One Click Delivery Notes
We need to include delivery notes with orders. The current packing slip does not cover this requirement. I'd like to be able to select multiple invoices, and bulk print delivery notes for them all. The delivery note needs to be somewhat customisable.
The notion of having to edit an invoice and change the theme in order to generate a delivery note is completely impractical!
While only on an invoice by invoice basis atm there is a slightly simpler option that the team released that will help create a packing slip for invoices.
Would be good to get a sense of the interest for a bulk option and creating for multiple invoices at once.

Please note that packing slips are not an adequate substitute. Delivery notes need a signature box and other slightly different fields. They can be generated before or after the invoice, depending on the business process. The delivery address may be different to the billing address.
Ideally, the customer can sign them digitally and the signed delivery note should be uploaded back into Xero as proof of delivery. Even better if there was an option for the signing to trigger the invoice to be delivered.
Delivery may also take place in more than one batch, so it needs to be possible to split the quote between two or more delivery notes.

If Xero added a simple Sign function field into their formatting, this would open up so much more usability without all the hugely overpriced third party integrations (either digital sign or someone making a mark on an app) not least a simple proof of delivery or certificate of ownership and such

Having problems again with the same contract. A delivery receipt (or rather the lack of the expected delivery receipt) would mean I would have followed up earlier on an invoice worth rather a lot of money which probably would have been paid by now. Instead, the earliest it will get paid is over a month after the original due date.

If an invoice is disputed by the respondent (client) as part of the process of preparing an adjudication case to get the money that is owed, we need to prove that the invoice was not only sent, but received.
Ideally it would be possible to generate a 'read' receipt when the email is read, such as is possible in Gmail -

Is this something that can be done on xero?

This is critical to us. What we need is a Delivered Button similar to the Paid Button on the invoice screen so that you can easily report if the goods on an invoice have been delivered or not. This would be really cool if it could be done on a Line by Line basis.

I'd use e-invoicing, but that's not an option for the particular contract with which I've had problems. Other contracts with the same client do not have the same issue with emails reportedly not arriving at the destination, so it's not an issue with Xero. It is, however, an issue that Xero having email delivery receipts would assist greatly with.

When sending an email from an email client, you have the ability to ask for a delivery receipt - for notification when the email arrives at the destination server. I'd like the same ability when I send an invoice by email from Xero.
Currently, in order to get an email delivery receipt, I have to send the invoice to myself via Xero (so that I have the links in the email correct) and then forward using an email client to the customer. Obviously, from an audit trail point of view, this is suboptimal.

Delivery order is a must and crucial part but yet Xero unable to prioritise this?
Not only this issue, Xero cannot create bundle as well.
I'm a previous user from Quickbook, all the above is available since day one. -

Also the ability to add a different delivery address to the invoice/payment/billing address

Would also like this. But furthermore would be good to classify items as for inclusion or exclusion on a packing slip. E.g. there's no point showing shipping/handling as a packing slip line item, but it's important to include in an invoice. We want to be able to tick/untick invoice items as being included in a packing slip or not.

Agreed, we are currently copying the Xero data into Excel in order to produce out Delivery Notes. I would not think it would be too difficult for Xero to add a template DN option, linked from the quote/invoice page.
