selecting the tax inclusive from the drop down have this impact?

  19. I started a Workpaper pack for a Trust.

    Workpapers defaulted the statuses of the following workpapers:
    - Income Tax: NA Not Applicable
    - Franking Credits: Not Started

    This is silly. Income Tax applies to every entity.. Franking Credits only apply to companies.

  20. Lol. I just noticed that the checkbox in a Workpaper says Mark Accounts as Completed.

    How unintuitive is that?

    On the All Workpapers screen the checkbox is for selecting (and performing functions). This makes sense, even if it is ridiculous the million steps you need to take to deactivate a workpaper.

    Why would you have the icon exactly the same but have the behaviour completely different?

    Why wouldn't you put a heading above the checkbox to explain what it is for? (If it's for marking the account as completed)

    Why can't we see that the accounts in that workpaper are…
