Please include all Payroll Advisors in Superannuation bounceback email notifications.
Currently, only the Super approver receives an email notification when any super payment has bounced. Often, the Super approver does not pass this on in a timely manner, and it's not practicable to be constantly refreshing the Super Payments screen to check for any bounces, particularly for Accountants who manage multiple organisations in Xero.
With Payday Super coming in to effect on 1 July 2026, the window for ensuring super is paid is very tight. If only the Super approver is notified, they may not have the ability act accordingly…

NZ Payroll - Make multiple draft pay runs
Ability to draft future payruns - ie more than 1 darft payrun. Especially at Christmas time. I would like to draft up future payruns before Igo on leave, but still have the ability to adjust this week payrun for overtime etc. At the moment I can't move forward until I complete current payrun. or i have to do un unscheduled payrun to fix it. Very time consuming

Employee Files - Be able to add documents to a leave transaction (i.e. Medical Certificates for sick leave)
Employee Files - Be able to add documents to a leave transaction (i.e Medical Certificates or Leave Request Forms)
This would be great to have in each employee leave request as well as a dedicated documents file for each employee for keeping track of records for things like; Resignation Letters, Medical certificates, Leave Requests for anything related to specific employees for a 'all in one place' archive of employee data.

To not get a national minimum wage error flag, when the error is because of Xero's rounding
As of this month, Xero is starting to check for national minimum wage for all employees which I am all for.
However it is very annoying to have several employees flagged as not being paid the NMW when it is entirely down to Xero's rounding. See attached screenshot.In this example, an employee gets paid for 6.5 hours at £12.21. Xero pays them £79.36 (rounded down from £79.365).
Xero's own NMW checker then flags this as below NMW because £79.36 is below £79.365.

AU payroll super returned report -
With payday approaching, any employee contribution returned by fund should have some kind of report in Xero. LIke super payments returned which gives employee name, when the payment sent and when it was returned by the super fund

Hide archived employee names from drop down lists in Reporting unless specified to be included
Having the ability to view only current employee names in drop down lists in Reporting, unless archived employee names are also needed, would be great. Perhaps a tick a box to include archived names in the list?

We need more layers of payroll user rights please.

Expense Claims on New Home page
The new Home page only shows 'My Expenses' as I am responsible for other peoples as well I need to know how may are waiting for approval etc from the home screen-like it was on the old style

Expense Comments
Expense Claims - Approval Explorer - Next Button.
When approving expenses, if you want to open them up one by one, there is no each button to hit next, or approve, next. This is a nightmare for time wasting. If this can be added like Zoho expenses does for example. Just to speed up and give more power to run through all expenses when viewing them. Also please add multiple document upload to one expense. Sometimes you have two files needed per expense.

Include dates of updates on support pages - some of the information/instructions do not correspond to the current version of Xero.

Stop hiding draft expenses
Currently if you add a receipt through Xero Me this is no longer obviously visible as it used to be on the old home screen. This makes it extremely easy to miss that there is anything pending.
Even if you click on Expenses to review, this does not bring up any draft receipts. It's as though this has been designed to make it really easy to overlook these!

AU payroll - notification when leave request date has been entered twice
Encountered an issue where employees annual leave has been entered twice and it doesn’t flag in the system. Unsure if a Xero glitch or a human glitch, but regardless, it shouldn’t be able to process 2 Annual Leave runs for the same dates/ Pay periods.

I raised a support ticket last week, as our expenses system has become painfully slow, going in and out of expense claims, after approving etc. I have chased them this week, but they have no update. This must have been after they they have updated something in the system. Has anyone else been experiencing these problems. If so, please can you add your support, so that Xero take this seriously and fix it?

multiple users registered for superannuation authorisation
At the moment, only one person and one mobile number can get the authorisation number for the superannuation payments. When we have to make payments weekly, this could be an issue if the one person that is authorised is away unexpectedly. We shouldn't have to change the authorised the person EVERY time they are away. It is annoying. Please consider adding at least 2 people to authorise.

Way to save employee contracts under thier profiles on Xero payroll
It would be really useful if under the employees on payroll module there was a way to upload the employee contracts of employment under their profile. This way we can easily refer to the employee related contract items through Xero payroll.

AU Payroll - Show date an employee submitted a leave request
Please enable a timestamp showing when Employees submitted a request for leave. We have had issues with employees not being paid leave as they submitted leave after the payroll payment date, but before, we have no way to prove this as there is no timestamp on the submission. Once added, make this show in Leave reports as well.
