Feature Request: Quarterly, Six‑Monthly & Yearly Repeat Templates
Dear Xero Product Team,
I would like to request the addition of new repeat template options for invoices and bills—specifically quarterly, six‑monthly, and yearly frequencies. These options would serve as helpful reminders for generating invoices or bills based on each company’s specific requirements.
This enhancement would be especially beneficial for businesses and agencies involved in residential property management and lettings, as well as suppliers who rely on Xero for regular billing cycles.

Hi Waqar, thanks for sharing this suggestion.The suggestion here is to add more set options for recurring timeframes like quarterly, six-monthly, or yearly schedules.
Just to clarify, this is already possible in Xero using the existing repeating transaction settings. Instead of selecting a preset option, you can enter the number of months directly in the “Repeat this transaction every” field. For example, enter 3 months for quarterly, 6 months for every six months, or 12 months for yearly.
As this functionality is already available, we’ve updated the status to Existing Functionality and closed this idea for voting. Thanks again for sharing your feedback and helping highlight where clearer guidance could improve the setup experience.
