Hi all. We have recently come over the Xero from Attache.
Several hundred times per month in Attache, we used the product look up option for individual products sold on Invoices and the same for individual products on Purchase orders however xero currently does not offer this as outlined below.
By putting in a code into the search area for invoices and P/O, we would like the option to search for that item, then click on the product that is identified as the one we want to look up, and bring up the invoice or purchase order the product is on. Its just a nice feature that not only finds the price and customer a product was sold to, it also identifies when a product was purchased and who the supplier was. In our plant nursery industry with several thousand different products getting sold per month and with around 10% of if being procured, this search option is a must have option to all sales staff. To give context, one of the monthly jobs we need to complete is when we get our supplier invoices at the end of each month outlining the plants we have procured, we are required to look up every item and record how much we sold it for and to what customer invoice number it was sold on. Its a final check to make sure that we successfully invoiced all the procurement items to our clients to check our procurement margins.
Another reason to link to invoice is that often is the case that several different items on the same supplier invoice have been sold to the same customer invoice so all items on the supplier inv can be checked off by looking up the one product on a customer invoice and seeing all the products from the supplier invoice.
Please contact me if you need clarity. I know there is some reports that can be run in Xero but in our industry it would be great to be able to click on the product in the report with link to the actual to invoice and P/O.
The report would hold the following information. Date, doc number, product, quantity and price would be a nice feature however attache did not have price. And link to document.
