  2. The current “Add Payment” workflow in invoices is inefficient for keyboard users. While manual entry of payment dates has been improved, the account selection still forces users to use the mouse, which breaks the flow.
    We need a smoother, full keyboard-navigable process when adding a payment to an invoice:
    1.Enter date manually (already possible )
    2.Press Tab to move to the Account field
    3.Type the account number directly
    4. Press Tab or Enter to confirm selection without needing to click the search bar or manually select the account with a mouse

  3. Correct data flow and field behavior in Invoice payments. The payment popup window is in front of the invoice date and it not movable. I need to be able to move the window and see the invoice date. The payment date fields defaults to "today." I would doubt that anyone posts payments to Xero in real time. The better default date would be the invoice date. You cannot tab to the bank account field and you can't type the account number. You still have to pick up the mouse and drop down and click.   5. Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".

    Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.

  6. Attached preview window to stay in locked screen on the Left, with line items to be on the right on a scroll screen. Because if you add attachments to work from, the screen will be ready to view from the top left and if you have more than 20-line items inputted and you're working from the bottom. You can't see what the attachment is to work from. Look at pictures to see the mark up of issue. This issue is same as the bills.   7. I would like to be able to 'print' or 'save' a pdf invoice to a folder of my choosing rather than to the default 'downloads'
    Currently ALL downloaded items from the internet are placed in 'downloads' so I need to move the invoice pdf to my chosen folder. It would be a excellent time saver if I could choose my own folder to save to, and have it use this chosen folder each time.

    I believe it is a software bug to rely on the default settings of the users browser to determine where files are saved to.

  8. When processing a number of customer remittance advices, it would be very useful to have a button to get you straight back to sales invoices awaiting payments list. Currently, when finalising a deposit, the system takes to the bank account that you have selected for the deposit. You then have to go back to Sales>Invoices>Awaiting Payment which the system does lag in loading.

  9. We have government clients who are asking to be sent invoices using the eInvoicing function, rather than pdf's via Xero's email function.
    Some government clients will ONLY accept eInvoices from Jan-27.
    BUT these government clients require a separate field to be added to the invoice header so that their system can recognise the invoice and link it to their purchase order.

    We are unable to comply as we alreadyusetheReferencefieldforINTERNALpurposes.

    Hi Jo, thanks for sharing this idea. We appreciate you explaining how dual reference fields could help meet government client requirements, especially with the January 2027 eInvoicing mandate approaching. After reviewing this with our product team, we've moved this idea to Not in pipeline, which means the product team have reviewed the idea and it isn't on the foreseeable roadmap. The idea remains open for votes, so we encourage the community to continue supporting it if this impacts their business. We'll keep monitoring feedback from the community on this topic.

  11. Can we bring in all Journals made in the financial year not just what we create in workpapers (I picked a job we have completed to test, to see what we might like to see & this is something that would be handy, so we don't double up JNLs), also shows that the system will talk back & forth

  12. From 1st January 2025 businesses in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices and this function does not exist in the Global edition we use for our German clients.

    We need this functionality setting up as a matter of urgency.

    Thanks for raising the idea with us. Our team are aware of the mandate of eInvoicing for Germany. While we don't have immediate work planned at this stage our plan is to support any Peppol-enabled region in the long term and we are paying close attention to the interest from users on this idea. We'll be sure to update of any progress surrounding this for you, here.

    The mandate currently states "The new legal regulation currently contains no specifications for the electronic transmission of electronic invoices. An email inbox should therefore initially be sufficient to receive an electronic invoice."

    Based on this, currently with Xero an eInvoice could be received by using our Email to bills service, or by including the invoice as an attachment and sending to your organisation's Files library. On agreement with your suppliers you could share your bills, or files library email with them so…

  13. e-invoicing notification

    It would be great if we could get some kind of notification when an e-invoice was received into draft. Without going into our process, not knowing when a e-invoice was received will cause delays in processing as well as paying it.

    Thanks for sharing this idea. We appreciate you explaining how viewing full invoice amounts on sales list summary screens could help with reconciliation.

    In the meantime, if you are looking at a specific contact then you may like to view the invoices via the contacts screen for that contact as here you can add a column for the total invoice amount.

  15. Sales Invoice - Bulk create Sales Invoices is possible with the import of the csv file, however, the invoices entered is not marked as paid, so we either mark them all paid on one especific date (bulk payment) or go in each one of them and enter the payment...

    Going in each one is impratical, and bulk paying all, lets say, at the end of the month is ok, but not right.

    We would love to create and mark the invoice as paid in one go, just like with the import precoded bank transactions...

  16. I do not like new invoicing, so I want to KEEP to original invoicing for as long as I possibly can Until End of Feb, without having to manually scroll down to the bottom of the page everytime I log in and manually select original invoicing every time.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate your feedback here. With the retirement of classic invoicing in February, and to help customers get used to the new invoicing experience this default will continue to apply.

    As we continue to improve the new experience this means customers may find updates that help their workflow and adopt the new experience.

    The option to switch back to classic will be available and we understand this is the experience some customers may choose to use up until the retirement date.

  17. Ability to add CC/BCC on every outgoing Statement Of Accounts to customers.
    Purpose: Internal colleagues or stakeholders allows for a clear record of who received the statement and the context of the communication.
    It enables easier response and ensures everyone involved is aware of the situation.

    We understand how valuable it'd be to have the option to CC or BCC internal staff and key stakeholders when emailing Statements of Account. You’ve highlighted how this feature would streamline internal communication, support better record-keeping, and make it easier to respond to client queries.

    At the moment, while CC/BCC is available when sending individual invoices, this functionality isn’t yet available for Statements of Account, which means relying on manual workarounds.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this feature would help you, please vote and share your thoughts to help us prioritise it. The more support it gets, the faster we can work on making it happen!

  18. Customers often ask for a copy of an older invoice that's been paid. When either resending or downloading it, Xero creates a new PDF that shows the invoice as paid with a 0.00 balance.

    I should be able to send an exact copy of the original that clearly states it is a copy. In fact, HMRC states that a request for another copy of a VAT invoice SHOULD be as per the original and state that it's a duplicate.

  19. When on pretty much any view, sometimes you just need to copy an invoice number (or a few).

    Now, when you click on a line, it goes to the invoice.

    Please give an option to disable the click to go to invoice/credit/bill, and allow us to click on a line to highlight/copy as right now it gets annoying - you have to click, but then press escape quickly enough, or, download as a CSV which just takes too long.

    I've checked the Invoices and Bills pages, and see much the same sort of behaviour. For example, when trying to highlight an invoice number in the Number column, or the Reference column for Bills, it tends to take you into the transaction.

  20. Retain the This Make manual tax adjustments from the invoice subtotal in New Invoicing. This is a feature that I use as I have to import sales figures from an external program and the VAT figure is different by a small amount But I don't want to have to alter each line on the invoice.
