Homepage - Track Quotes
Ability to track quotes and Purchase orders on the Dashboard
Purpose: This would allow for quick access and visibility of quotes
Thanks team, we really appreciate the feedback we have received and how having more visibility of quotes within the new Homepage would be useful to customers.
With a close eye on all ideas in relation to our reimagined homepage experience we have a close eye on this idea and will share if there are any updates around this here.

Dashboard Quote Summary
It is suggested to include a summary similar to "Invoices owed to you" in the Dashboard.
The summary can include a link to create a new quote, just like creating a new invoice. Also there can be four amounts:
# Draft Quotes Value
# Sent Quotes Value
# Accepted Quotes Value
# Declined Quotes ValueRespectively these would indicate Opportunities, Forecast, Current work load, and work lost.
The bar chart can show the number of quotes sent for a time period. It can be stacked so that the amount of these quotes that end up being accepted is coloured differently.
This summary could be used to help understand the sales performance side of the business and also to get a quick feel for what the future holds in terms of ability to invoice.
The bottom line, like the invoices summary, can be a tally of how many quotes were accepted out of the number that were sent in the last month/quarter/year. The time period should be configurable because some businesses send out many quotes per week and others operate on a few big quotes per quarter.

It would be useful if there was a section on the dashboard for quotes just like invoices so that we can see current accepted work (accepted quotes), projected work (sent quotes) and potential work (draft quotes).

I need to track my quotes as I use them prior to sending client an invoice.

My biggest customer is the local authority, and I need a purchase order before I can raise an invoice. I send them a quote to get the purchase order. It would be so much simpler to see my outstanding quotes on the dashboard

We use for budgeting purposes and to keep track of what is currently on the pipeline.
Having debtors days on the dashboard as well as a list of outstanding Purchase orders would also be brilliant.

Tracking quotes is a very important matter for all business as it is used to see if the business shows potential growth for the periods ahead.
I would also like to suggest that one should be able to track many different items within Xero on the dashboard. Items my include, top selling items, top customers, debtors days to pay etc. The info is already within Xero so it will not be difficult to populate them as dashboard items.
