Yes I agree with Dawn. We too use a project management system for our invoicing, and the invoice link is creating us no end of issues with our clients. Please give us an option to remove the invoice link from our statements

Please remove invoice links from Statements, this is causing us huge problems or at least give an option to remove.
We are requesting like many others that Xero remove invoice links from statements, as they are causing significant issues.
Our company uses a Project Management system to issue invoices which is integrated with Xero, and we need control over the information provided to customers.
The automatic linking of Xero invoices in your Statements does not align with the original invoice sent. We urge Xero to provide an option to ‘opt in’ or ‘opt out’ of this feature, and that this should be a standard option and not require subscribers to create a custom template. As a company we are disappointed with Xero for not adapting to your customers' needs, especially considering we subscribe/ pay for a service monthly.

I am so upset that this "feature" was implemented without an opt in/opt out option. I reported it as an issue during the trail mode (CX0014003538 in case anybody from Xero is looking at this comments) and the "feature" was disabled for me then. Obviously, the user experience during the trial period was NOT taken into consideration when Xero decided to make the "feature" mandatory. Very disappointing from Xero. My question is "What is the point of putting features into a trial with users if problems the users report are not addressed?" followed by, when is the opt in/opt out option going to be available?

Based on your advice to create and upload an advanced template, can you please advise how to edit the «Description» field.

If I understand your instructions correctly, this is where the link is being embedded in the statement and will need to be edited to remove.

You can change the default template to a custom branding theme by dragging it to the top of the page of the invoice settings page. But other document types will adopt the template layouts in the custom branding theme unless contact settings override this or the document was created before the new template was made (I believe). So you need to check these also meet your needs.

I don't think you can set a default for Statements only (i.e., use a default custom theme for Statements and a default standard theme for invoices). But this may not matter depending on what you send out from Xero.

Can we change our default to the custom branding theme for our Statements so we don't have to select it every time we send a statement?

I don't want links to invoices to appear on customer statements. I have created a new branding theme and selected this when printing statements, but the links are still there. Please advise how to remove them.

Xero users should have the option available to remove the Links to invoices in Statements from Xero as many use a third party software to issue their invoices.

It is not an issue if invoices are sent from Xero but for a lot of businesses the Xero invoicing and process they use requires that they invoice from third party platforms.

Why was this option not put in when the Links were introduced?

Why are links to invoices now showing on invoice REMINDERS as well now despite the settings having it turned off??

Only just found that these links are in place. We also invoice outside Xero. This is CRITICAL as there are line items in Xero that SHOULD NOT be visible to our clients. This will cause incredible difficulties with fixed fee projects and other things where the line items will make no sense to the client.

There is a workaround for 'disabling' this by using a custom template for statements. We use this, but actually would like the ability to add invoice links to ours.

We use external invoices so when customers receive Xero statements with the invoice link it causes them confusion. We NEED to have the feature to turn this off!

As with previous comments, the link to invoices on customer statements is a huge hindrance and it has been very poorly thought through to not provide a basic opt-in/opt-out option for this facility. When will this feature be provided for this ongoing issue??
